It does and that's not even something debatable, LinkedIn jobs offer relocation and more pay, if you don't know this, then you will be the only one not knowing then again I'm Tech so we might be an exception field.

In getting jobs with better pay, I agree with you that LinkedIn is better. Most clients on Upwork lowball freelancers because they know they can always get someone else to do the job for less, Only the "JJC" and enterprise clients pay freelancers really well. But IMO compared to Linkedin, Upwork still remains the best place for entry-levels to get a job, If they research and spend quality time experimenting with different proposals, bio, and portfolio formats.

Symfony 3, then later 4(hello world), I found it very steep, I just moved to Java, but I've used it for a Project with the Doctrine DBAL. Symfony is a flexible framework but the curve was too much for me. But I don't do PHP anymore like that

Replying here so as not to derail the other thread. You didn't stick around it long enough that is why you feel the curve is long.

qtguru:
This is the first time I'll hear someone running Symfony on shared hosting. Op just move to a Linux cloud server it's 2022. I can't imagine not using symfony cli.

Some shared hosting provides something similar to cli

felibrain:
The error says so but that's not really the problem. It looks more like a routing problem.. The database is intact and there is no table called route. I did not build the app. Another dev in the team did but he is dead now. Its a CRM app and he handled all deployments for customers. Now I need to deploy but I don't know Symfony and its driving me crazy as this needs to be done ASAP. It has forced me to start learning symfony but I cant be a pro in 2 days.
Really hope someone saves me here while I learn.

That is the problem, The `route` table is missing, doctrine says it has to be there because there are calls to it. have you ran migration to the latest version as qtguru suggested, php app/console doctrine:migration:migrate. if you are still having problems you can contact me from my profile

felibrain:
The app is already built using Symfony 1.4. We need to deploy and get it to work in production. We uploaded everything but getting an error. See it here https://cryptonaireshub.com/web/dev.php
If you think you know what the problem is and can fix it ASAP let's chat on WhatsApp O8O9430112five

Please don't waste our time if you don't understand or know how to fix the error

Just as @qtguru said. The error message is clear enough but I suspect that you are running on shared hosting

If you can't install APC because you are on shared hosting then it is better to use something else for caching, locate your `factories.yml` in your `app/config/` folder and change the caching provider from `sfAPCCache` to `sfFileCache`.

qtguru:
Bro you try, that framework is more complex than Java Spring and na PHP, I ran away.

really? I think it just has a steeper learning curve compared to other PHP frameworks. I also don't know which version you have tried but from sf4, most things are easier to do.

felibrain:
Please if anyone here is very experienced with Symfony framework I need your urgent help/service

Hi, what do you need ? I breathe symfony.

Is there anybody here whose company or relocation agency mailed the embassy about getting an appointment date for their spouse? i need your help with the content of the email your hr sent

IAD2020:
I and my daughter applied using the Skilled Immigration act visa category. We went with the family reunion documents and also with the preapproval and power of attorney document, my husband's office got these documents for us. We had no issue at the embassy, though we are still awaiting visa approval.

Thank you

Has anyone relocated with their spouse yo Germany using the skilled Immigration act visa category. Assuming you are the primary applicant, what document did your spouse take to the embassy that didn’t make you have issue with the securities, is it family reunion document or skilled immigration act document?

I think so, does it work on other websites? Also, is it the access gold card you have? That is the one i use

@Op I know that urge of wanting to learn everything fast and start making money, But you need to know that it might take more time than you have envisioned. I'm saying this so you don't end up frustrated after scratching the surface of different programming languages and tooling and you still can't get a good job. Unlike the first guy on this thread said, Money is a good motivation but if you focus too much on money, you might get tired when it is not coming as fast as you think it will. Take your time and learn, don't over-rush ( jack of all trade master of none ). It doesn't really work that way. Your roadmap is fine ( if you are not planning to learn everything in a year). @codedboy95 I called them and they told me to send a mail to an address to ask for an update which i did 2days ago but still no response. I will wait till next week, if I don't hear from them, I will tell my HR to send a message to them. Please how did you handle your own case?

That exactly what I did, sent a mail and later called them. I am sure they see the mails but don't just respond to them. Yes, wait till next week to see if they call you for your visa.

Merryzu:
@codedboy95 i am in the 10th week post interview for bluecard visa and still no word from the embassy. It is well and i still believe God will do it soonest. I hope you are enjoying Berlin?

I'm sure you will hear back from them this week or next ( at the most ), have you tried to call them? Also, ask your company HR to send a mail to them.

zilonnn:
Can anyone that recently moved their family (wife and kids) on an EU Blue Card share the duration they waited after the family reunion interview? My wife and kids had their interview on the 6th of September with all documents checking out fine, no need for verification, apartment size confirmed okay, and all things checked out, but we are yet to get a feedback. I’ve emailed the visa back office but no response. I’ll appreciate your help.

You should call the embassy.

btw, I saw your previous post about applying for pre-approval yourself, how did you do it? can I mail you? I am already in berlin but I need pre-approval for my wife

Merryzu:
Unfortunately, my job start date was 4th October 2022 and i still haven't heard from them. I contacted my employer and i was told it is not a problem since they can always adjust the start date on my contract but i do not know if the German embassy share the same view. It is well ooo. I believe God is in control as always.

Sadly, The embassy doesn't care about your start date. My initial start date was 1st of august but because of the delay, my employer kept moving it and now it is November 1st. Why they were not so worried because I started working with them remotely. so maybe you can propose working remotely with them if that is something they are open to but stay positive, I they will get in contact with you next week

MrAnonymous:
Hi,
For blue card, did you submit an A1 certificate or was it a requirement to speak German?
Also, did you use an NPC birth certificate or a declaration? (assuming you were born before 92).
I already had my interview with an NPC cert my parents got for me 11yrs ago.
Although I expect they would request a declaration via mail, I just want to know if anyone else has had success with an NPC cert.

For blue card, you don't need A1 certificate. I was born after 92 so I used NPC certificate

timbs001:
Congratulations bro. So happy for you.

JahBwoy:
Congratulations man!

Merryzu:
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am in the 7th week of waiting ie. Post blue card interview and yet no mail from the embassy but your testimony just encouraged me. I am believing God that very soon I will hear from them.

Thanks guys

I got my visa yesterday after waiting 9 weeks post appointment/interview. thanks to everyone here, most especially @timbs001.
JFYI, I was asked to bring payslip to verify one of my past foreign work experience. So anyone who is applying or has applied for a blue card visa should bear in mind that they can ask for you to provide bank statements to verify your work experience

Please what learning resources do you need to pass upwork readiness test. I really need to do that for my profile.

it takes 5mins or less to prepare for the test ( At least that was the case when I did mine 3 years back ). The questions they ask you are just basic behavioral questions (Unless it has changed? ) Questions like if a client asks you to take work outside Upwork what will do you?

Just go to the Upwork readiness page, there will be a 5-10mins prep telling you about upwork policies, after that take the test, they will ask you questions on what you just read.
