a little more explanation will do, thanks
The Assignment is more of the explanation than a problem. All you need is right there in the question. You will be needing lots of decision symbols in your flow chart.
ProgrammingRe: [Assignment Help] A Company Selling Cds And Dvds by CodeHouse: 8:05pm On Dec 01, 2014
You need to understand the whole question and write a simple algorithm the way you understand it in plain English and then with the necessary flow chart symbols, convert your algorithm to flow chart. The rest of the question is easy, I expect you to know the merits of Automation over manual process.

If you decide to be lazy and require the complete solution done for you with the software, then no problem, check my signature for my contact.

After the post on Easy CBT, A nairalander contacted me for His custom CBT software. Below is a screen shot of one of the modules of the finished work.

Contact me or have me ☎ you for yours...also, the fuel station management software is available for customization.

After customization, you decide on who to sell to and how much you want to sell, with total control of the Admin Panel.

Why wait till January to start your BIG plan? The outcome of your tomorrow is totally the result of the decisions you make today.

Question for the gods.

If you know anything about programming, you will be able to figure out the answer to your question. The ATM machine is a hardware and such aspects of programming falls under embedded system programming. The C language is very useful here. The ATM is a system, some proprietary languages may have gone in there and it is also possible that each part of that machine is programmed with the appropriate language that could best suit the purpose. The logic of an ATM is simple, check balance and make payment or not, simulating such is not a big deal. Although the checking of balance may not be that simple as a central server has to be consulted directly and probably some other servers say other banks via a web service and all that.
ATM run on XP, you do not need a special language, anyone can program an interface to work with the necessary hadwares, it is 0's and 1's...there are some ATM, especially the one for Diamond Bank in a particular area in Lagos that shows the windows XP desktop with the My Computer, Recycle Bin icons before d diamond bank login screen appears each time you want to start a new transaction.

ProgrammingRe: Internet-enabled Desktop Applications by CodeHouse: 10:07am On Nov 19, 2014
Is this new? No! Some of us have been developing Desktop apps with cloud features since time of slice bread. I have posted about such about desktop apps. I still prefer Desktop programming to any web things, any time, any day.

It is pertinent to state clearly that the world is going mobile n cloud so Desktop Programmers are to step up to do something web friendly.

Among what my Desktop app can do are: send and read emails, send sms, upload and download files to and from server, write to server, update front page and any other page of a website, stream and play audio and videos from a server, update database, update flat database, chatting client with sever IP (my chatting platform has been for years, with modification I can create rooms in php), work with Micro contollers to automate devices and actuators, etc

Desktop programming is core such that you relate with the OS directly.

Thank you so much grin In other words , each of the items should have unique barcode tags printed on them. The problem is , not all products come with barcodes . I think this is where ur software becomes useful
Yes all products have different barcodes but a group of similar product have thesame barcode, e.g all Chemiron have thesame barcode, all bournvita tin have thesame barcode, etc

So you generate a list of barcodes for thesame product and tag them.

So the scanner comes with its own software where you can do these stuffs u mentioned or do I have to integrate it to a third party software like excel ?
Not all scanner comes with a software, infact mine didn't come with one and most scanners are plug and play..don't worry yourself too much about how you are to integrate the scanner, scanners are just designed to paste the barcode numbers on any active focus, I.e it will paste the codes into the field you created for the barcode input. That's all

Now I have the customizable alert system . This can trigger pop-up messages and email messages to designated email addresses . It triggers this alert when a drug's expiry date is below 30 days ( customizable ) or when the quantity of drugs are getting low .
Now you are developing a software..keep up with the coding!

Thanks .
I would love to incorporate barcode but I don't know how to go about it .

What's the price of the scanner ? Have you worked with any before ?
Last time I bought a scanner for a client from Jumia, it was N6,500 for the model I bought and YES I have worked with barcodes.

I have a barcode generator software I developed for tagging products without barcode. You generate the barcodes, print them and tag your products.

The aim of the scanner is to automate purchase of items, so at your admin module, you first register your stocks with their corresponding barcodes.

At the front end, you scan a barcode of an item and it will automatically search for that item from the warehouse(stocks), display all the related information, price and all..
ProgrammingRe: Follow Me On My Contract by CodeHouse: 12:34pm On Nov 09, 2014
There should be a stock trigger to flag low stock and alert storekeeper that stock is getting low via sms or email.

