Politics / Re: THE NORTH SHOULD NOT BE BLAMED FOR NIGER DELTA UNDER DEVELOPMENT by cjrane: 2:41pm On Jul 14, 2020
Then who stole the Niger Delta resources for 60 years and used it to develop the arid north?

Imagine if the money looted and used to fund cities of Kano, Kaduna, Sokoto or Abuja had been used to develop Warri, Sapele, Oron or Degema?
Politics / Re: Confront Gov. Ugwuanyi On Governance, Stop Incitement Against Herdsmen - Gr by cjrane: 8:27pm On Jul 13, 2020
Silly faceless abbokki posts.

Who is inciting Ugwuanyi about herdsmen? The herdsmen simply need to stop invading farmlands, stop killing farmers and annexing their land as grazing fields.

Nobody will come to any ranch bought by any herdsman to tell them how to do anything. But the current fulani strategy to simply Igbo kill farmers and forcefully take their land for grazing is coming to a full head soon. Ugwuanyi or no ugwuanyi. Retaliatory attacks against killer herdsmen is being carefully devised.

From my observation of happenings in the black communities, l have it on good authority that some blacks in America, Europe and other parts of the world are willing to return to their roots . Same way the Jews did after the Holocaust.
But African Leaders have not done enough to encourage them
ECOWAS should map out some territories from member countries and create a mini-republic for returning blacks all over the world.
60-70% of sold slaves are from West Africa.

What language and geographic area will be official for the new country?

Ghana and Gambia have already provided huge swathes of land for diaspora Africans . Nigeria will be very unlikely to provide anything for free in the safer northern part of the country where land is abundant and available.

But it will be great if they can provide free land in Abuja for diaspora Africans. It will boost the development of Nigeria.
Politics / Re: Buhari Hates Igbos - Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB Insists by cjrane: 4:12pm On Jul 13, 2020
The truth is that buhari roundly hate and despise Igbos in particular and Christians in general.

However, his hatred does not matter. The man himself has already realized that it will take more than another civil war for his hatred to matter at all. Unlike in the 1960s, the Biafrans now have adequate global reach and financial capacity to fund their fight if it becomes necessary. Easily available satellite technology has made a lot of field capabilities possible.

With the mood of international community about the continued existence of the leprous country called Nigeria, he does not want to risk an open conflict that will enable countries already fed up with Nigeria to have opportunity to arm their preferred allies trapped within Nigeria.

Meanwhile Buhari's senseless hate and ill advised policies to marginalize, oppress and destroy Igbos end up hurting and destroying Nigeria much more. Exactly the English proverb of cutting one's nose to spite the face.

Niaja4real:
Please, is there any other Country, the world over that is full of wickedness, backwardness, massive killings, near total collapse of governance and complete insensitivity on the part of government to her citizens, unprecedented level of mass looting of our common patrimony by both the civil servants and political office holders, systemic corruption as perpetrated by the world most corrupt politicians
I weep for this country.
And God as a matter of Fairness, Equity and Justice, owes the people of Sodom and Gomorrah a good dose of apology.

Nigerians deserve the tribal government they installed.

Please, let us just keep quiet as they loot the country to death. Else you will be accused of being against them because they are not from your tribe. Let them loot and enjoy their success in deceiving the youths with tribe and religion .

Today, there are no more checks and balances to stop the looting. The Judiciary is firmly under a dummy as the Chief Justice of Nigeria and the legislature is a mere rubber stamp for any type of looting or outrageous laws they want to pass.

Why is there a heavy dose of mistrust in this thread?

I always look to see how many likes for the pictures, but its almost none? Sometimes, one or two.
I think there is still a huge credibility gap with the Abia thread postings of improvements in Aba. It appears the urban roads are being worked on and gradually being repaired as evident in this video.

My prayer is that this great city finally gets some urban renewal to restore its greatness and lost glory.

Ezennwa:
hmm!

Better to go to bed hungry than to wake up with debt.

Their only "economic plan" is to BORROW and SQUANDER!

Everyone knows that Nigeria cannot afford a huge debt burden, yet they continued to borrow instead implementing austerity measures to cut down cost of governance.

A time will come that you cannot even service these debts and if your hope is to further tax the already impoverished Nigerians, it will finally result in the much awaited revolt. But, don't take my word for it, just continue to borrow mindlessly. Lets see where this irresponsible behavior will lead the country. Soon it will be payback day for Nigeria.

Those playing politics with this sensitive national issue will be first to become impoverished by the borrowers.

Hmmmm, are you tired of borrowing? Please go and borrow another $50 billion dollars to "stop" the recession. grin grin grin You can grow rich by simply spending borrowed money that the silly creditor nations will be cajoled to forgive soon. grin grin grin

Borrow-Borrow finance minister. All your finance management skill is how to borrow from other IMF, World bank, China and plunge Nigeria into another unsustainable debt trap forever.

Instead of simply cutting the cost of governance and harmonize the civil service to remove duplicative services. That way, you will live according to your income instead of piling up debts that the future generations cannot pay.

Politics / Re: 2023: South-East PDP Rejects Zoning Of Presidential Ticket To North by cjrane: 7:29pm On Jul 08, 2020

How polarized and tribalized Nigeria has become today, it is in the best interest of Igbo for the Presidency to go to a moderate northerner from the northeast zone in 2023. Since democracy is a game of numbers, you strategize the best way to win and not always plan to lose woefully.

