Abi you think say na free? Abi Lagos be magician Jesus wey dey do unverifiable magic? You can make your point without first being arrogant with your opening sentence. Making water available doesn't mean it will be free. It is the responsibility of the government to do so or they privatise it. This is and shouldn't be limited to Lagos state! Moreover, boreholes everywhere have it's negative consequences. |

If truly the leadership of the country is honest, the donations and loans collected during this period would have revived the healthcare system. But this seems otherwise. Issuing threats is not a solution. Should they succumb and return to work, I bet that their output and services will be far below average necessitating the abuse health workers receive from the public. |

Education › Re: I Have Been Withdrawn From Medical School. I Can't Tell My Parents by Cmanforall: 11:32pm On Jun 03, 2020 |
sagna112: My name is Uche a 100Level supposed medicine and surgery student of a Nigerian University, I used to be very brilliant and that was what instigated me to apply for Medicine and Surgery after acquiring an aggregate score of 270 in both JAMB and POST-UTME Examinations, I was then admitted a years ago into a university.
I am the only child of my parents, they have spent so much on me just to make sure I become a doctor, dad had to sell one of his plots of land to pay for my registration fees, purchase a brand new laptop, a phone and clothes for me and all my needs, Mum who has no job since she was sacked by the state government will always try to send the little that will pass through her, when I think of the way she announced to her friends when I gained admission to study Medicine it brings tears from my eyes.
It will be an injustice on me to be blamed or for me to blame myself, I know the effort I have also made, I have always taken my studies serious, I never missed any lecture, I neither miss assignments nor tests, I sit at the front of the class, I don't keep bad gangs, I have never attended a party, sometimes I do RTDB (Read Till Day Break), what is then my offense? why me?
At the end of my 100 level Second semester my CGP was reading 4.2 without a single carryover, I was very happy because I thought I had scaled through the danger zone.
The unexpected occurred when I logged into the school portal at the end of my Second Semester Examination to check my result, I cleared all the courses with A's and B's but a course was reading Carryover, I nearly fainted when I saw the result, it was a biology course I offered in second semester to me the course was the simplest of all. I did not inform my parents because I din not want to dishearten them.
The school resumed, so I went to my HOD and complained, she took me to the Exam office who searched thoroughly for my script and from what I saw it was obvious I failed, I scored 32% and was asked to change department, my HOD advised that I go to Biological Sciences, my eyes were filled with tears.
How do I tell my parents this, it only mean I have brought shame to them. I have remained in school since then crying from one angle to another I don't know whether to go home to my parents to inform them of the truth or keep telling them lies.
I need your sincere advice. Is failing a course a criteria for withdrawal from medicine? Can't you write the carryover course? Was it HOD Medicine you approached or HOD biology? If it is Biology, you should know that some of them were denied such opportunities you have now. So it is better you talk to the Head or Dean of Medicine, he will understand better. I see you being a great doctor, don't give up! |

Health › Re: I'm Ready To Sue One Of The Biggest Private Hospital In Lagos by Cmanforall: 4:25pm On May 24, 2020 |
SolarEdge: We noticed some rash in our 4 months old baby's sex organ which I perceived is a reaction from her diapers, we took her to the hospital for checkup and they recommended anti fungal cream to be applied and instructed that we don't wear her diapers for now while we apply the cream.
While waiting at the hospital pharmacy I noticed the attendant was taking longer time to attend to me, because the doctor had already written to them what they should give to me with my baby's file in front of the attendant. The attendant still asked how old is the baby I said 4 months. She was just giving excuses that she's coming that I should be patient, so I sat down.
After some time she brought the cream and some drugs. We left and got home very late last night, so my wife suggested my baby should start the drugs by morning but we should apply the cream given to us and we did not wear our baby diaper as instructed.
So this morning my wife decided to read through the leaflet in each of the drugs including the cream. To our greatest surprise the cream was strictly meant for adults and it was categorically stated it should not be used for children under age 18
Now, I'm wondering why would the hospital pharmacy attendant give us such cream. Is it that the prescribed cream wasn't available that was why she was going to and fro like the devil described in the book of Job in the Holy Bible.
Please what's your advise on this matter, is it a careless mistake or it was a deliberate act. What is the name of the cream? |

More reasons for Nigerians to doubt the government and the Corona virus hoax.
Our own version of COVID 19 is very confusing like the picture below. Not only that, medical workers should be living in those houses or hotels because of the risk of infecting their loved ones. |
Health › Re: COVID-19: Nigeria Considers Discharging Yet-To-Recover Patients - NCDC DG by Cmanforall: 11:02am On May 22, 2020 |
The way hunger is in the country, the poor won't mind going to those isolation centres after seeing some online videos of fried rice, chicken and juice served to patients. In some parts of the world, testing positive doesn't directly mean admission in isolation centre. Rather, being positive with symptoms does guarantee admission. Could it be the financial burden of those on admission are too much for them to bare? This is a fraction, the government should think twice and provide adequate measures in case of a boom of 'symptomatic' positive patients that would require urgent care. |

Why must every executive government in Imo state be buying brand-new cars for the judges? Even when they win 2nd term, they buy another for this same judges, while the poor masses lack proper transportation system in the state. To be honest, these judges don't need this, or will the government retrieve the ones gifted to them by the previous government? Unless this is to buy favour from the judiciary, otherwise it is worthless! I wish I am a judge, I will publicly reject this, and convince my colleagues to do the same. |
