But I'd advise that u let it slide. This is a very big family issue, and we all know how evil some families in Nigeria can be. In order to avoid seen and unseen future wahala just forget the matter. If it's love for money thats making her do such thing, let her be. God go take care of all expenses for the burial. Stay quiet and let your creator fight for u

Why are people like this. That's so evil of her.

If she's claiming that she had spent that amount on your dad before his death, fine. Can she provide receipts for all the acclaimed expenses? Is your dad's ailment that serious for she to have spent that kind of amount on him?, If no then she has no point. Get a good lawyer to file a case for the family.

Exactly, dressing among Nigerian woman is now a thing of competition among their fellow women.

Iyaamaaaa it does nothing to my imagination, infact it's like a turn off for me cos I assume such girls lacks good dress sense and packaging. Not just any kind of underwear should be worn with all outfits. Some underwear doesn't go well with some outfit

Tho I'm not a fan of the so called Nigerian pastors. But frz is always coming for the wrong man.

He claims that the members are poor, okay fine.
But let us think about it this way. Isn't oyedepo creating job opportunities for this poor congregation members and the jobless Nigerians at large?
Look at all his establishments, landmark, covenant, kingdom heritage school and the rest of them, most of the teachers and lecturer's in this schools are living faith members.
I know of a brother in one of the living faith church branch here in Nigeria that got a job in one of those establishment based on the fact that he was a member of the church.
Even in the schools, scholarships are given to members who can't afford good education and are of exceptional intelligence.

But Frz keeps on attacking this man. I know there are numerous fake men of God out there, but not all of them are fake. Wealth doesn't connote fake
Travel / Re: Why Do People Become Less Religious When They Travel Abroad? by Clefayomide: 9:29am On Mar 25, 2019
This is so true!!!
I remember during last year's cross over night in one of the living faith church branch. As it's always a tradition in living faith churches to display a live TV showing people from other parts of the world observing the cross over too. It showed people in the USA, Canada and other parts and I was shocked at the tiny number of people present in those churches. It display a particular branch in the US (Georgia I think), I just opened my mouth in shock, and i start to ask myself, do this people even believe in God? Like how can a church be this empty, not on a normal Sunday service ooo, but on a Cross over night. Seats were all empty, and the tiny people that were even present were all Blacks(i guess the ones that still believes there are village people in obodo oyibo lol). And when the TV displayed some part of Africa like South Africa, Tanzania and the likes, lmao you need to see the crowd (you might think it's Lagos carnival going on there).

Pls nairalanders abroad, how is the religious life like in your various locations?

Wooooow...... Never knew your case is as complicated as this, I hereby withdraw my first comment.

As the zeal to leave Nigeria is increasing day by day, I'd advise people to leave legally, leaving illegally is fast but you're definitely going to regret the consequences that follows if you're caught.

Like ifegy said, the Canada express entry program is a good one for you and your husband. The whole process might be time consuming, cumbersome and tiring, but at the long run its worth it. There are tons of videos on youtube about the step by step process on how to apply for the Canada express entry program, I'd advise that you check them out and don't forget to visit the official Canada immigration site for More info. Pls do it the right way, better late than never!!!

Hello ma, hope this message meets you well.
My advice for you is, Please migrate now so you won't live with the regrets later. Life in Nigeria is unpredictable and has a way of suppressing ones dreams at times. This is the best time for you to migrate cos your kids are still very young, you and your husband would be able to further your education before your kids might have come of age and expenses tends to be on the high side. Another thing is, consider the future of this kids, as a parent I'm sure u wouldn't want your kids to grow up in an environment where nothing seems to be working. Set down a good foundation for this kids pls.
Canada is a very good place to settle in terms of opportunities, good education, good working system, cost of living etc.
If people earning 400k in Nigeria are leaving for places like Canada, what excuse does a couple with 260k salary in total have for not leaving when the opportunity kicks in?

