How come no one has thought about the fact that this man might just want this perfume to give to his wife. He must want her to smell like this lady in the office otherwise what would a man want a woman's perfume for?

Family / Re: The Biggest Mistake In Marriage Right Now For A Woman by cmax16: 7:43am On May 23, 2020
I am a comment reader on nairaland, but I had to sign into my account to like and commend this comment. On point, epic and apt.

KingSatan:

As a man, a father and a grandfather. I have lived life to an extent and this is my view on this subject.

The previous thread was simple and concise, "Never marry a woman who has no means of income".

But that is the truth!

Gone are the days when people marry "Obiageri's" according to the Igbos.
Back then, things weren't this bad. Considering the family setting in those days, women had no other role than to cook, birth, raise children and clean the house.

So their parents prepare them for marriage, teach them how to cook, satisfy a man and raise children. They also spend alot of time grooming their hairs, taking care of their skin (Some parents send their children to fattening rooms) and waiting to get married.

When we got married, we married to keep them at home and show off to our friends. Only a few of us married because of love. Some of our partners were not our choice but our parents.

So when you marry, your wife and children should always reflect your wealth and networth. Most especially, YOUR WIFE.

I repeat, back then things were not this bad and everyone knew their roles.

But in today's world, so many things have changed.

Women should bring to the table as much as they expect from the man.

Raising children costs alot of money and shouldn't be the responsibility of the man alone.

So many marriages have crashed on the alter of poverty or "One stream of income".

We must learn to tell ourselves the truth always.

Back then, you don't spend so much to raise a child. If he or she wants to go to the community school or follow the white man's way of life, you send them as a punishment. But those humble and loyal sons, follow you to the farm and when they come of age, you give them farmlands and wives if possible. But that's not the case anymore.

Apart from formal education abroad, I also encouraged my children to learn sellable skills. One of my son is a fashion designer and that is what puts food on his table in the UK. His college degree only reflects on his call cards.

I told this to my children (Daughters inclusive) never to marry a man or woman who has no verifiable means of income.

Money is needed to run a home in the 21st century. Alot of money!

We no longer live in mud houses or drink from pots.

As for "Entitlement", I think every couple should have that mentality depending on the context.

The man is entitled to his wife's emotional commitment. She is his wife and this also applies to the man.

I am tired of typing.

To be truthful, i warned my son's against mingling with an average African woman. They simply don't want to know the truth. They hate the truth with Passion and that is why true feminism failed woefully here.

In the Diaspora, most men who want peace of mind avoid African women because of their "Entitlement Mentality" and how exploitative they are.

Many of these women don't work but enjoy proceeds of child support from numerous partners. You think it's a coincidence? No it not. It was deliberate.

They just want to seat at home, get fat, enlarge their butts and walk up and down the street like a pussy cat that resides in Buckingham Palace.

Should I talk about Nigeria, where you meet an average Nigerian lady and realise that;

1. She is a college graduate because a "Man" sponsored her in school (Both of them are no longer together as a couple).

2. She has a roof over her head because a "Man" made that available (She has no intention of marrying him).

3. She uses the best smartphone because a "Man" bought it for her (Just another random man).

4. She has clothes on her body because a "Man" gave her money for shopping (Obviously he is "One of those mugus"wink.

5. She has food on her table because so many men send her money.

This same woman has no other skill but sexual skills. The only thing she can offer is "Sexual Intercourse", "Birthing Children" and "Companionship" but she expects the man to "Mark her birthdays with a brand new Escalade", "Buy her parents a new house and train her younger ones in school". Is that not exploitation?

This same woman hates her mother inlaw because she sees her as her rival. Anyway, women have always hated themselves from time immemorial, don't get moved when you see them shout in solidarity, it's just for a few seconds.

When asked about their contribution in the relationship or Marriage, some will say "I birthed children for him". But that's your natural default woman!

Even if you sleep with a sexually active mad man, you will get pregnant and birth for him.

Some will even say, "I satisfy him sexually. I gave him my body and soul". But that is same thing you did with your numerous ex lovers.

According to Pastor Sam Adeyemi, he said "If a woman does not help her husband financially, then how else does she want to help him".

In this age and time, it takes two adults who have a verifiable means of income to build a healthy family.

Cheers!

I hope children don't take after surrogate mothers.

Whatever the case, if i were to do, i wouldn't let someone looking like any of these carry my kids.

A clean fit Latina will be OK. I wouldn't want my kids looking like Okro soup after delivery. I would't want to take chances, science can be funny atimes.

Depends, in some case the surrogate mum is just the vehicle to carry the pregnancy, both the egg & sperm comes from the real parents.

In Christiano Rinaldo's case, the egg came from the surrogate.

There was a country. So the Efcc is asking the court to compel the man to forfeit his money based on suspicion and not proof of crime? Why do these people always want d judiciary to do their jobs for them?

