Hi guys, JAMB has released the results for its just concluded UTME exams. The result have come with mixed feelings from different candidates.
This thread is focused on sharing your JAMB result, expectations and next steps. You can use the following format for my spouse like this below:

Don't know what next plans are now. seems the score may not be able to gain entry for MBBS. However, my spouse has a first degree in Biology and has a very high 2:1, so we are considering converting to DE option. Hopefully JAMB will enable her covert to DE in coming days

This story doesn't add up. Is it possible to withdraw over 500k from an ATM card in Nigeria? I always believed the max is 100k. Also why would you allow them whisk you away without creating a scene. It's possible this event took place, but something must have exposed you as a potential target

Then there's a fully dedicated market for VW and Audi parts in itire market. Touareg and Audi share the same parts which is good for the car.

Don't just take your car to a road side mechanic. They will mess it up.

I have strong experience with automotive diagnosis and repair services, so what I do to save my own costs is, I take my time to diagnose my car and determine the exact fault and your to they it fixed, then I take my car to road side mechanic and tell them exactly what to do for me. I sit there with them until my aim is achieved. Most times I just need them to help with difficult mechanical jobs, but when it comes to not do laborious jobs, I buy my parts myself, get them replaced and do the right adaptation and programming where needed.

If you are an enthusiastic car lover you'll find Touareg a good companion, but if you're a regular aesthetic car person, you won't value touareg much hence complaints down the line.

Coding a touareg is more like coding between a Rottweiler and a Samoyed puppy. Both na dog, but one dog is built for ruggedness and security and the other is built for love and fashion.

I have an option to buy 2012 lexus rx350 and Volkswagen touareg 2012 petrol v6 which of the SUV is more rugged, durable and easy to repair.. I need your opinion guys am not an expert.

I own and drive a 2013 Touareg executive model. I have also test driven Rx350

Many people you talk to about the touareg have never even entered one not to talk of driving. Some of them have driving the 1st edition model of 04 - 09 and assume the later model 11 - 17 are the same cars.

Touareg sales was stopped in the US as of 2018 upwards because it mostly was a direct competition with Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne.

Touareg is not a car for small children. It is a high-end luxury car. It is as expensive to maintain as Audi Q7 and gle 350. If you can't look down on q7 and Cayenne then you wouldn't look down on touareg because they are the same car with different badges and seat capacity only. Every other things is basically the same

Advice, if you want to buy a touareg, please look for one without any hidden fault and also make sure you have access to a knowledgeable technician that has knowledge of electronic diagnosis using Vagcom. The car is fully automated and computer controlled, so you need a lot of coding, adaptation and recalibration to set the car to standard. Once this is done correctly, the car will serve you with its life.

The engine and transmission of 7P touareg is one of the best in the world with 8 speed tranny, this machine is a pegauses of Nigerian road.

Myth: Volkswagen Touareg is a very problematic car. Parts are very expensive.

Fact: VW Touareg (esp 2011 upwards) is built on the same platform as Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne. Engine and transmission are extremely reliable and one of the best in the world (8-speed tranny). compared to cars of the same grade, parts are relatively equitable and also very durable. Note parts are shared between VW and Audi.

I own two VW Touareg T3 VR6 exec/lux models. one is 2011 and the other 2013. Coming from a person that has owned Toyota Highlander 2009 model, Mercedes E350, I can tell you that VW is the best car I have ever driven for my money. The off-road capability of the Touareg makes it a perfect case for our Naija bad roads. Just don't buy the model with Air suspensions, they can be very expensive to fix. People say the price of VW parts is expensive. Yes this is true. But on what basis are you comparing it to? This car is in Audi Q7, Porsche cayenne, and ML350 segment. The front headlamp of my TReg costs between 90 - 100k (one unit), the front headlamp of 2012 ML30, Audi Q7 and GLE cost even more.

These are german machines, please stop comparing them with Highlander. The TReg is over 6000 lbs weight. meaning its body was built with solid aluminum metal. It will drive for years without going out of shape. The highlander, even Opay motorcycle and disfigure it in a minor accident.

Earlier versions of Treg 04-09 models were known for electrical problems, but tech has come along way since then and this car is beautiful as hell.

Year on year, TReg and Audi are not cheap at all compared to Toyota. Also Nigerian market tends to make the toyota products over valued due to belief or reliability.

Every car. I repeat every car will die if not properly maintained. Touareg and Audi are luxury vehicles, and shouldn't be compared with Toyota.

2011 - 2014 Treg is between 8.5m - 13.5m
2011 - 2015 Audi Q7 is between 9m - 15m toks
2011 - 2014 Highlander is between - 6.5m - 12.5m

In terms of Fuel consumption, The Touareg TDi has the best mpg of any of the 3 mentioned SUV. The VR6 petrol cylinder isn't bad as well but its mpg is still as good the higlander at 19mpg vs 19.5mpgs. This is still very impressive considering the amount of torque and horseposer the Treg engine churns out.

My brother, if you have money, buy a good car and enjoy it. Treg and highlander are not mates. Treg is basically a 5 seater version of Q7 since they share the same parts and built from same factory line.

I was a a funeral some weeks back and saw the way people wailed rolling themselves on the floor. I was quite sad about the demise of the deceased but i couldn't bring myself to tears. I felt like i was a cold heart.
Then i tried to flash back to when i last cried and realized it was almost 20 years ago! Yes 20 years ago. And this happened when i went in for my surgery. Immediately the anesthesia faded, i cried profusely . I am not sure it was because of the anesthesia though, probably because i saw my mum panicking and i broke don in tears.
Since then I haven't shed a tear for any reason at all. Am i normal at all?

The ball is rolling at Total now. Everyone should just relax. There must have been a mix-up. Total is very transparent in their process (when they choose to be).
Technical interview invites have started rolling out as some people have testified. It means that within the next 2 weeks a better understanding will appear.
Be calm, be optimistic. It's not a do or die job. In the end it's just 1 person per role that is needed. Do the math. Shalom
