Smaller country like?

Poland, Hungary
Why ? Cos cheap tuition, cost of living, easy transition to other European countries or better Counties. For me I see these countries as stepping stone

You see that bolded, we share the same sentiments. In my case, we can’t even breath around the man. We only laugh when he laughed and cough when he coughed and that calling part, guy you deserve an AWARD oo. Don’t even lemme give you gist of how he treated his masters students. That was one the reason I can’t and will never have get a Masters Degree here!.

I can imagine cos there are alot of them here too. Such nonsense!. AWARD ?? Lol there are some certain things that are not meant to be a big deal but the environment we find ourselves makes it. The funny thing was that I made that call on behalf of every other supervisees present there not just myself alone, but could you believe that the rest of this students backed out leaving me alone to sought myself out ? Likeee they couldn't even speak up to defend me. I just shook my head in disappointment like no be una fault, baba fela don already talk am.

Nigerians are always quick to claim former Nigerians doing well in the diaspora as their own. This people denounced your passport longggg time ago and won't renounce it anytime soon okay. If to say this woman dey this useless Nigeria now she fit be cashier for one underground microfinance bank with 30 thousand naira salary. Work on your country and stop claiming ownership cos as far as I know this woman she's no longer Nigerian

Hmmmm...this is very sad and embarrassing embarassed embarassed

I know this conversation is old, but just to add to it. This happened today. My project supervisor passed a msg that all his supervisees should see him today from 1pm to 2pm and when I got there I met quite a number of people already there waiting for him, that was around past 1. So I also joined them in waiting, we waited for about 45min and it was almost 2pm, then I asked them if anyone has tried to call him to let him know that we are here waiting for him, they replied saying NO that they're are scared to call him lol. I wasn't with my phone so I collected a friend's phone and called him. The conversation goes thus "hello good afternoon sir, I'm one of your supervisees, you asked us to see you today and we are already here waiting for you sir " he replied with a high pitched voice, "you are waiting for me ?" And he hung up. Fast forward to past 2, he came and immediately asked "who among you called me" and I stood up saying it's me Sir, next thing he said you're very stupid, how dare you call me, get out from here I don't want to see you, and I asked while still standing right there "what is my offense sir ?" But he kept on shouting that I should get out, other lecturers present there asked me to obey him and leave. I left and stood outside, he went inside his office, after chatting for minuteesss, he then decided to call people in. I followed them in and upon seeing me he asked me to still get out, what was my offense ? Because I called him ? Ha. He started shouting and said if not that he doesn't want someone's death to be on him he would have went physical with me, ha God! Because I called you ? Omo. He reported me to his fellow colleagues and they asked me to narrate what happened and could you believe what his colleague said ? They said that I'm very stupid, that what right do I have to call him, even if he doesn't show up at all that I have no right to call him to challenge him. Ha challenge him ? When did I challenge him Sir ? Long story short, he attended to every persons except me and what was my offence people ? Because I called him to let him know we were all gathered there waiting for him.
The point I'm trying to make out of this post is that, Nigerian educational system is rotten. Lecturers see themselves as gods and believe they can step on your right and get away with it, Fail you and go scot free.
No check and balances.
Imagine a master's student telling me after the scene that " na money this man dey find just settle the man bro, some of your guys don settle am, you sef do normal"
Such an ewww statement. After today's ordeal, I said to myself it's either I do my Masters outside this country or I don't even do it at all. I so much hate it here I SWEAR

Business / Re: Between Opening A Driving School And Phone Accessories Shop. by Clefayomide: 6:37pm On Dec 30, 2020
IceColdVeins:
Personally, I'll rather start with the driving school, infact that will be my first business whenever I'm ready to start. I'll leave you a few points
-If you are in Lagos, you will understand that phone accessories business is perfectly elastic(you can't sell higher than your competitors in the already saturated market) though with a lower running cost than driving school. Simply put, in driving school business, you dictate your own price.
- A driving school busines leaves you more time for other things as you can schedule your opening time to whenever its convenient for you
- You may get to meet and bond with influential people (if you operate it in a classy environment)
- Driving school business opens door for other businesses ( Hire driving, Car wash, car sales, car registration service, uber...etc)
- You don't need to have a shop or office(from the start). Hence, no fixed cost incurred( All you need is a safe space for your practice cars)
- Government and economic policies (like border closure, exchange rate except from fuel pump price) have little or no effect on driving school business.