You don't understand how this works do you? Going by his salary of 750k per month, the burden of proof now lies on him to provide evidence before the courts why he should not forfeit that money. If the monies were earn through any lawful activities, provide proof, if they were handed down to you through inheritance, provide proof, if they were a gift, show that it wasn't given to you while in service as that would circumvent millitary & civilian laid down rules....

Otherwise, forfeit it. The funny thing is the general is cooperating, but wailers won't take it!!!

Health / Re: Any Diet Or Drug To Become Fat And Add Weight? by cmax16: 7:18pm On Jan 31, 2018
Ok, am not much of a contributor on nairaland, I just like reading comment, but I feel I should say something here if it helps.

I use to be very slim. I mean very slim, when I was a teenager, into my twenties and early thirties. My friends then i'v lost contact with from secondary school would see me after ten years and scream my name "XYZ! You no dey chop?!, are you alright?!" I was weighing btw 55-58 kg...That isn't much for a man is it? My mum would always say "don't worry about it, men usually pile up weight in their 30's if you are not careful you would start battling it" I would never wear jeans then, always cut-and-sow, I would even wear 2 boxers inside just to prep my bottom a bit... My yansh flat no be small...

Fast forward to today, am not exactly sure if "in their thirties" my mum was referring to coincided with when I got married or not. But believe me I have seen slim married men. I now weigh 86 kg! See, just like my mum said, I am now watching it. Sometimes I eat once a day. More often than not twice daily now. Those that know me before would say "if XYZ could add weight you have hope" in encouraging other slim fellows or themselves. I was that slim.

So my advise to you is, don't sweat it. Becos of your hussle, the rate your own body metabolise and use fat stored and energy through food is quite higher than say others. As you begin to experience rest when your investment or hussle is paying off or have payed off, your body will use less of the stored fat, which would in time build up coinciding with most people when they are in their 30's. Do you know why some men on getting married to a good wife start looking robust? The lady cooks, do their laundry and organise the house for them, a chore that otherwise most men hate. What troubles you add to anxiety, anxiety eats into you making you slim. Have you seen a fat prisoner?

Chill, eat well, do the things you love. You will remember this post in years to come.

Sports / Re: Muhammad Ali's Muslim Funeral Service Begins by cmax16: 6:38am On Jun 10, 2016
Gaddafithe2nd:

Please, do your research well. Muhammed Ali and Malcolm X denounced Nation of Islam. They were Sunni muslims.
About his burial it all depends on the decision of his family, sometimes the deceased might gave them his words when he was alive, this is how he wants to be buried.
Muslims don't bury with casket, they can use the casket to carry his corpse to the cemetery.

Yes he did, it was even Elijah Muhammad's son Wallace Mohammed that led them to join the more inclusive sunni Muslim after the death of his father, but obviously that radicalised thinking in Ali never gave way. A Sunni Muslim that accepts the embodiment of its teachings will never ask to be buried in a casket.
Sports / Re: Muhammad Ali's Muslim Funeral Service Begins by cmax16: 10:23pm On Jun 09, 2016
Ishilove:

I thought muslims are buried before 6pm on the day of their death? Why is Ali's own different?

Muhammad Ali belongs to a group called "Nation of Islam" led by Elijah Muhammad from 1934-1975. He was a mentor to Louise Farrakhan, Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali and his son Warret Deen Mohammed.

NOI is an African-American Islamic religious movement founded in Detroit Wallace D Farad Muhammad on July 4th 1930.

Technically, they are a group of black Muslim's. The Nation of Islam does not hide it prejudices. The organisations philosophy has been, from its earliest days, racist to the core. It's founder Farad Muhammad taught that the white race was produced thousands of years ago in a failed laboratory experiment by an evil wizard called Yacub.

So while they are technically muslims, as seen by their visit to mecca to perform the pilgrimage (Muhammad Ali inclusive), they maintained their autonomy and remained a sect guided by their own outright philosophy.

This could explain why they didn't necessarily adhered to the rule of burying before dusk.

Career / Re: To Become A 2nd Lieutenant In Nigerian Army. Benefits by cmax16: 7:18am On May 31, 2016
doskie:
hahahahaha.. Lolzzz. Are you a soldier mam? You said a 2nd lieutenant is non commissioned.

Commissioned officer are those that graduated from the Nigerian defence academy, they can rise to become full fledged generals depending on further studies and off course who you know or as it were before now, who's/which successful coup you helped installed.

Non commissioned officers gets into the army through the Nigerian Army graduate (DSSC) employment. Someone who gets in via this route will definitely not rise in the army as fast as someone who went through the full complimentary course at NDA. If you attain the rank of Colonel through this route, count your stars lucky.

I believe this is what the lady was trying to say when she referenced commissioned and non commissioned officer.

@OP, it will be practicably impossible to run a business you will oversee directly and still work in the army...unless of course you have develop and put in place mechanism to make the business run without you being physically possible, a thing I suppose most businesses in Nigeria aren't equipped for.

Not long on nairaland there was a thread that explains the real difference between an entrepreneur and self-employed.
