Nigeria can not collapse.
Yes, we would continue to hope on that.

People are getting more vocal with Buhari killing their people. Even Ortom could nolonger keep quiet and place nice to a fulani bigot. The time is coming when most Nigerians will be convinced about what is best for Nigeria.

We are going to hang a tank stand on top of this decked kitchen.
Yes, if the compound has a well or borehole, just one 500 gallons GeePee tank to supply water to toilets and kitchen sinks will be appropriate. It will be connected to a pumping machine anyway, so no need to hang too many tanks because no water tanker can fill a tank on 4 storeys roof. Even if you don't connect to the showers so that at least a full tank can last 24 hours to all occupants of the building. That way, they can pump water every night whenever there is light. You can also put a turn off switch on the water to the showers so that in the future if the occupants decide to connect the shower, it's merely about going up there to turn on the switch.

I know you have showed buildings where unsightly situations occurred because water overflowed from the tank and accumulated on the decking. I think if you have a plumber connect a pipe over the overflow hole in the GeePee tank so that the water safely overflow through the pipe away from the building and not pour on the decking when the tank is full will prevent that situation. Thanks for response and pictures.

Cast of the parapet starts......
Oga Spyder,
Owing to many modern high rise flats requesting a functional running water for toilets etc in each flat. Would it be too much load on the building to hang one 500 gallons water tank on that Kitchen ares that is decked.
So that the whole building can at least use water from it daily for basic living.

I say this as opposed to having a separate water tank structure as in the second picture because many people believe that the tanks on the building itself may eventually weaken the structure and make it to collapse. Please advise on this important issue. Thanks Sir.

An an Anambra man, I can say that theie isnt much public interest in Obiano's second term. Besides APGA members, the general public wont care about this ceremony. Not that Obiano didnt do well in his first term, but many Igbos now see their governors as men who are far more interested in the trappings of power to care about the system that emasculates the Igbo nation
Part of the reason the SYSTEM emasculate Igbo is the refusal of the today's Igbo youths to VOTE

They always say it does not CONCERN them who wins or not.We But when people like Buhari win and start closing their businesses and bringing draconian ideas just to target them, they suddenly realize that it truly CONCERNS them who rules and acquires executive powers to hurt them.

I have said it, the northern almajirir child will stand in the sun to get PVC and vote even when they are not voting age, but our people are too big or too busy to participate? Then they give excuses and say, their vote does not matter because the preferred candidate will win. No problems! In time, we shall all see the results of the disastrous behavior not to participate because we think it doesn't concern us. If others elect wicked parochial characters who will look after their interest, you can only blame yourself for not voting your preferred candidate.

Unless a true patriot becomes President to manage Nigeria, it will definitely collapse at some point. Nigeria has been very badly mismanaged by Buhari and his cohorts. It has presently degenerated to arming and encouraging Fulani cattle herders to move south and kill people in their villages and graze on their crops.

All that is needed is for people to organize a resistance abroad and then come into Nigeria and implement it.

Nigeria is a country where we wait for things to get really bad before we address it.

ARROBA:
Enugu airport obstructing masts to be dismantled.

