Politics / Re: VP Osinbajo Visits Communities Attacked By Herdsmen by cjrane: 6:23pm On Apr 05, 2021
TheRareGem1:
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Sunday assured residents of Egedege community in Ebonyi state that Buhari’s administration will seek justice over the March 29th attacks on the community.

Osinbajo, who is on a one-day working visit to the Southeast State was received by Governor Ugwuanyi of Enugu State and his deputy, Kelechi Igwe, at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, en route Ebonyi State for an official engagement.

Osinbajo while visiting Ededege and Effium, both communities attacked by alleged herdsmen, he said the Federal Government will ensure that the perpetrators of the crimes are brought to book.

"I'm here not by myself, I'm here also on the direction of Mr. President, at times when things like this happen, where people are killed, incidents like this happen and we need to bring justice to the people," he said.

"People like you and I, young ones; women, children who come in the morning and are expected to go about their daily business and feed themselves but they ended up dead because of nothing they have done wrong, but because of wicked act of some others who live in the community with them. I want to say that it is very, deeply sad and disheartening.

He added that, "But In particular, the people of this community that have been affected, this whole community, community that has lived for years.”

He explained that, "The attack of 29th of March, when you look at all of these things, one of the things that have occurred to us, is to ensure that this kind of things do not repeat themselves, one is to beef up security, already we are in conversation with the GOC about ensuring more security, we know that GOC has already made some consultation but obviously there is a need for better security, local community security must be ready to give more information to law enforcement agencies," he said.

If Buhari did this all these years, people would not resort to self help today.

But he was too blinded with hatred for any tribe that isn't Fulani that he could not even call the Fulani criminals to order when they killed other Nigerians. Now, it is too little too late. Everybody now knows the game plan is for Fulanis to exterminate locals and take their lands.

Worst part of it is that they are using the Fulani dominated Nigerian army to implement this agenda before our very eyes!

It is highly likely that the Nigerian state security services heavily dominated by Fulani people are behind these activities to help them implement their agenda against Igbo people in particular and conquest of southern Nigeria in general. Truth is that they are in for a ride.

Fulani has tried to rope Hausa people into this issue between Fulani herdsmen killing people in their villages and farms, and the people resisting the extermination agenda of Fulanis.

Throughout human history, this is what happens when you turn the Police into a Fulani-Gestapo style torture and murder machine. All in the vain attempt to terrorize and oppress a people. The more terror is employed to solve civil problems, the more the people will also learn the same tactics to resist.

The heavy handed tactics of "power through the barrel of the gun" used by Fulani leaders in Nigeria will soon backfire unless they adopt more civilized ways of resolving disputes through the rule of law.

When people see the Police and army as foreign instruments of terror and oppression as opposed to being their own Police and army who are there to protect them, this will ALWAYS be the result.

IMO STATE URBAN WATER SUPPLY

Imo State Water and Sewerage Corporation has commenced the installation of bulk meters

The government of His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma has commenced the installation of bulk meters in all urban water works.

The bulk metres will be used to measure and ascertain on a daily basis, the volume of water produced and released to the public.

This is part of the ongoing water sector reforms under Governor Uzodimma which emphasizes transparency in water consumption and usage.

The bulk metres will also help in tracking non revenue water(that is wasted water as a result of burst pipes and water theft).

In Aladinma/Ikenegbu areas for example, many people are getting public water and still deny same. The bulk metre will be used to checkmate such abuses and denials eventually.

Well, this is a good move if they ae truly doubting the people when they say there is no water coming from the public water works supply.

The bulk meter will read ZERO from month to month and finally prove to all doubting Thomases that the public water supply pipes are totally DRY!

Wonderful!!!

That shows you the level of knowledge that folks have about Nigerian constitution. That is why most of them don't understand that 90% of current problems in Nigeria today is because its written in the 1999 constitution that way. Thus the chaos everywhere.

I remember discussing with someone about security situation and he was adamant that Ugwuanyi deployed troops and police! If governors had such power in Nigeria there would be little to no security issues in Nigeria. The security issues emanate because the Federal government viciously control everything including security in the remotest villages. Of course the FG cannot even manage security in Abuja alone talk more the entire Nigeria. Although the state governments are now helping to fund the police in their respective states, their inability to deploy police to trouble spots without first getting permission from Buhari makes policing a mess in Nigeria.

Instead of playing to the gallery and allowing itself to be used by one party causing this conflict, the UK should play the role of a responsible, unbiased umpire to resolve Nigeria's quagmire before it loses the confidence of Nigerians.

