Newmum0615: Oh yes I did change my NOC. Even changed job title sef. I used an LOE to explain the reason. Be sure that your job duties actually match 2281. I have worked on a JD that the applicant thought was 2147 in title but was 2282 (technical support role) in actual duties. So be sure. You can change your NOC. Not an issue. I know from memory that Network administrator is 2281 but be sure of the actual duties before you decide. Great! Yes 2281 is a great fit for a Network Administrator, the duties align well. Thank you. |

Hello Newmum0615, Good day. I have a decision to make on changing my primary NOC. I am filling my application post-ITA. I had always thought NOC 2147 better matched my job duties so I chose that as my primary NOC but on further analysis, it appears NOC 2281 is a better fit (my colleagues think so too). Both NOCs are similar, 2147 is more like a step up from 2281. I am a Network Administrator.
I saw from your earlier posts that you considered changing your NOC post ITA, did you do that eventually? and did you explain with an LOE? Please advise.
I am also lowkey worried that changing something now could make my profile ineligible like it happened with TEECANN pre-ITA. |

wizean: Morning everyone, And so it happened that I travelled down with my family to children's practice Lagos yesterday for my medicals. Got in around 8.40am and approached the receptionist on how to go about my medicals. The lady snubbed me for over 30mins. When she finally responded, she said "Oga, am full for the day". I didn't understand her and I asked "Hello ma, please what do you mean u r full for the day? ". She ignored me again. LMAOO, yes that lady is a piece of work. Same thing happened to me. They really should inform people of the 40 tests/day limit when they call to book an appointment. Disorganized lot. |

sleekchic: I just entered the pool and I have UCI ,do they give a different one after ITA? LOL. When I saw this, I remembered I was given a UCI number after creating my EE profile. For some reason it disappeared after receiving ITA/cic website upgrade or maybe I never bothered to check for it. I just found it now by checking my EE profile again. |

SkyWalk12: Yea. You’ll need at least your ITA letter to be able to attend.
For the person that asked, just google planning for Canada. Hi, Thanks for this. There was a mandatory entry for UCI number and I don't have one because I haven't submitted my PR application. I used my ITA Application number instead, not sure how they will process that. I was able to complete the form and submit though. |

Ethelia: My people, I can understand adding step siblings to the application but step parents? under which section will their details go? or will you have 2 names listed as mother /father?
I think listing the step siblings ( and indicating them as such) is enough. Anyway, to each his own Well the step siblings didn’t just drop from heaven, did they? They must have a father. LOL There’s an option for Father and Step Father (I have both) I would rather leave them all out actually but I saw on canadavisa forum it could be tagged as misrepresentation |

telias: No it doesn't affect anything. People abroad also experience multiple divorces. For my husband's profile, this was the situation. He has two sets of half siblings and we did not even know their dates of birth. We inputted an estimate and included in the LOE that the dates are estimates as we do not live together and don't know. Got PPR in December without issues. Truth at all times. Wow I had no idea I had to include my Step Dad and his kids in my application. Hmm, wasn’t sure they qualified as “immediate family” Adding them right away |

joksydamsel: Thanks for your help. I just discovered that I made a mistake in my CRS estimate. It is actually 436. I definitely will be asking for remark of the tests. She has one year of work experience only so she can't be the principal applicant. I saw your story a few pages back, let me add a few points for your consideration, if your CRS really is 436 (with your current IELTS scores) then you may be better off writing a new exam or waiting a few more weeks to observe the CRS cutoff trend before ordering a remark Reasons are; -the remark will invalidate your IELTS results so you can’t use it to join the Pool and from what I’ve seen here, it takes a while to get your results back. Trust me, you don’t want to see the CRS drop to 436 and then miss an ITA because your IELTS scores are tied up. -I think chances are high that the CRS drops to 436 and below within the next few draws...or it may not. EOR May increase your scores...or it may not That’s the Gamble I trust you’ll make the right choice. All the best |