MODIFIED:

My points are solidly based on economic principles and personal views, I live and work in a high profile area of Lagos and trust me, the oligopolistic driving school market is thriving around me(plenty of kids, housewives and gfs of rich men that are too busy to teach them how to drive will see you as a saviour). The target market and/or market location is all that matters.
Conclusively, if the op has access to affluent regions, a driving school business would throw more favourable odds instead of the already saturated phone market.

I totally agree with everything you've said, especially your third point I know a guy who works as a driving tutor in a not too porsh area but regardless of that (the environment) he was able to meet influencial people, one of them helped him secure a job in an airport as an Engineer. Take note, the area isn't even fancy o, talk more of when it's a fancy area. I know another guy in the same driving school, this one meets daughters of influencial people, but nigga just have sex and flirt with the ones he can.
So OP I'd suggest you go for the driving school, as it opens other hustles for you, Eg helping people secure learners permit, drivers license since you're definitely going to be registered with frsc (of course you get to add your own fees)
Car sales, among others and if you Sabi network well you get to meet people

To be honest, the course isnt easy.
What will make it easy is if you can program using python or R. For mathematics, it's the least of your problem as the formulas will be provided below your exam question paper. I mean All the formulas you need, there's no need to be cramming, then the way you're tested is in the complexity of the question.

You wont experience maths in second semester.
One of the lecturer left, and the way the exam will be administered will be different, the lecturer that is there now prefers theory and little calculation unlike the one that left, that one prefers only calculation.

Thanks for the feedback.
The providing the formula part must be a great relieve for people like me who dislike maths, guess your school really understand the true meaning of "life no hard". I guess I'll have to face my fears now. Yeah.. I have been learning python for over a couple of months now and I'm doing pretty well, apparently. I have been able to build some basic python projects like madlib, number guessing game, among others. Trying to move on to a library, what python library would you suggest for data analytics ?

let the gift go bro. you've given her so it's hers now not yours now, be matured!. Next time before you buy a girl anything, even if na expensive date, make sure she has earned it in whatever way. buying her stuff wont make her like you and even if she does she's just going to be there for the time being.
girls can act like they like you when they want or expect something from you. Few days ago I asked this girl what her favorite color was and she said she doesn't know, and i told her I wanted to get her something for her birthday (coming up in few days time) that I have no idea what color it should be that's why I wanted to know her favorite color, and she replied immediately with her favorite color (yellow) lmao.... ever since that day whenever we're talking she gives me like 1million laughing emoji, love emoji, among others, this are things she does ones in a blue moon o lol but as e be say I wan buy her something now she gives me those emojis everyday, unknowing to her that I'm planning to give her 5 yellow hi-five Whatsapp emoji on her birthday lmao, I mean! yellow is her favorite color innit lmao.

so bro that's girls for you o

Hello guys, as a fresh graduate with a 2:2 grade, which would you advice I do or would you rather opt in for among the three to have a successful career in the near future?

I don't know your family background but if it's not that of an okay one and you would like to put everything (you, your future, family, and unborn kids) into consideration, I would advice that you go for your MSc in a country that has a good working system with a stay back option for international students. But if you're from a well to do family you can venture into Real Estates and if possible run your masters on the side here in Nigeria (if possibly the 8m carries you that far, which I'm sure it would. 8m is a lot of money in this present Nigeria

at the end of this thread, you'll end up more confused than you were courtesy of nairalanders and their know it all attitude. don't be surprised that some of them that will advise you don't even have upto 100k in their account or ever ran a successful business. just follow your heart and do what you believe would be best for you

So because someone doesn't have money or never ran a successful business before means that they can't render a good advice? Good advice is what the op needs not years of entrepreneurship or how much you or anybody have in their account
