PPR IS HERE grin grin grin

IELTS – February 1st
ITA – February 21st
AOR – March 16th
IP2- October 23rd
PPR – October 24th

First week of January, I finally decided to see what all the hullabaloo was about Canadian express entry in order to decide whether or not it will be appropriate for me. I spent the week reading up on the express entry process and reading the living in Canada thread. On the 9th of January, my journey officially started. I paid for WES and applied for transcript. About a week later, I paid for BC IELTS. It was like the heavens approved of my decision, ECA was ready 1st week of February and I did not even have to pay for transcripts as my University sent them FOC. I passed IELTS and family came through for POF making my CRS score 476. I wore my swimming trunk and took the plunge. Everything was moving smoothly. I was already planning June landing BUT London decided to teach me a lesson.

Some days after AOR, I received the dreaded “how to find a job in Canada” mail. From my GCMS notes the email coincided with the date my file was transferred to London. For 6 months, my file was gathering dust in London Visa Office. Also, my eligibility changed from met to not met when it was sent to London. After 6 months, I raised a CSE and was informed that my file had been transferred to Kyiv, Ukraine. In October, I sent a mail to Ralph Goodale and he responded that my eligibility had passed. Shortly afterwards, I moved to NA2, then IP2 and finally received the long awaited PPR.

Throughout this journey, I experienced so many emotions; joy, sadness, hope, euphoria, dejection etc. It was an emotional tasking something but God has done it. Delay is not denial. It finally ended in praise.

Proof of employment – My reference letter was short, only three duties were stated on it. I sha attached payslips, letter of employment, confirmation and promotion to avoid stories that touch

POF – I thought I did everything right for this section but it was this section that sent me to London. My POF had review required on it. I know that some people with review required remain in Ottawa but the one thing almost everyone in the London whatsapp group had in common was that review was required for one or more sections.

IELTS - I stammered and stuttered during my speaking test and did not even finish the two minutes but thankfully, I still got enough points to apply

Finally Nairalanders, you guys are a fantastic bunch of people. Thanks to everyone that has helped in growing this express entry thread. It is a great source of information and was very helpful to me.

I do not know what the affidavit should contain as I did not apply for WAEC. WAEC people, over to you
Canadahome:
Please what the does the draft of affidavit you used while applying for the waec result look like? I should just go to court tell them I need affidavit for waec application?

One page document oh. Anyone that knows a cheaper solution should please assist
joo2018:
Abuja has an international airport and should be cheap now. Unless you are sending a heavy package. Lagos is N9-10k for documents. Benin N14k.
Maybe someone from Abuja can advice better.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by Claire40: 1:54am On Sep 07, 2018
I am sending from Abuja
joo2018:
Might be fair. Depends on your location. Where are you sending from.

Please which courier service is charging 10,000. The quotes I got from FedEx, EMS and DHL to send documents to Canny were from 17,000 and above. Please help a sister smiley ;.
phemmy26:
please i need your input my e-family...

If three individuals decided to process this waec transcript stuff for wes....after the collection of the transcript from waec...cant the three people put the the transcript in one envelope ( The three envelopes into one big envelope grin ) and then pay just the 10k instead of sending it individually......this canada journey hen......na real investment.

2 times per day is small self. That is how it is in the beginning (for most people). After a while the compulsion to check every time will reduce. I can go a week now without checking my account
Reasonabledoubt:
It’s just 4days after AOR, and I’ve been logging signing into my account to check for update more than once a day.

How did you people stay sane o? I’ve read the suggestions here, but it doesn’t seem to be working.

I don’t know how to handle this obsession.

God help me.

The probability of upgrade is low as reading has set answers. It's normal to feel sad, sorry about your result
Daybour1:
1st IELTS 8.5, 6.0, 6.5, 7.0 LRWS
2nd IELTS (just saw result) 8.5, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 LRWS.

I need not say how devastated I am over reading. What do you guys suggest please? Is there any hope reading will change to 7.0 if I apply for a remark?

Greetings e-famz. Having read through the thread, I have a few questions about POF, I might have missed it somewhere in the 500 plus pages,
1) does POF funds have to be in your account before you apply for EOI?
2) Considering the present situation of the country, I intend to sounce this funds from north south east and all over in to an account then into my main account. Mainly from two of my stingy unlcles. How long does the funds have to be in my account before it is safe to return what ever its borrowed,
3) if I am getting it all wrong, pls enlighten me mbok.

Hi People,

Please can the reference and POF letters from my employers and my bank respectfully be addressed as TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN instead of to

Immigrations, Refugees and Canada
Centralized Intake Office
Sydney,
Nova Scotia

This is because I will be using the reference letters periodically to apply for different provinces and even other countries like new zealand and australia

Have your sorted this out? I think 4112 fits. My reference letter(NOC 4112) did not have a long JD. It simply stated that her duties include advising the organization on legal matters, drafting and reviewing of contracts and other documents and giving of legal opinions. On my GCMS notes, the case analyst wrote letter appears to confirm employment and provides a job description that is consistent with the lead statement and main duties as set out in the declared NOC category
Matilda2609:
Good morning house. Am no where near the pool yet, but just gathering up information as I await my ECA. Am an in-house lawyer and my job role is largely; ensuring regulatory compliance within the organization, legal advisory services to all the u its of the organization, protect the company against avoidable legal suits, represent the company in legal proceedings , company secretarial duties, contract drafting and reviews.

I don't quite think these job descriptions fit within NOC 4112 (Lawyers and Quebe Notaries) ditto for NOC 0114. I know they say we can combine two NOCs in one job reference. Do I combine both of these NOCs for this purpose? Elders of the thread, kindly assist with your wealth of experience, please. Thanks alot.
