There are things you need to know, you shud be thinking of Hp and Dell. They are not the best shaa buh they are the most affordable and you can easily get any damaged parts. So they come in handy most likely than any other manufacturer.
HP laptops of the same configurations are always costlier than that of DELL with same configurations by difference of 3-6k .

So here are the possible specs they you can get within that amount.
4gig ram, 1.9ghz / 2.0ghz speed, core i3 / core2duo , 500gig HDD, windows 8/8.1 , Bluetooth, Webcam .
14'' screen. Keyboard light? =N/A

Op, I see two different businesses here and not one.

The 1st is the business of that guy and the girl. (In paying for the girl's transport fare you weren't consulted)

The 2nd is the business of that guy and you. (Its a private business between you and the guy and it is, lending him some money to complete his transport fair)

You had no business in the 1st which happened minutes before the 2nd and as such shouldn't appraise or make us appraise the guy's action because you/we aren't so sure about what his motives were.

You had business with the 2nd and we should appraise your action, which is laudable.

If I judge the guy's action without hearing 1st from him I will be a poor judge.

I was in a bus going to school today and right beside me sat this guy and we were at the last row. He saw a girl in the front row he knew probably from the street or the same area where he lives. I could tell that from the little exchange is greetings they had.
After the little greetings they never spoke again until the lady wanted to get down @her bus stop, the guy offered in and paid for her. Of course it was not any of my business until it suddenly became one of my businesses.
It happened that this guy on getting close to his bustop had only 30bucks left on him , he just tapped me on the laps and whispered ' bros abeg u fit help me complete this money I no knw say me carry only small money' jeeeeezzzzz I was like WTF!