At last the Enugu state government has given approval for the dismantling of two obstructing masts on runway 08 and a community market at the other end to ensure security. The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria FAAN Engr Saleh Dunoma disclosed this in a chat with aviation journalists at the gateway forum of the League of Airports and Aviation Correspondents in Lagos. According to Engr Dunoma, the governor of Enugu state last week during the visit of aviation Minister to the governor ordered the dismantling of the two masts and relocation of the community market to give way for proper expansion and to ensure security of the airport. Dunoma explained that restiveness from communities around the airport has warded off contractors installing the lighting facilities at the airport adding that all the lighting facilities were on ground but could not be installed as a result of hostilities from the communities around the airport. It will be recalled that concerned authorities in the aviation sector had on several occasions called for actions in the dismantling of two obstructing masts on the runway 08 of the Akanu Ibiam international airport Enugu as it posed as danger to safety. The masts which remained threat to air safety are located at the take off end of the runway 08 of the Akanu Ibiam international airport Enugu making it difficult for aircraft to ascend directly. Daily Times carried out investigation with a visit to the manager of Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu, who disclosed that several letters have been written to both NCAA and the Enugu state government to dismantle one of masts belonging to Enugu State Broadcasting Service (ESBS) while the NCAA should carry out its oversight functions. A source told our correspondent that the people charged with the responsibility of bringing down the masts were either playing politics or waiting for the worst to happen before they take action. “We can not continue like this and watch things go bad. For goodness sake, we have the authorities in charge of this and they are waiting for calamity to occur before they swing into action, it’s really bad” International flight operations commenced in Enugu in 2013 with the introduction of the only international airline, Ethiopian Airlines which led to the expansion of the runway from its original condition of 2,500 metres length to 3,000 metres length or 3km to be able to accommodate medium size and big aircraft. It was gathered that the Enugu state government has done little or nothing to improve the status of the airport by constructing facilities such as Very Important Personality lounge like the Kaduna sand Imo state governments did to compliment the contributions of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria. It was gathered further that the airport risks certification hence the government especially the Enugu state, must work with the FAAN management to dismantle the barriers.

Read more at: https://dailytimes.ng/enugu-airport-obstructing-masts-dismantled/
The sad part of these useless tales they invent is that the FAAN and Federal Govt. have no desire whatsoever to develop Akanu Ibiam into a true international airport. Apart from Lagos and Abuja, their drive now is to develop Kano and Kaduna as hubs. Unfortunately Kaduna does not have what it takes to support a true international airport and being only 2 hours from Abuja on road, Abuja will always be a preferred airport to Kaduna.

All the tales these FG officials are talking about plans to demolish everything in Enugu, yet they have not talked about building a mere taxi way or even install Instrument landing system (ILS) to enable the airport take night flights. Mind you northern airports all have ILS, yet they are just seasonal airports for Hajj. If Stella Odua had not paid 100% of the cost of Enugu terminal before she left office, they would have done what they did to second Niger bridge to that terminal project.

The FG should concession AIIA, Enugu so that a private developer will take over and develop the airport. We know their deceit of playing to the gallery, demanding what should be demolished and hoping they will be impossible demands that will buy them time and yet nothing will be done to develop the airport on the FG side at the end of the day. After they demolish that mast and Eke oye market, they will still ask for more buildings more than 3 storeys to be demolished in Emene, yet they won't install any facilities nor complete the taxiway to look like other international airports in Nigeria.

Osun gave out land to investors that built the new schools, Anambra education system is different from Osun, missions manage schools in Anambra, Under Peter Obi's administration he handed 1040 schools to missions to manage and state government fund them
Please don't mind their excuses.

Even the blind knows Anambra government since Peter Obi has given billions to original owners of schools annexed by the government in the past. Those schools have now been turned around to become the best schools in Nigeria. These schools used to be government secondary schools and were so badly mismanaged and then they were returned to their owners by Peter Obi AND FUNDED MASSIVELY BY THE STATE.

Has Osun given one penny to anybody to fund any school? - NO!
Has Osun even funded it's own schools with Billions of naira every few months to help the children have a conducive learning environment? -NO!

The problem with Nigeria is that people applaud bad politicians just because they are governors of their state and fail to speak the truth. Then they turn around to sulk and bad-mouth Nigeria.

Let them continue with their excuses. Soon they will say Osun schools were built in 1800, thats why they look how they look. The same excuses we have heard for their towns.

I think our people should take fish farming seriously.
Since that fishfarm has borehole, why leave the water to get so stale and lack oxygen? No fish can survive in that type of water.

The owner should properly learn how to do fish farming so that his massive investment in constructing concrete tanks will earn him serious money. He should hire a professional for six months to help him get things started if he can't go and learn fish farming somewhere.

