Personally, I think this is a non-partisan issue. But it is not surprising that they would want to politicize everything. Even this drive is not that credible. The PSC they're talking about is currently 60% for the FG and 40% for the oil majors in profits, which I think is fair. So I clearly cannot understand where the $1t is coming from. Or why they're making it seem like the PDP FG administrations were so incompetent. Even if they got 100% profits and the coys didn't get a dime, it still wouldn't be up to half of the amount they're quoting. That's why I'm also saying nothing would come out of this, because it's clear this is just politics. A couple of billions exchange hands and nothing will be heard until 2023 when the contracts expire.

Funny enough, in 2023, we may end up still negotiating the current 60:40 in favor of the FG because na oil producing areas dey rush these coys. Everybody from Ghana to Israel is now producing oil.

The only person exonerating anyone here is the poster I quoted. He's exonerating the APC FG government that has done, and still doing the same thing the PDP FG administrations did until the states sued them and forced them to settle.

It makes no sense bothering on zombeism. They were forced to settle.... By PDP states and the Supreme Court. How can they possible take credit for being sued and forced to settle?
