When I gave my life to Christ at Foursquare Gospel Church, I was in JSS 1. After we said the sinner's prayer, our Sunday School teacher tried to get us baptised in the Holy Spirit. I was waiting for the Holy Spirit to descend on me and make me speak in tongues, but I didn't feel anything. Most of the girls started speaking in tongues, but I got nothing. I earnestly and sincerely ask God for it, but nothing happened.

When I got to Ife and started attending ECU, the fellowship my parents attended, we had to take a membership class and my teacher and his best friend also tried to get me baptised in the Holy Spirit to no avail. I remember them taking me to the sports center and praying with me and urging me to speak. I patiently waited for the Holy Spirit to descend on me but nothing happened. Then they had to explain that speaking in tongues is by faith. God supplies the word, and we speak them out, they said. To me it sounded as if they were encouraging me to fake it, and suggesting that everyone fakes it, but I just couldn't accept that. I wanted to experience it genuinely, like the apostles did in the bible.

So one day, as I was praying very intensely in my room, I felt a subtle urge to start saying some nonsense words that came to my mind, and I did. And once I started, I found that new words came to my mind and I could continue speaking them. That's how I started speaking in tongues. In my fellowship, it was common for the pastors to ask everyone to start speaking in tongues during worship; now I could join in! But it was also a bit of a disappointment because the experience was emotional, not supernatural. The Holy Spirit didn't take over my body.

When I was re-watching Sinach's video to transcribe her tongues, I actually felt the urge to speak in tongues again. I think listening to the beautiful way she sang the tongues triggered something in me. I bet I can still speak in tongues today if I choose to succumb to the feeling.

Well, he is our next rated and it looks like he's proven himself this year. The young lad had a lot of criticism about him not deserving the award but the singer dropped a couple hit songs and an album which has gotten quite a lot of good ratings. The Mavin act has been ranked 10th on the list.

With singles like "Standing Ovation", "BAD" "If i start to talk" "African Waist" and more Tiwa popped the music industry locally and internationally, she went on several successful tours and signed international deals.

And as expected his song was one of most downloaded songs this year.
Phyno has been one of the most amazing artists of 2016.

Olamide dropped an album November last year with quite a lot of hits, and the singer went on and dropped more singles after that. Even though the singer has been criticized by many for dropping too much songs with less quality content, out of them the singer still made hits and sold out shows this year and he was featured on one of the biggest songs of the year "Fada Fada". He is definitely the 2nd on this list.

And finally.. Man Of The Year!! Its so funny how someone who didn't make this list last year is the one topping it this year isn't it? Well, what could have caused it though? Oh.. i think we all know answer; "Hard Work".
Very well, we can tell for sure none of you would disagree he really is the man of the year.
Tekno had singles like Duro,Wash,Where and Pana trending in Nigeria this year, it is obvious every single was a hit back to back. The TrippleMG youngster surprised a lot this year with tens of million youtube views and non stopping airplays.

Farin Ruwa waterfalls, which was first discovered in the 1950s by the colonialists, is a spectacular waterfall about 120 kilometres away from Lafia, the capital city of Nasarawa State, 30 kilometres away from Wamba, the local government headquarters and about 160 kilometres from Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital.

The waterfall is geographically situated in Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State – just between the boundary of Bokkos and Wamba local council areas of Plateau and Nasarawa States respectively.

To develop the waterfall to international tourism standards, the Nasarawa state government is investing millions of dollars to build chalets and a hotel complex, a golf course, water and amusement parks, among other recreational facilities that will attract tourists by their thousands.

When completed, they would transform the waterfall into the biggest tourist destination in Nigeria, put Nasarawa State on the world tourism map and transform the country into a major tourist destination.

Farin Ruwa is just as spectacular as Canada’s Niagara Falls and Zambia’s Victoria Falls. The nature and beauty of the waterfalls takes ones’ breath away!

It is a truly magnificent work of nature for its high level falls which is about 150 metres high and 50 metres wide, absolutely incomparable with other waterfalls in Nigeria.

Farin Ruwa coined it’s name from the local inhabitants within the area due to the nature of the falls. Due to the height covered on the descent as well, the water crashes heavily on its way down the Jos plateau escarpment, gradually turning the water white in color.
From a distance, to inhabitants of Farin Ruwa and tourists alike, a white like smoke covers the mountains.

Found in the Farin Ruwa Development Area, under Wamba Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, the falls shares a boundary with Plateau State.
To protect its rich heritage, the colonial administration gazetted it and named it Marhai Forest Reserve. However, despite this early development, Farin Ruwa was consigned to the background until the creation of Nasarawa State in 1996.

The best time to visit and see Farin Ruwa at its highpoint is in the month of April through the summer months of July, August and September. Aided by the mid-year rains, Farin Ruwa becomes tempestuous, roaring down the hills in a stream of whiteness.
The force of its gusting water is so torrential that it can be mistaken for white smoke or white liquid from where it gets its name – Farin Ruwa, meaning “White Water” in the Hausa language.

The surrounding forest also makes the area a prime location for bird watching and over 2,500 birds from 148 species had been found within the area. Of the 148 bird species, 15 are of conservation importance and three are typical of the forest habitat. The 15 species of conservation importance suggest that the forest reserve within the area is an important bird enclave.