Failure of Her Majesty's government to roundly condemn the massacres at Lekki tollgate and Obigbo portends great danger on the confidence of all parties to accept the UK as an unbiased party to helping all Nigerians live in peace, equality and justice under one nation.

BREAKING!!! Suspected Fulani Herdsmen On Rampage, Kill Over 25 Persons In Ebonyi (Graphic Photos)

By Wisdom Nwedene

Suspected Fulani Herdsmen are currently on rampage in Ebonyi State and have killed at least twenty five persons, Igbere TV reports.

IGBERE TV gathered that the ugly incident happened at Egedegede Community, in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

Speaking with IGBERE TV correspondent, a resident of the area who cried out to our correspondent said the herdsmen stormed their village on Monday’s evening, killing at least twenty five persons.

According to her, "our village is currently under attack. About 25 persons were killed yesterday's evening by Fulani herdsmen."

"About five motorcycles were equally set ablaze and three farmlands destroyed, we need help".

When asked how it started, she said trouble started last year when the herdsmen destroyed farmlands of the villagers.

"So about three Herdsman were killed that last year. It's crystal clear that they came for revenge."

Our correspondent gathered that Egedegede bounds Obegu, Amezu, Nkalaha and Eha-amufu (Enugu state) together.

As at the time of filing this report, efforts to speak with Ebonyi State Police Command proved abortive and no statement from the State Government.

STAY WITH IGBERE TV. AFRICA'S NO1 COMMUNITY TV.

There has to be a response to these killings of people in their homeland. Whether today or in 1 year's time. This cannot go unanswered.

In all, this terminal building promises to be one of the most beautiful in the country too!
They are obviously making great efforts to build it exactly as it appears in the prototype. I hope they will also try to replicate the car park with areas planted with flowers and palm or aesthetic trees.

Overall, the extremely high-quality delivery of this project is beyond contest. I just hope they hand the entire land area planned for the Aerotropolis as an annex to be supervised by the Awka Capital Development Authority to have a strong supervisory agency to ensure illegal markets/structures, rubbish lock-up shops, or truck parks are not allowed to spring in the area and turn it into another Ochanja. Finding a strong and credible private real-estate investor like the one doing the Awka Millenium City to sign an MOU on the Anambra Airport City project would be a great step towards getting the Aerotropolis project right and saving government funds from going into the project.

Hopefully, when the main airport access road is completed, steps will be taken to ensure landscaping with trees and road furniture such as standard road signs and street lights are installed on it. Like in the last picture below.

Looks like the exterior of the building will be finished with both glass claddings and the same type of marble tiles used on the exterior of the control tower.

We need FBI and technology to track down these gunmen.

I personally believe it is an act orchestrated by the Fulani Federal government to justify killing of innocent people.

If you look closely at the tribe of the victims, you will easily see they are mainly the few Igbo people in the police force. It clearly shows the identity of the so called gun men. An average Fulani soldier or bandit would waste any igbo whether he is a colleague in the forces or a civilian. But they find it hard to waste even a Fulani bandit. The ease of killing Igbo officers in these attacks is highly suspicious!

Let an independent body tell us who is doing this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxBch8u61h4

The Nomeh people of Enugu state are now suffering after the retreating Fulani herdsmen poisoned their only source of drinking water for demanding that they vacate their farms.

The community of Nomeh has been in the news lately as many videos surfaced online about the atrocities of the Fulani herdsmen in their farms and forests. Finally the Eastern Security network assisted the community farmers in regaining their farms. However, the herdsmen came back secretly and dumped loads of poisonous substances in their stream which is the village's only drinking water source.

The community is now calling on the Enugu State government to come to their assistance in providing an alternative source of drinking water. As fishes, chickens and other animals that drink from this stream which was hitherto their only source of water supply dies instantly.

The Fulanis are desperately pursuing an agenda to take peoples lands and villages by any means necessary. This again proves that these Fulani herdsmen are using their age long strategy of using hunger or lack of portable water or merely attacking and killing members of the local communities to terrorize them and force them to abandon their land to Fulani herdsmen.

Their new frontier of deceit is to use their people in the army to create a general state of insecurity in the place where these herdsmen are being driven from. By killing non-Fulani policemen and prison wardens. So that they can use their Fulani troops inside the Nigerian army to back the Fulani herdsmen from being removed from peoples farms under pretenses of "restoring" security.
Politics / Re: Eastern Nigeria Guerrilla War: Policemen Feared Killed Again In Anambra by cjrane: 12:51am On Mar 20, 2021
Let nobody be deceived.

