To the last question, IMHO, the basics in a nutshell is for the script to compare if what is written in the textfield tallies with what text for the image displayed is correct. Of course the image displayed is selected randomly using php.

beyond that, if you're really up for it, you could add a https connection string between the script and the server so the connection to the images is secure and the algorithm isn't reverse engineered.

But how are these systems really created? I mean, how do they develop the images randomly. I've seen these on many other sites. Well, I guess we'll have to settle with the one we see. Thanks webMonk.

How can one avoid the submission of forms to db or emails by these bots. I've heard of reCaptcha but is there some other professional way of doing it? like the one you see while signing up to yahoo where you see just the image?

I quite agree with Kehers. The BG no follow. Also I think you should extend the bottom left div (Use wiserace to) below the ajax tabs to fit with the width of the column.

Thanks smartsoft, it's just that the free ones don't look as professional as I expect them to be and the paid ones require the use of credit cards which I don't have yet.

Yeah we know the customer is the boss but men, you've got so much attitude. Take it easy.

Though Nairahost delays in replying their tickets, I think the solution to this problem is actually to use the support ticket and be a little bit patient. I also had an issue with them using the webpay feature but at least it was finally resolved. It's just the Naija way of doing things so everyone just has to adapt. No one is perfect.

The mistake you made was not to have taken down the transaction id. I guess you must have just negleted the notice. If at all you didn't see the transaction id or something went wrong during the transaction, you can't expect your domains to be up within two days. Nobody does business for charity.

about the GTB Ennova account credit stuff, does it actually point out that you made the payment? cos other people pay into that account. If it actually points out the fact that you made the payment, then Nairahost should of course get your domains registered immediately.

It's also quite surprising and suspicious that they (nairahost) must have seen the credit to their account and still insist that nothing was paid . I guess we need an explanation for that. Cos we're talking about reputation here.

Sometimes, these systems just develop some kind of errors and so we have to go back to the old ways. Why not just check your account history online. If you see that truely your account was credited by smartsoft, then render his service and everybody is happy.

it's only available at intercontinental bank plc in owerri. Chances are that you cannot purchase the card in one day cos of the huge crowd there so prepare yourself before attempting to buy.

Buying the supplementary definitely does not give you "automatic admission" cos there are tens of thousands out there to get the form but if you play your cards well, you should be able to get something.

I heard PHP is the easiest to HACK tho I'm not sure of that.

JSP was recommended when it comes to security but your clients should be able to adapt to the cost of having it.
