I actually understand your frustrations and I have noticed such posts are quickly deleted. I try to report such posts too and would have done so had the poster not edited it before I logged in. I agree this should be discouraged but not in a way that damns us all We are on the same side here... justwise: You have no slim idea about how many of such post i have removed and in most cases ban the individual, the gift deed fraud is not new here and many of you never condemn it, i decided to only delete and not bring the issue open here because i don't want it to trend but i'm sick of it now.
I know that there are some silent supporters of such fraud because each time such post surfaces only about one or two persons will report it.
If you want to make Nigeria better then start speaking out for what is wrong and not come out to preach to me, many here condemn thieving politicians but given the opportunity some will do even worst. |

justwise: [/b]
Surely it will be fair to people who play by the rule and do the right thing and not people who make every effort to cheat the system and by so doing make life difficult for other genuine applicants
Why do we actually have this default-dubious mindset about everything we do as Nigerians?
If you don't meet the requirement must you get it fraudulently?
Only about 3 people condemned that post and only one person reported it while more people give excuses for it and you still wonder while Nigeria is so screwed up? So you would cut your nose to spite your face? What good will reporting cases like this to IRCC do but bring more scrutiny to Nigerian Applications and Gift deeds? What good will it do to other well-meaning applicants? Isn’t it better to rebuke and then advise the person and the general public? How would this make Nigeria less screwed up? |

This should only happen if you had provided your biometrics in an earlier visa application, if that’s not the case, Call IRCC or raise a CSE ItzBlazing: Please, does anyone know why a biometrics date might be back dated? Mine is, and I dont know what to do? |

Guys, I know we have discussed this before but tighten up your social media/professional accounts.
I just got a LinkedIn view from US-based Security services company with a unit that specializes in Background screening(International).
Even weirder, the view came from someone at their Alberta Office. |

harry41: hello house,
please can I know the required funds in NAIRA for a single applicant? I have been using oanda rate for this conversion. is this correct or is there a standard conversion rate? please help Yes, you can reference OANDA or XE rates in your POF document but I would use a rate between 290 - 300 N/CAD if I were you. Give yourself a nice buffer. That’s one less thing to worry about after AOR |

Inception12: Praise God saints, finally got my PPR in the night. Timeline below; AOR....29th May IP1.....6th June IP2 and ADR.....20th Sept PPR......3 October
ADR was for additional bank statements for pOF...i had initially only used employer pension fund statement. Thank God for this forum, I was stuck at CRS of 430 with only a bachelor's until i learnt of using ACCA diploma (for finishing papers F1 to F9) to get two or more certificate.
Thanks to all who answered my questions and helped in any way. May God bless you who are waiting for your PPR, you'll get there eventually. Congratulations! All the best! |

Uzzyan: The best i can get is an additional 3 points which isnt good enough to be honest. ie 441. 441 is a decent score. The last 5 draws have been 441 or below. Retaking your IELTS ( and maxing) seems to be your fastest option |

Eraytee: to the bold, I have done biometrics with Canada in the last 2yrs (2016&2017 for study visa), does that connotes i would be exempted from biometrics after MEP? I am afraid not, you need to do your biometrics every time you apply for permanent Residency. |

akohwo: Oh thanks for the insight. So mine was not a ghost update after all, The background changed to “We are processing your BG, we will send you a message if we need more info” though not sure if the previous status was “Your Application is in progress, we will send you a message when we start your BG” So is it safe to say I am in IP2? Yes the update was for your Medicals passed and Biometrics letter. I assume you got two email updates.. let’s say you’re in “Biometrics IP2” |

HRgirl: Ease where do you people see thtis IP1 and 2 . I don’t see anything orther than those list of status you need to cross like medicals-You have passed your medicals. Abeg make una help me understand LOL, processing times turned people to data analysts so they figured out a method to IRCC’s madness. IP1 or IP2 are not real stages, people just developed them for the changes in background check status IP1 - is when your BG status shows “Your Application is in progress, we will send you a message when we start your BG” IP2 - is when your BG status Shows “We are processing your BG, we will send you a message if we need more info” It’s like the IP1/IP2 thing don cast sha, it’s all random now. |

Tried to book an appointment with VFS, another wahala, their portal has been down all day even from their end (thats what they said when i called, so they can't even book from their end). I cant afford to waste time at their office but was wondering if i could just risk it and go there without an appointment. Any ideas, if it could take longer than an hour?
BTW, congrats to oga bello321 on your PPR. More rain please The gateman didn’t let me in without an appointment letter. With some hand greasing he would have let me in though but I no dey for that one |

joo2018: Have you done the biometrics? Can you share your experience? Yes I have, it’s pretty straightforward actually. You get the Biometrics Instructions Letter same time as your medical passed status. You will need to book an appointment at VFS for Biometrics (you can book one same day - I used the Lagos VFS in lekki) You’ll need to take the VFS appointment letter, the Biometrics letter, your passport and two copies of your passport data page. The Canadian VFS is on the first floor An agent will check your docs and assign you a tally, once your tally is called you will go in for your Biometrics (basically they take your photo and fingerprints) You will then be given a slip and asked to bring it along when you come back to submit your passport. N.B The Biometrics status on your profile will be updated to “Completed” in a couple of hours |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by clock89: 3:49pm On Sep 07, 2018 |
Chik14: Thank you but are we to collect any evidence of biometrics done frm the VFS office or this is updated frm their end 1ce we do the biometrics. Thank you. You will be given a slip attached to a time stamped photocopy of your passport. You are to bring this when submitting your passport i.e after PPR mail drops |

joo2018: Thanks for your story. I have always maintained we need stories of rejection so people can learn.
See the bolded. First time I'm seeing someone's point drop because of using different NOCs. Are you sure that was the reason? I have a friend who is about to apply who is using 2 NOCs.
cc @Glitteringstar @Newmum0615 et al It is possible they tried to combine a NOC C work experience and that was dropped. Can @v3 confirm this? I used 3 diff NOCs (no PPR yet but my points weren't dropped during profile creation like the OP described) |
