Nice formation but i will rather move CR7 to 7 and tevev as my lone striker, thereby pining Albidal to the back and rooney will pin Alves to the back. this will reduce the pressure they might want to pile on us
Exactly, i think CR7 also likes playing behind somebody, anybody grin grin to be used as a decoy.

@ Sauron

Good formation, but i dont think Fergie would play Ronaldo as a lone striker, probably swap Tevez with Ronaldo.

Inasmuch as we are anticiating their inward forrays, they are also looking at keeping the likes of Rooney and Ronaldo at bay, this even everything.

Have we somehow concluded we will be meeting BARCA ??grin grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Champions Of England! by codedguy1(m): 3:17pm On May 06, 2009
What if we play both park and Ronaldo on the flanks, Tevez and Rooney up front. Tevez would drop a little to assist in the Mid field with Ando, and Carrick. then we can accommodate everbody and still be effective.

Against Barca, we would need to match em attack for attack, its not a two-legged game. we have the fire power to also put them to the sword and their defence is not so good, putting them under pressure should be the game plan.

What y'all think.

More than a year ago. . . . .

Anyways, who do u guys want to meet in Rome and why?
Who will replace Fletcherino in the final? Scholes or Possebon or Giggsy?
I want to meet BARCA it would be on a neutral ground and we can put this 'who is the best team on earth thingy' to rest.

Dont think any English club can match UNITED with one hand on the trophy already.

Barca has been Raping them La Liga teams, lets see the best attack against the best defence, eith some exceptional counter attacking play in the mix.

This would be explosive. I think Fergie might start Giggsy.

Gaynners you can contribute, if you wish to, just make sure you make sense grin grin grin

Dont think any english team can match UNITED in the CL Finals. I want a UNITED/BARCA Final.
Lets meet them in the finals and make them realise that La liga is shyte. A replica of the semi final last season, this time its on a neutral ground, so no qualms.

Gaynners are really pathetic, they will only win a game when there is actually nothing much at stake and then capitulate when they are supposed to stand up and get counted, and to make matters worse, they start mouthiing off as if thats what they intend to achieve in the season.

Beat us home and away last season, ended up with nada.
This season, beat us in the first legg and are still cemented in 4th place, pathetic. tongue

You can win some battles, it will only make sense if you eventually win the war.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only by codedguy1(m): 9:41am On May 06, 2009
Its really hard being a Gaynner at this point and time. Sorrow tears and Blood flowing like milk and honey.

The three teams that have a chance at lifting the trophy also brings pain for them gaynners because they also like beefing players that have left them for other clubs.

Man United has qualified and will have a shot at the cup, thats already a sad taste in the mouth of Gaynners, considering the fact that we just taught them the ABC of soccer.

If its chelsea, Ashley Cole fondly called Cashley by Gaynners would have justified his leaving and calling them a Buncha featherweights. that would hurt the gayners badly.

Hleb and Henry also have a chance at this coveted cup, they also would have justified their exit from the Ass Anal that supposedly plays sweet, free flowing, sexy but ineffective footie without the hunger or tenaciousness to win a trophy in about 5 seasons.

Worse still is that some key players might leave again.

I think we should just start with the same team that played in the 1st leg.
Exactly!!! We need to attack from the blast of the whistle so them Arses will know we are taking no prisoners.

its game over once we score, especially if we score first.

Am loving Ando and Fletcher in that midfield, they seem to know how to compliment each other, it showed in the first game. Arses were lucky they did not conceed more than a goal and thats what they would be banking on.

We shall see.

My final words on this penalty matter. First of all, being denied a legitimate penalty (in a different game, different competition and a different ref) is no defence for the dubious at best, or more aptly, scandalous duplicity of Howard Webb in gifting you that penalty. Attacking hard is no guarantee of goals, but once one goes in, the floodgates may be opened.
When last did you see UNITED attack hard and not score. You also say when one goal goes in the floodgates MAY open. 'MAY' means . it can be either way. Floodgates for UNITED or Frustration for UNITED, Why cant you accept that it opened in this case, and leave the pen outta this. Who says UNITED would not have scored seconds after the pen was given, if it had not been given.