These attackers are highly trained special forces. Fulani generals in Nigeria military forces are behind these attacks. Their singular aim is create a situation to enable them deploy Fulani troops in our land to kill our people because their agenda to use Fulani herdsmen to annex our land is failing.

They will fail at this latest round of deceit.

Haba Mallama...!!

The military precision of these attacks clearly show that trained soldiers in civilian clothes are involved in doing these attacks. Also, if you check the casualties so far, they are actually the few Igbo people working in the Nigerian police! Everyone knows what Fulanis are planning simply because ESN helped farmers to ask herdsmen to leave their farms and forests.

I can bet you that some top Fulani generals, specifically army generals are plotting these as a preamble to clamp down on the southeast region. But, their plans will fail and could indeed lead to Nigeria to a point of no return.

Then let your state close its airport and use Anambra airport if it will not put it in order to function well.

I can't wait for next month to come so that we see updated pictures of the airport. Perhaps with the runway markings and glass claddings completed. Perhaps they would also have completed the Firs station or started tiling the internal and external parts of the terminal building. I know some people like him also instigated major Igbo transporters in Onitsha claiming an airport in Asaba would kill their land transport business! Many of them bribed Uduaghan to take the airport to Ughelli, but failed. So they will always throw those types of silly arguments.

That night owl is likely one of these Fulani guys prowling around Nairaland. Their disjointed argument is the same. He is trying to claim Enugu to make him appear Igbo. Remember he once said he was from Nibo and when someone from there asked him specific questions, he quickly changed the topic.

The most important thing is that the airport has been built and now a reality. He is also the same that posted above me. So his cries and bitterness that Anambra will get an airport is totally his problem. I am only glad that majority of the people in this forum understood his mission and totally ignored him. I thank Mystery shopper that ensured he cried every time he visits this forum for his witchcraft activities. It has not been easy for him. That is why he uses multiple monikers to respond to himself. There is an underground floor. Did you count it? grin grin grin

I have already done this math when i first saw the tower and counted about 8 window-like openings on it that is used for ventilation. He is counting the position of those windows as "floors" and they are not exactly aligned at floor levels. Besides, the staircase inside towers are usually spiral in most towers.

That is why the height of control towers are universally measured in meters or feet to avoid confusion about the height. This tower is 34.5 meters.

Let us do simple mathematics here for people that didn't eat their school fees. grin
Any architect will tell you the normal height of one floor in a building is 10 feet (3.05 meters). The structure measures 34.5 meters which is 11.32 floors. Thus, the commentator was right to describe the height of the tower as about 12 floors to put the height in lay man's context. If he said 34.5 meters or 113.2 feet, nobody except engineers and architects can know we are talking about a structure which will be exactly the same height as a 12 floors building.

Only in Europe, Australian, America do major international airports have such high control towers. Most African and Asian countries have towers less than 20 meters because they only use steel rods for pillars within the structure and use blocks to build the rest. So making it higher than 20 meters will risk collapse of the structure. I am glad Obiano was thinking about the future here and did not try to cut costs. Lets hope Umahi does an equally high international standard tower. For me i'm just glad that our region that was denied aviation facilities to stiffle our economic growth will eventually have international standard airports everywhere.

Which coy is doing the terminal again?

I hope they include at least 4 jet-bridges! If they do, that would mean the top floor would be for departures (together with the duty free shops) while the ground floor would be for arrivals. There would have to be a clear separation between the two for immigration and customs purposes.

It just occurred to me that it would be tricky using the same terminal building for both int’l and local flights, so maybe they are constructing another terminal for local flights. And we shouldn’t forget the cargo operations aspect too; that would require a whole different type of building...one that can handle cargo.

I'm sure the Chinese company has built other modern airports in China and other countries to win the contract bid. So i know they will have clear way of ensuring departing passengers can be in a safe part of the airport, while arriving passengers will have access to baggage claim area and leave the building to the car park through the "Arrivals" door. So, i am sure they will have at least 2 doors in front and behind for "Arrivals" and "Departures" so they don't mix. For such basic stuff, any company that has designed or built airports should know.

I hope they add aero-bridges to the terminal. Although i found out the only Abuja and Lagos airports use aero bridges for international flights ONLY. Even the aero bridges in Asaba airport is never used. I don't know why.