Hahahhahahaha grin grin forgive my manners, I am a CSC graduate. The small JS, HTML and CSS are the practical applications of the theoretical concept you will learn in computer science class.
I bet you will know JavaScript more than most of my lecturers and you will be surprised that many cannot check email properly although they are very vast in theory, computation, mathematical concept of computation and can give you better solutions to any problem you find in programming but many of them cannot make any real app using code except the one that go and learn it separately.
I hope you catch my drift??

I can offer to do consultancy grin job for you and answer all your JavaScript problem one on one through WhatsApp all for a token, my number is 0-8-1-7-2-8-3-3-0-7-3 I have been a programmer for quite a while, so I have mastered many languages.

But If you're not interested or you need formal environment then quickly register with a hub e.g Andela and pace up your progress.
Then start a lone journey of becoming a full stack by doing real life project.

Okay sir, thanks for your time. Will look into your suggestions. Thanks

Hi Ayomide.

The short answer is: Yes you can.

The longer answer is: You can enter the IT field in a number of ways. Coding is one way but the IT field is really wide and has needs for a lot of other professionals. With your background in the social sciences, you would be a great fit for any number of skillsets including (and not limited to ) project management, product management, risk and controls, IT business analysis, system integration, IT presales, service administration, service design or even UI/UX analysis.

I'd suggest you just visit udacity or edx and take entry level/basic awareness courses in each of those areas. Or you can visit youtube and do basic searches like "What is UI/UX?" and watch the intro videos just to get a feel for the specific areas.

Once you find an interesting area, then you can dive deep.

I'm just saying, don't limit yourself to coding only (Do it if that's what you really want and yes, it is possible to do it).

I really appreciate your input sir. I love the fact that you've been able to motivate me and giving me options to look into, it means alot sir. I will look into this options and try to know which one is best for me. Thanks. Try have a nice day sir

I can't tell you what to do but here is this.

If you have a very good computer skill needed in a company then it is a nice idea to get a backup certificate.

Also maybe your parent or relative have an IT company and you really like the pay and think you can get a chance grin then run quickly and acquire some IT cert and skills.

If you're just starting out, then I don't think anyone needs a certificate to learn.

my two cent

Thanks for your input sir

I initially was taking few tutorials on web design, but I got stuck on JavaScript, maybe cos of it's complexity unlike HTML and CSS which are just markup language and style sheet respectively.
So I reasoned going for a computer science course will help me to be well grounded in the field and further into the more advanced level.

And no, non of my family own an I.T company. I might be the first, u know grin

Programming / Advice Needed!!! by Clefayomide: 9:40am On Mar 19, 2019
Good day everyone, please I need your advice on this

I'm a student of history and international studies, will be done by next year. Although have always wanted to be in the science field but I wasn't given the opportunity.
So I intend to go for a science related course preferably computer science when I'm done with the Bsc history and international studies next year, cos I have a passion for I.T.
So now my questions are:
1. Is it a good decision?
2. Will I be able to cope being someone with an art background?

Please advise from everyone is welcome, especially those in computer science/ programming field

Pls moderator kindly help me move this to front page. Thanks
Family / Re: My Woman Wears Very Short And Tight Outfits. I Cautioned Her, This Is Happening by Clefayomide: 12:02am On Mar 14, 2019
I feel this issue should be fixed between you and your woman alone, without involving a third party. If you continue to involve a third party in your business all the time, be prepared to have various family meetings over little issue, which to me isn't cool for a long lasting relationship or marriage. If you're not cool with the way she dress, I'd suggest you try talking to her about it again, take her out for little shopping (make sure you go with her), recommend for her a couple of nice responsible outfits, and then from the store u guys should head to a cool restaurant eat something lite. With this, you've been able to talk to her in a loving way and not by fighting her or reporting her to her parents.

Holy God, within a month you were able to get 2job offer, one of which is in a reputable company like Amazon. That's really hard to come by in a country like Nigerian. You're so lucky, pls try to make good use of this lifetime opportunity, get more certification. God bless your hustle. Stay beautiful!!!