We were always gonna come at them spuds with everything we hard. it was a foregone conclusion, even Harry knew it himself.

debosky:
No one is denying your attacking game, but moments like that swing games. Spurs could have weathered the initial storm and nicked a third on the break, or you could have gone ahead to score 6.
.
Weathered which stormhuh How many teams would be able to weather that kind of storm for 45mins from UNITED. I know wetin dey pain you Debo? you are jealous of the fact that UNITED come back from being down to win games unlike your sorry Arses who can only come back to draw games. grin grin

debosky:
While the criticism of the 'penalty' may be overboard, you can't deny the effect of the goal as a 'catalyst'.

If Webb didn't give the penalty, the tide might not have turned - that is what Spurs & Harry are mad about. No one knows what would have happened sans the penalty - that's life for you.

I don't like fraudulent penalties - it takes something away from games.

The truth is, Liverpool and Utd tend to get the most fraudulent penalties awarded for them. I think it's because refs are intimidated by the atmosphere at their stadiums.

For every Gibbs or Terry incident, there are about 6 cases of Vida elbowing and pulling shirts without punishment. Thank goodness for the ref during the Utd - Liverpool clash for having the balls to punish him.  tongue

The ref on Wednesday better behave himself - if he messes up, Eboue will rain hot slaps on his face.  grin grin
Try to be fair for once in your miserable life Debo  tongue

From the blast of the whistle in the second half, it was obvious UNITED were out to kill anything in sight.
So because a supposedly controversial penalty was given means Spurs decided the game would end in that manner, so they just gave in. The truth is they never thought they would be two goals up and were confused as to how to manage the situation especially when man U decided to turn in the heat.

On the other hand, UNITED never thought they would be two goals down at the end of the first half. It was a matter of how one reacts when he finds himself in an unfamiliar position. Geddit. tongue

Its gonna be dicey, the flanks and the midfield is where the fireworks will be.

Do we play to neutralize their game or Go gong Ho. i liked the setting with the fantastic four, with carrick and Anderson sitting deep, of cause Fergie wont start that way but at some point would like to see this formation.

Anyways, its gonna be one hell of a game, but i see Fergie nicking it over two games.

Also no one has been able to explain the other four goals!!!
Why would they Explain the other four goals, didn't you see HW kick the ball into TH goal himself, that has made it a no go area.

Leave these frustrated twats alone, they will only see what they want to see.

First of all, dude, please have some shame. Your trophy cabinet is full of dust so thick that nobody at the Emirates bothers to clean it anymore. . .United's is still pretty fresh and sparkly, yet you're acting like we're the ones that haven't won a trophy in a long time.
We're still in the running for the UCL, and the Prem (you guys had better not let Rafa rule on Tuesday, else we will be brutal on the 29th grin ) . Quit acting like you wouldn't be happy about it if Arsenal got the CC.

Fact remains that FA trophy or not, United have won the Prem back to back, are the current UCL title holders, have won the CWC, have won the CC, are topping the Prem table, and are still strong contenders for the UCL title this season.
Now, be honest with your gaynner self and tell me Wenger wouldn't give his spotted left nut to be able to boast of the above!!

So y'all should quit acting like United being out of the FA Cup run is the worst thing to have ever happened in the history of modern day soccer! Even Rafa didn't think it was worth ranting about, and we all know he loves to rant about anything that involves United grin

And, don't worry about TKB. . .DK would have prob'ly killed him before I can get around to banning grin

Sometimes when you talk its as if the other team should not even kick the ball because they are playing UNITED. Cool down, we now have our work cut out and must prove ourselves, instead of whinning about what we said ealier in the season being right.

When Ronaldo who i didn't think played well scored two goals against villa, you didn't say this, now he did not score yesterday his body language is wack would you also say the same about the rest of our players? Cut the the guy some slack, am sure he wants to win this like every other player would like to (first to win UCL back 2 back).