Catfish business is great because unlike poultry, the storage of excess catfish is easily done through making smoked fish which can be well packaged and supplied to market traders and supermarkets.

Presently a beautiful resort (Crystal Lake Resort) with ongoing beach is being developed by an indigene as a private sector development while on his part Okorocha is building a 15 km dual carriageway from Mgbidi junction through Oguta. Okorocha rebuilt and equipped the lake resort and even built a conference center during his 1st term but just like everything owned by Government it failed. The present approach of allowing private sector key into the potential is working.
Great that the private sector have been allowed to participate in building resorts to maximize the holidays destination of Oguta lake.

In spite of these efforts, the gains will be limited without SMICA receiving international flights. Okorocha that has done more for Buhari than any other politician to enable Buhari win APC nomination and also win required constitutional 2/3 rd majority should ask Buhari to grant him the favor. Afterall, Kaduna airport and Kano airport are combined in receiving international flights. So Enugu Intl airport and SMICA, Owerri can also combine international flights.

This post mirrors what is happening in the south east and south south, I tthink it's a lack of lands and a ballooning population that is driving this culture of building upwards since the early 80s. In most urban cities like Onitsha, PH, Enugu, Aba, Owerri and Asaba, houses are rising higher than 4 floors.

An old neighbourhood in Onitsha.
Where ever in the world where demand for land is high due to large population, the only way to provide decent accommodation is to build upwards. Even in New York, Berlin or Tokyo.

I just wish the government will be a little responsible to provide paved streets. Even if with interlocking stones.

More importantly to implement the neighborhood water supply system used in American small towns instead of using the antiquated and unworkable central city water works system that is too cumbersome and too large to maintain. Awada needs to have it's own water works system built from contribution from interested buildings and the water works at the edge of the layout will supply every house in the area with water.

They should tell us why Akanu Ibiam international is the ONLY international airport in Nigeria WITHOUT a Taxiway and WHEN they hope to correct that anomaly. They are instead erecting all sorts of obstacles close to the main landing runway so that they can cause an accident and gladly close down the airport for a very long time. If not, why would they be building all these useless Nigerian air-force classroom buildings so close to the runway of an international airport receiving large body aircrafts? Is that spot the only space in the entire airport to build a classroom? Who instructed the airforce commander in Enugu to build a classroom right on the runway of a civilian airport? Why can't they go and build their own airforce base somewhere and build structures on the runway? In Kano and kaduna, the airforce built their own runway. Why not build a second runway in Enugu for the airforce?

I am all for safety and what will bring the desired growth of the airport. Therefore, these pretentious tribalists should first fix the internal issues they have created out of their toxic politics against the airport before focusing on external people building too close to the airport runway or taxiway. They have put all sorts of obstacles along the taxiway of the airport to make it nearly impossible to build a proper taxiway there. Infact some buildings built by the airforce are so dangerously close to the main landing runway as in the picture below a little cross-breeze that shifts the plane on landing will result in a catastrophe. A Boeing 747 wings will definitely smash into that building upon landing. So why should the structure be there? To prevent Akanu Ibiam international airport from ever receiving bigger planes?

So fix the internal obstacles along the taxiway and then go to the external factors. Stop putting the cart before the horse. It exposes their insincerity and hypocrisy.
The ICAO requirement for the closest thing to any runway in any airport is the terminal building is usually about 350-500 meters away from the edge of the runway for runways up to 1800 meters and above in length. AIIA, Enugu has 3000 meters runway length!

Anything closer to this is a grave safety concern and definitely no structure should ever be closer to the runway than the terminal building!

Why black people do things in a shocking manner baffles me?

Pardon me, but it appears most black people have issues.

We see the same issue with 2nd Niger bridge Onitsha, were APC government had to stop work on the project as they had to review impact analysis and compensations...Why wasn't these done before? These could be ploys by the wicked FG to delay these projects?
The reasons why i hate Nigeria and their completely senseless war against part of the same country. Yet they think the country can develop by holding one section of the country down
