Following a brief beta period, WhatsApp has now updated its app to allow users to share any file type. This means you’re no longer limited to things like photos, videos, PDFs, and Word documents: as long as the file is under 100 MB in size, you can share anything. The update, WhatsApp version 2.17.254, also improves the way bundled photos are viewed. Rather than seeing a column of a dozen pictures in a conversation, when multiple images are sent at once, these are now compacted into a more manageable thumbnail gallery. This can be tapped to view full-size versions of the pics. WhatsApp has also introduced a few other minor visual changes to the app, though it hasn’t altered the way in which files are sent — this is still achieved using the attach (paperclip) button... Meanwhile, messaging app Telegram is still leading the pack when it comes to file size restrictions — it has supported 1.5 GB files since its launch. The WhatsApp update is rolling out now, so if you don’t have the latest version already, you should see it pop up on your device in the coming days. Let us know what you think of WhatsApp’s latest moves in the comments... Previous WhatsApp updates WhatsApp update: Pinned chats feature May 19: This feature allows you to pin up to three chats to the top of the conversation list. To do so, all you have to do is tap and hold on a chat, select the new pin icon that appears in the action bar, and you’re good to go. Once pinned, the chat will remain at the top at all times, so you won’t have any trouble finding it once you open the app. Of course, you can always unpin a chat whenever you want to and pin a different one. WhatsApp update: Support for Google Gboard GIFs March 17: This update added the option of sending GIFs with Google’s Gboard keyboard. Previously, GIFs were supported but only through WhatsApp’s own GIF interface. Gboard’s GIF panel was grayed out and, therefore, unusable within the app. This has now changed, which is great news for the millions of Gboard users around the world. WhatsApp update: WhatsApp status updates February 20: In a bid to further compete with Snapchat, WhatsApp has launched a new feature called Status. Like Snapchat Stories, the new status feature lets users share photos and videos with friends which will disappear after a short period of time. WhatsApp dropped its longstanding text-based status updates when it introduced the new format but, following user feedback, the company later reintroduced the static statuses too. Users can now use both features independently. WhatsApp update: Two-step verification February 10: WhatsApp users can now enable two-step verification on their accounts for tighter security. It’s not setup automatically, nor does the app prompt you to do so, instead you’ll have to go to Settings > Account > Two-step verification > Enable. Then, add a six-digit PIN and backup email address and confirm. The next time you try to set up a device with your telephone number, you’ll be prompted for your PIN code. WhatsApp update: WhatsApp adds new emoji from Android 7.1 February 4: All the Unicode 9 emoji introduced in Android 7.1 and iOS 10.2 have now been added to the WhatsApp beta app. With gender equality and new professions, to skin tones and more anthropomorphic figures, WhatsApp has an emoji to suit everyone. https://www.droid.ng/topic/662/whatsapp-will-now-allow-you-to-share-any-file-type-/

Gangnam Style, the quirky South Korean video that spawned a global dance craze and went so viral it nearly broke YouTube, has finally been dethroned as the most watched video. After four and a half years as YouTube's most seen video, Gangnam Style slipped late Monday to number two, replaced by See You Again by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth. Gangnam Style, a satirical take on the nouveau riche residents of the Seoul district by the same name, surprised even its singer, Psy, with its sudden global ascent in 2012. Psy, who until Gangnam Style was little known outside of South Korea, found an avid fan base with the video's equestrian-style dance moves set to its infectious pop beat. The video became the first to reach one billion views on YouTube and caused the site's engineers to scramble to make changes when it topped 2.1 billion views, previously thought to be the maximum possible. As of early Tuesday US time, Gangnam Style had 2.895 billion views on YouTube, a notch under See You Again, which was featured in the 2015 action movie Furious 7. See You Again intersperses scenes from the film with Wiz Khalifa rapping and Charlie Puth singing as they overlook a sandy coast. The song was a tribute to Paul Walker, an actor in The Fast and Furious film franchise who died in a car wreck. Psy's triumph was all the more striking due to the overwhelming dominance of English-language music on global charts. In a new example, Despacito - a Spanish-language reggaeton song by Puerto Rican star Luis Fonsi and rapper Daddy Yankee -- has reigned for nine weeks at the top of the US Billboard singles chart. The Despacito video is already the fifth most-watched on YouTube at 2.486 billion views even though it was released just this year. Once historic when Psy crossed the threshold, a total of 68 clips have passed the one billion view mark on YouTube, all but three of them music videos. https://www.droid.ng/topic/661/see-you-again-dethrones-gangnam-style-as-most-watched-youtube-video-/

Nigerian adsense is two ways.. if you put in your normal bank savings account you get paid in naira (The bank converts the $$ sent to naira using their local market rate) but if you use Domiciliary account you will be paid in $$, you get your hard currency from the bank and go change it from Bdc at black market rate Mastarbliss:Usa, Uk adsense is easy to get/buy... But it also comes with stress like verification and receiving payments.. |

Researchers at Check Point, which recently reported malicious subtitles, have now reported a new malware campaign on Google Play. Dubbed 'Judy', the auto-clicking adware was found on 41 apps developed by a Korean company, according to researchers. The malware used infected devices to generate fraudulent clicks on advertisements for generating revenues. Researchers claim that the 'Judy' malware has affected between 8.5 million and 36.5 million Android devices as the malicious apps saw downloads between 4.5 million and 18.5 million. Notably, Google removed the malicious apps from the Google Play store after Check Point notified it about the threat. "Some of the apps we discovered resided on Google Play for several years, but all were recently updated. It is unclear how long the malicious code existed inside the apps, hence the actual spread of the malware remains unknown," writes Check Point team talking about the Judy malware. Researchers also found several apps containing Judy malware developed by other developers on Google Play. Though, any connection between the two malware campaigns couldn't be established. "The connection between the two campaigns remains unclear, and it is possible that one borrowed code from the other, knowingly or unknowingly," adds the team. Check Point reported that the oldest app in the second campaign from other developers were last updated in April 2016 which means that the "malicious code hid for a long time on the Play store undetected." Researchers also add that similar to previously reported malicious apps like FalseGuide, Judy also relies on the communication with its Command and Control server (C&C) for its operation. Check Point last month reported FalseGuide botnet malware which infected millions of Android devices via Google Play, and which was hidden in over 40 guide apps for games in Google Play.