All this talk by Yoruba to massage Igbo ego on how it has been PDP for 2,000 years, Igbo is the only one without a President and other total nonsense blah blah blah are designed by Tinubu to make the 2023 contest a Yoruba versus Igbo election. So they can rig it mercilessly.

Only naive people like Tinubu will be hoping on APC and PDP giving its tickets to a southerner.

Thank you for this post!

The knockout punch of the PDP by the choice to zone the Presidency at this time to the Northeast is the winning formula that has totally defeated Tinubu, and his crazy calculations! Of course an Igboman deserves to be President, but for 2023, the priority is for the PDP to gain power. Fielding an Igboman for 2023 when all apparatus of power is still with APC is simply foolish and the PDP will fail to regain power.

They already feel like dying since the announcement became official.

The next trick by Yoruba APC now is to whip up the sentiment that igbo should have the shot because they have been in PDP. Funny enough, any Igbo man with the lowest IQ already knows that yoruba APC agitating for PDP to give Igbo their ticket is simply because the PDP decision has totally wrecked all their calculations. grin grin grin cheesy

Nigeria exports only oil and little else. Morocco on the other hand exports over $26b worth of goods.

1.Morocco is the biggest auto manufacturer in Africa with an industry worth over $10b,

About Ogun state, yes it leverages its proximity to Lagos which is the point I made about LOCATION. But for a country the size of Nigeria you need many industrial layouts not a few here and there. Many goods made in Niegria you see in the East come from Ogun/Agbara. Indomie, Milo, Hayat Tissue Paper, Maggi cubes, Floor and kitchen tiles, cement, aluminum profiles. Yes Anambra industrialists are trying but none has the scale of those multinationals. Nestle alone sells over 100b worth of goods produced in Ogun state.

Anambra for now is more of a distribution point. Onitsha has over 40 markets and people flock there to buy and carry elsewhere. But production wise you need 10 companies the size of Intafact Bewery and 500 companies the size of Cutix and Innoson to jumpstart the state employment wise.

Rdokoye,
Sadly this guy is right. We have blindly reduced ourselves to being mere distribution markets for finished products from other parts of Nigeria.

If only we can begin to pay attention to how they are using Igbos in this country. The same wsy they use our importers to keep their sea ports and airports busy. I am hoping that our people begin to pay attention than simply being slavishly industrious. By accepting anything schemed against them by simply working harder and harder to death!

This is what the useless APC federal government wastes money on to organize rented crowds.

Meanwhile, their EFCC never perturbed hushpuppy and even asked the United States FBI to hand him to them. So that they can take bribes and declare him innocent of all crimes of fraud.

Why didn't the corrupt federal government use the EFCC to arrest and prosecute corrupt Nigerian politicians? So it is another sovereign country the United States that must arrest and prosecute Nigerian corrupt politicians?

Shameless and corrupt APC government!

Are Ikwerres people from Binis as claimed ?

If yes I think this post should be rephrased what the Binis will loss for not supporting Amaechi

If Amaechi were Igbo or from the Southeast this article would make sense.

Amaechi can become President of Nigeria just as Tinubu or Kwankwaso can be President. It does not concern Igbo as these people are neither Igbo nor from the southeast. Igbos will still ask for an igbo President from Igboland.

The crazy criminality in this Amechi case is that he wants to take the slot meant for southeast without being from the region nor being Igbo.

Amechi's name is also "Rotimi", why doesn't he take the slot of the southwest as a Yoruba president?

Why this thread pains the same Nigerians who have cornered the country's wealth and excluded the Igbo is still a mystery to me.

A typical Nigerian should be happy by saying, at least they won't be waiting on the FG to develop the region the way the north is being developed. What is the fuss if Igbo resort to using community help to raise funds needed for it's development that was denied by the FG?

Welcome to the wicked souls called "Nigerians".

These are all evidences of when a government decides to punish it's people. Of what benefit is it to Nigerians that we are an oil producing nation? Meanwhile most of these top shots in government don't even use their monies to fuel their vehicles o, it's our national budget that fuels their vehicles and generators...what a shame!

But crude oil price is at about $40 dollars/ barrel!

We paid N97 naira for a litre of petrol when crude oil price was $120 dollars/ barrel. Now that the price has reduced to $40 dollars/ barrel, we are paying almost double for the product?

Pure wickedness on the part of the government!

The Northerner you want to vote is it igbo?

Oga, if the presidency should come to the SE, then it should go to a southeasterner not a southsoutherner.

OR it can go to the northeast which is the next rightful zone.

You cannot bring someone from the SS to take the position of the SE. The worst part is that it's someone who has clearly declared that he isn't Igbo. So, why are you presenting him for the SE? It is a failed agenda that is dead on arrival. Even if Igbo decides to choose a pan-Igbo candidate, it will be someone who has never denied being Igbo ~ ngozi Okonjo Iweala types.

Igbos will vote a moderate northerner in 2023 than someone who publicly professes his hatred for Igbos. Mind you, i'm Delta Igbo, NOT Yoruba. But, i know Amechi is a failed agenda already. Just that you guys are too blind to see it yet.