CanadaPR: OK. Thanks a lot. Just came from my PPA and met with the proprietress. So I will be getting reference for 10months indicating I was paid in cash. Never thought of adding my NYSC. Just imagine? I am also using my NYSC experience, this may help. I culled it from a friend’s NYSC reference letter(she got her PR, if it helps) Corp members are paid a monthly salary of 19,800.00 naira by NYSC, which JohnDoe received for the period of March 2095 – February 2096.This was added at the end of my letter just under my job duties. I feel it would make the application more credible as the salary account statements reference “NYSC” as @dumprep pointed out cc @dumprep |

Medicals at The Children Practice, Ikoyi. If you’re considering doing your medicals at The Children Practice, you would do well to get there well before 8:30/9am. Even though their reps told me over the phone that it was a walk-in and I didn’t need to book an appointment, it turns out they have a limit of 40 applicants for Canadian Visa medicals per day. I got in at 8:58am and I was told there was just one spot left, and as fate would have it, a family of 5 walked in just before me We literally had to beg, yes beg, till about 11:30am when the receptionist was done with the other applicants. She made it clear she made an exception just because of the family, lucky me - I took a day off work just for this. |

CRS cutoff for this draw is 441 If your CRS is above 441 = ITA IF your CRS is 441: Created profile on or before December 12, 2017 = ITA Created profile after December 12, 2017 = NO ITA |

wholesomegrace: I honestly didn’t want to announce my PPR until COPR/VISA was ready but somehow, unknowingly, the mail I got yesterday announced itself.
ITA: Jan 24 2018 Travel History: None o. Original greenhorn Acknowledgement of Receipt: 06 March 2018
Passport Request (PPR): 3 May
Current place of employment doesn’t issue such letter for current serving employees so I prepared LOE to this effect. I wrote my job functions on a plain paper, notarized it and it was the lawyer that signed, attached supporting documents (ID card, Offer/promotion letter, pay slips, tax card, appraisals, call card)
Daz all Congratulations! A quick one please, did your offer/promotion letter contain your Job duties? Also did you submit proof of your attempts to obtain a reference letter? Thanks |

Morning people.
So I created my profile yesterday. CRS locked at 441. This morning I got an email that my application has been updated but there were no updates when I logged in to check. (I actually thought they had done the draws already). Is that what we call Ghost updates here? Pre-ITA? LOL |

4Barr: Hi, Denial of Study permit has no bearing on express entry application express it was for misrepresentation or applicant was considered a security threat, if you are afraid that she misrepresented her application, you can explain through an LOE upfront and state the reason for the denial and all other details necessary. On the other hand, if you are not confident that the application will be approved, and you don’t want her to pour sand in your Garri, you can both apply individually (if your CRS scores are strong individually) and upon approval before COPR get married and your application will be merged. A friend has employed this route and their passports were already with Accra, they simply merged their application, and this didn’t even take up to a week since they both had PPR before the marriage and there was no need for other documents apart from the evidence of marriage. This approach will help you spread your risks appropriately and, in the event, that one person gets rejected at least you can get married and explore the option of sponsorship in the future. I hope this is helpful. Many thanks for your response Boss. I think the latter option is better, we can always merge the applications later so let’s spread the risk. I’m very risk averse. LOL thanks again. |

4Barr: You stated above that you want to get married in the process yeah? So why do you want to subject your better half through the stress of IELTS & ECA. This however depends on when you want to add your spouse, it is better to add her Post-AOR.
My Advice: Proceed with your CRS of score of 450 without your fiancé, get ITA, submit your application, allow small breeze to blow on your application (say Na2 stage) then get married and add her to the application. Your Fiancé will not drop your points neither will she need to do IELTS or ECA. Sorry, if I may throw in a hypothetical here... Say I attempted what you suggested here and I got married post AOR and added spouse to my application. Spouse has been denied Canadian study visa in the past due to the common reasons; insufficient POF, insufficient proof she will return after her study visa, insufficient proof of family ties... And although it wasn’t stated, I believe one of the reasons could have been because she didn’t declare she had a sibling residing in Canada because an “agent” thought it would reduce her chances of getting in. Now I know there’s a risk of her getting rejected for misrepresentation - if this isn’t handled properly. If she does get flagged and rejected, are our fates tied in that sense?? or my application could still get approved?? Please help |
