I got their response earlier today. Generic reply that the application is currently under active processing by an officer and they can’t give an estimated completion date.. What to do at this point? Other than raising GCMS notes |

makano: I wanna assume they send replies to the email address that was submitted with the Visa application. And mayb probably the agent submitted his own email address, which means he would have gotten the automated response. You know these agents can be funny atimes, they tend to hide so many things from the applicants. So ur friend should call the agent to know if he got the response or not(He may lie tho) Hi so I spoke too soon. I just got a response from Kenya, it’s very generic. Is there anything we can do other than request GCMS? “Good day, In response to your email enquiry below, kindly note that this application is still under active review by our office. At the moment, we are not in a position to give a clear indication of when we anticipate finalizing this application. However, we wish to inform you that our office is doing the necessary to ensure that this application is processed and finalised within the shortest timeframe possible. Hoping that the information above is satisfactory. Regards” |

Hello guys, good day everyone. I’m asking this on behalf of a friend who applied for study visa via an agent. Her application just crossed 5 months, it’s at Kenya. I raised a CSE(Webform) on her behalf yesterday using her email address. I haven’t gotten an automated response or any feedback. Is this normal? Could it be it was sent to the agent instead?
I ask because Ottawa always sends an automated response when I raise a CSE, I’m a PR applicant. |

Besides, think about it if my sibling excludes my name for any reason, perhaps enstrangement, you coming out to prove your relationship can never be seen as misrepresentation in my opinion. Ah, it actually can be seen as misrepresentation. Case in point, I have a friend applying for a study visa, she omitted her brother for that same reason, enstrangement, IRCC found out and sent her a PFL with a warning of a 5 year ban for not been truthful, withholding information that could affect a Visa Officer’s decision, blah blah. She was asked to explain why she didn’t declare the relationship.. I think if you need to omit a sibling for any reason then you should include an LOE to explain |

lobell: No sir/ma.
First of all they are two different NOC's, ergo you cannot claim them both in your EE application because you can only have one NOC to run with.
It must have been paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation (NOC skill type 0, A or B).
Cheers. You should probably edit this. That requirement is for the minimum 1 year experience to be eligible for FSW - yes it should be in 1 NOC and should be continuous. However, you CAN combine multiple NOCs to gain CRS points (up to 3 years work ex. for max points). Many have done this |

wenks:
The Decision... This journey started in 2017 when my family talked to me about considering the relocation thingy and that was how we started o. From Uniben transcript wahala to WES ECA to IELTS (kai this one humble me)..God was indeed faithful to us.
IELTS... Wify and I wrote IELTS in 2017, and i had LRSW - 6.5,9,8,7. I felt so bad because I thought it was going to be a walk in the park. Wify had an average band of 7 which was all she needed. Na so I start to jack like who dey prepare for war o because after the month i selected to write, there was going to be an increase in BC IELTS costs which was not readily available. So the D-day came and when the result came out I can still remember how tears blurred my eyes as I checked my result on my way to the office while inside Danfo. I had made it and LRSW became 8.5,8,8,7.5 which brought our CRS score to 456 thanks to sibling in Cani points.
ITA in the bag... As expected the wave ITA released on June 25th, 2018 swept me off my fit like kilode!! and so the race to submit in time and avoid mistakes commenced.
NOC Mama @Newmum.... This lady is something else.. she helped me fine tune my JDs well and boy it was impressive. I had an interesting case because my company actually had me loaned to the client for which I had been working and so the ref letter had to come from my supervisor at the client office. Thanks @Newmum
POF In this I saw the hand of baba God as my POF was not complete until the last day I was to submit my application. I wanted to beat the bio-metric requirement but forwhere..CIC catch me for front. I used gift deeds from both my parents, added 6 months bank statement with Payslips and packaged the doc to upload in my CIC account. So my ppl do not be afraid to have huge sums enter your account at once. So long you can satisfactorily explain that it is yours, you got no problem.
The wait... See me see CIC o.. 3months after Jul 31st, 2018 AOR and my medical status was yet to be updated. Omo I wan faint. In that same period Oga Ralph Goodale was being kind and I made use of his service and voila, Med got updated on the 14th of October which also saw my AOR date change to Jul 30th, 2018. By 15th October I got Bio-metrics payment letter which I did same day and by 16th October I got the Request letter telling me to go carry out Bio-metrics. I did that on the 17th of October and by 18th of October, Bio metrics was marked complete. Then another wait o......fast-forward to Dec 7th, I got ADR request for sibling in canada residence information. I submitted on the 8th of Dec but omo these guys no gree o.. Got another ADR on the 14th of Dec for the same ADR..my brethren I added all the addables this time o just to avoid any other ADRs. Lo and Behold my application status for ADR got updated on the 17th of Dec and by Dec 18th I got ghost update.
The final days.. there was this trend of ppl getting their files approved but not getting PPR until they sent a mail to NEWDHELI office especially after finding out their files had been approved. Na so me sef shook head o after confirming on the 27th of Dec from a CIC agent that my file had been completed since on the 18th of Dec. So I sent a mail to NewDheli office on the 31st of Dec 2018 stating what the agent told me.. My people na so I wake up this morning 7th Januray 2019 to Passport Request from NewDheli which entered my mail box around 5:30am Naija time. I SHOUTED!!! This startled Wify and when I told her..Omo madame shout make my own shout sound like learner..lol..I have now sent a mail requesting a re-issue of my PPR letter to Accra.
It has been a heart banging journey but Baba God has been with us all through. I am happy. My ppl...God don arrange my level..the food done well.... Congratulations! |

cutieplum: I'm worried this may be attracting extra scrutiny on my app since i'v raised 2 CSEs and would deffinitely be raising the 3rd one when i eventually book the FD in GTB. Just thinking, does CIC really need to know each time you move your funds around? I thought the requirement is that you have the funds readily available when you submit your application and have them until you land in Canada. If they need to verify your funds at anytime they would issue an ADR. Where the funds are won’t matter as long as you have it readily available to you. My thoughts |

