Dino is in Intensive Case Unit! |
martineverest:Now that 'mom' comes first on Hillary's bio, the girl's mentality would now be: "even my role model is first of all a mom....then why am l choosing career first?" "I need to be, first of all, a mom like she is!" |
None of these can withstand Buhari in Presidential election in the North. |
They should have used that huge amount of money to establish an industry! Why waste such huge funds to establish a place of worship? Rubbish! Backward ever, forward never! Just like Judas Iscariot said about the woman with an Alabaster box of ointment! |
TVTKOKO:Theirs eyes being opened? If at all the eyes are, you think the next person they will now open the eyes to see is Atiku?! I tell you, the kind of of political followership Buhari has had overtime in North is cult-like and that is not determined by anything, call it suffering or any name. Buhari has always received massive votes in North even when he featured in his newly formed and unpopular party, CPC back then. And that was not different when he contested against a fellow Northerner, Yar'adua. His undoing at that time was lack of widespread acceptability and the fact that he was contesting against the almighty ruling Centre as a political lone ranger. That was the kind of advantage the likes of Tunubus leveraged upon to sell their party in 2015 against the already formidable PDP. Atiku is in no measure comparable to Buhari in North when it comes to political acceptability. And I don't see that changing in 2019 as long as he is still alive, unless he does not contest for any other reason. |
TVTKOKO:The only thing that can prevent Buhari from being voted for by the North in 2019 is death. One thousand and one Atikus cannot win an election against Buhari in the North even if he sick, unless he does not contest. |
I don't want to call Atiku a prostitute because I respect him. But like they do call prostitutes 'commercial sex-workers' these days, I say Atiku is a 'political sex-worker'! |
RealAdewole:I see. Na strong minus. Strong gbese! |
Lovexme:Okay. But that's strong negative distinction! Na mark o! |
poshflames1:Cape Verde starts with 'C' now; and Nigeria starts with 'N'! |
RealAdewole:And 7/10 is nothing to write home about? |
bord:No! We are playing Fabrega. |
PassingShot:And Yahaya Bello did not participate in party primaries too. So neither the APC nor INEC go by the strict application of the Electoral Law. The fact is no decision or option opened to both the APC and the INEC in this scenario is aptly captured by both the Act and the Constitution. If we want to in any case go by the application of either the Act or the Constitution here, we will only arrive at what seems to be the closest to the provisions of both the Act and the Constitution in the situation on ground. Going by this, neither the APC's nor INEC's decision seems to favour Yahaya Bello in this situation as he doesn't seem to come any closer to the provisions of both legislations. According to the provision of the Electoral Act and INEC's Guiding Rules in announcing the winner, the candidate that polls the highest number of votes and that satisfies the requirement of 25% of votes cast in all the local governments of the State shall be declared the winner of the election on Saturday. By the strict letters of this provision, can Bello be said to have been a candidate with the highest votes having 25% of votes in all the LGs? Faleke, in my opinion, seems to |
dason4life:Nairalanders are the wisest set of people on earth. We have the best approach to all issues. |
Sijo01:Of course, they have been posing with dead and captured boko haram members too. |
maupe:Then what happens to the already substantially conducted election and each of the candidate's results as duly announced? They should be thrown overboard because of the death of one of the candidates? Would you have said this if it was Wada or any of the other candidates that was leading? Or would your position be this if it was the candidate with the least scores that passed on like Audu? |
The ball is in APC's court. They have two options left for them. It's either they fill the space with the candidate second in position to Audu at the party primaries or with Abiodun Faleke who is already a joint contestant with Audu for the people's mandate. The mandate primarily belongs to the party and the Party has the sole decision to chose who to give it to among its eligible members. Only two APC's members are eligible in the circumstance at hand to fill in the vacuum. It's either a party member who contested in the party primaries that produced Audu in the first place, in which case the candidate that came closest to Audu in votes then may most likely fit in, or the candidate in joint contest with him for the party's mandate in the Guber elections, which is still ongoing. As it is now, the APC maintains the right to chose from either of them as there is no law that specifically states they must consider previous party primaries to chose the candidate to fill Audu's position in the circumstance. |
oshyno:Sir, PVC may not determine the number of votes but it actually determines the number of eligible voters. No matter the number of registered voters, they are not eligible to vote if they don't have their PVCs. Incidence forms only come in on the day of election only when a voter's PVC is not recognised by card reader. If a voter does not have a PVC, he cannot even be allowed for accreditation let alone filling an incidence form for him. |
HIGHESTPOPORI So its now d party dat wins elections, but for Taraba, Apc said PDP didn't have a candidate? Hypocrites It's obvious you don't understand the Taraba scenario, friend. In Taraba's situation, PDP did not present a candidate through a legally recognised and due process of electoral law, in that their candidate did not emerge through a party primary election sanctioned by INEC before the Taraba elections. In that case, it was deemed as if they had no candidate in the eye of the law. That is the position of the Tribunal, until apex courts say otherwise. In Kogi's situation, both major parties, APC and PDP, presented their candidates through primary elections. In that case the parties are duely represented and any mandate won by any of candidates can be said to be won and owned by his party too. |
Thank God, it's 3:2. The pace of this match shows we still own this game. The Eaglets will will do well not to open the back too much as to concede a goal through a counter - attack or a silly defence error. In all, taking a lead by 2-goal margin will kill the daring moves of the Mexicans and deliver this game into our hands. And it's a GOAL! That's it. It's 4:2! |
These Eaglets have really shown character! The sign of a team with a good character is when they are down they keep on the mental balance and keep the ball, controlling the game and pressuring the opponents. In no time, a team with that attitude almost always come back from behind and take the lead. That's exactly what the Eaglets have displayed so far in this match. |
The Malians' goal is classic! |
olagockay:He he he he he he!! Of course, he can! But by that time, he will have joined George Weah as the next African World Footballer of the Year! |
Although I said it would be an insult if Chileans were allowed to have a goal ; but I think they deserved it. They'd played a good football. |
Nwakali might be dreaming of winning 'Ballon de Or' one day; that's why he ballooned off the penalty! |
This Nwakali of a guy just wasted the 3rd penalty! |
3rd penalty! |
Funsho Bamgboye was childish there! And he saw the Red.
He should have allowed the lad to go.
Anyway we have the 5th goal! |
Badosqi:They are the best team in all the matches played so far in this tournament. But let's wait till they meet tougher teams. |