Ifeoma77: Stop begging him, the title doesn't matter, as far as the duties in the letter matches that of a budget officer, you're good. You can add a LOE to explain what 'Corper' means In addition to this @damzy88 as a last ditch effort, can you try to get him to re-word it like so; “This letter relates to Damzyy’s primary assignment with XYZ Global. Damzzy was posted to XYZ Global in March 2014 to serve as a Corp member (Corper) by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Lagos Division. He performed the duties of a Budget Officer and worked full-time approximately 40 hours per week from March 2014 to March 2015” Damzy’s responsiblilties were; ........ Atleast here even though your title is Corper he admits you performed the duties of a Budget Officer. Hope this helps |

Anyway, I’m happy and waiting and I know that God is making my way perfect in Canada while I wait. And several times during that interview, I wanted to give up, she just kept attacking me, but I asked myself, if you don’t fight for this, what will you fight for? So I fought back. I fought one more round. Oh my! That was intense. She was trying to break you but I’m glad you held your own. Good comments in the notes there, I’d say your application is already approved. iamkunski: Please, which exchange rate is tenable to CIC? I don’t know really. What I know.. I used xe.com rates 274 N/CAD and attached screenshots when I submitted. Ordered notes and saw the Analyst used 279 N/CAD. Whatever you decide use, just add some more cash to give yourself a nice buffer. |

prost80: Hello All,
Congrats to all the IELTS grabbers and hopefully more ITA clinchers
I need an advice
1. Post-ITA, For those filling the application for employment, if there is a place i spent like one month employment before i moved to another place, if i have filled it in before and saved it, but tried getting reference and they do not give. Should I just edit it as unemployed? As long as it is not transmitted is it ok, I was reading of time-stamping application or so, I am confused
2) For POF, does it matter regarding the Gift Deed, if it was dated before or after the amount was transferred to one's account. In other words, should the Gift Deed be dated before or after the money was transferred to ones account or there is no difference -if you do not plan to gain points with the employment you can move it to your personal history. Do NOT change it to unemployed, they track changes you make in your application in GCMS. You can also write a LOE explaining the reason - you’re not claiming points and you cannot get a reference letter. -I think it should be done after because it’s a legal doc describing a transfer. It would also mention details of the transfer so I don’t see how it can be done before the transfer All the best |

AOR October 8th LOL that’s not necessarily true but it might be a good thing. London VO is one of the fastest now. The message/IP1 combo means your file has been sent from CIO to a VO (don’t quote me). I also got it the day my app moved to CPC Ottawa. |

DrMrsCK: I think this is wrong cos it is clearly stated that a minimum of 1 year continuous paid work is a requirement on the CIC website. And a few weeks ago, someone here got PPR with 1yr housemanship There are other factors at play here; age, education, etc. he needs to meet the MEC (67) for FSW to be eligible. |

Zutlin: I can only assume you don't know about AVO. If you belonged to a VO where many people are about 1year post AOR and interview dates takes 4 months to receive, you would understand why I feel the need to withdraw and try again before my IELTS expires. If you belong to a VO where even after one has done both interview and DNA testing and passed all since 3 months ago yet there's nothing but deafening silence from Accra, you would understand how serious the matter is.
If you belonged to AVO and you're over 6 months yet your file has not being touched and those with AOR before you have being told by the VO to look forward to early 2019, you will definitely become as restless as I am.
From my tone it's clear that I'm down at the moment. If you can't be helpful or comforting, please just let me be rather that make annoying assertions. I understand your situation, AVO can be terrible, but it would be a shame to withdraw and reapply just to end up in Accra VO again. I am in a number of August AOR groups and I can tell you more than a few Nigerians were transferred to AVO - seems like a lot but I’m not sure if it’s always been that way. So it’s a gamble You know your application best, maybe the docs submitted puts you at greater risk of getting an interview request (which would increase processing time), maybe submitting better documentation would improve your chances even if you end up in AVO.... All the best |

Zutlin: Congratulations to all PPR and ITA recipients. It's been awhile. I decided to take a break to avoid heartbreaks. AVO.
My question...
I have a previous work experience of 2yrs and 6months in a certain NOC.
In one of my current employments, I'll be 6months in April (different NOC from the previous).
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand both NOCs can be combined to claim 3years experienc. Must the second one be a minimum of 1year? I believe you’re correct. Only one work experience needs to be atleast 1 year. You can combine both NOCs as you have described. |

Please anyone that has successfully used Mutual Funds letter should help. Thanks in anticipation Hi please see below the letter I got from ARM Investment Managers.