There should be a date field, I don't see that. What about return to stock field? Which will be later approved by the admin to retun to the general stock.

Why not start with the admin module, it will help you decide the front end fields and looks. Also to set permissions for users, I.e giving priviledges

Creatg a programmng language - conceptualizg, defining and implemntg it - is a major undertakg. Puttg tht on ur resume shud get you plenty of job offers. Open sourcg it would even take you farther as well as contributing overall to computer history (and puttg nigeria in line for som positive attention). Any plans to open source soon?
Yes mate, And I get plenty of job offers but some of us just derive pleasure in just knowing your code works..writing a compiler was actually an assignment for 5 of us but we couldn't even submit the assignment, because we couldn't do it.

My Lecturer back then was strict and thought he was purnishing us or something, I got home one day and wrote my OS on a diskette, well it was all DOS anyway but it worked without any important feature, all I could do then was to load my own version of OS at boot up to display my name or something.

About the the compiler, I continued to work on it until now. It is still too C related so I want it to be totally CHapi before I think of OpenSource. I want it to be totally English-Like, suitable for the weakest of pesons and besides I have other love. I left its further development long time ago.

Do you also know that Notepad++ allows you to create your own syntax and semantics..start from there.

iow , typical user networks are highly insecure and unprotected. And mails are usually sent unecrypted on these netwrks. I can see where a market for ur product comes in. But the question is still hanging, y dont these mail companies simply add content hashing utilities for users at the client ends . Either thru a browser plugin, or a standalone app? On d encryption thing, even hackers/crackers know where not to thread. While there is foolproof encryption algorithm, the latest ones require impractical amounts of time and resources (super computers) to crack.
Now we are getting somewhere..
ProgrammingRe: Mail Crypt - Safest Way To Send Vital Information by CodeHouse(op): 9:22pm On Nov 07, 2014

Hacked in wat sense. Are d contents on these mail servers insecure? Hav/do hackers easily penetrate yahoo/google servers to get contents?
Or is d insecurity in d transprt channel? I.e are contents highly insecure wen sent over d wire ?
If d second is d case, then ur encrypter only encrypts contents sent over d wire.
But if d second is d case, y wouldnt corps with known vulnerabilities simply attack encrypters/decrypters transparently to their front ends?
Theyve got d manpower and resources to do so.
I could hack a mail on the fly and get the content as my sniffers are designed to do just that. My encrypter is solely designed to encrypt content and not logon as the mail hosts are in the best position to secure their users logon information and profile.

ME encrypts content and attachments, there is a usual saying for all programmers, that is, "If it can be compiled, then it can be decompiled" Nothing in this world is 100% secure, with enough time, which might take months, years, 100% will become 0%.

But the fact here is as hackers continue to show vulnerability of apps and sites, it helps the security companies to device new methods to tackle insecurity.

If anyone would hack into a message, at least let the person work hard for it ( that's if he or she is able to hack the algorithm used for the encryption). The best encryption process today will be hacked someday.

Are you saying, popular mail clients aint safe for heavy use.
For most of d world, they fire yahoo, google add their attachments and theyre good to go. Dont yahoo and google hav security baked in already?
Nope, don't get me wrong mate..you are talking about security in terms of logon, I am talking security in terms of logon and content.

Yahoo is the most hacked Mail client I have ever seen, most times yahoo paint Nigeria black on their home page cos of what blackhats in Nigeria continue to do in order to derep Yahoo! Yahoo! Is supposed to be the google of today with their innovations like the Classic Yahoomail, Yahoo Messanger, etc

Yahoomail isn't trusted by millions any longer...With that being said, Mail Encrypt is saying: "You can hack the mail but you cannot read it"

I am not saying ME is a substitute for other great mail clients, infact ME is dependent on their mail servers, SMTP and POP3. If Yahoo, Google and the rest could include this addon, such that users can encrypt their messages in some kind of way, I don't think it is a bad idea.

Thanks

It involves both ends having the key and decoders to help breakdown the message back into more generic formats. This may discourage light users, i see it as an utility app for heavy organisations that can afford the infrastructure involved. Is CHapi an extremely efficient language?
100% took all my school year and many more years to write that compiler, yes it is as strong as any other language out there, just like I've always defended, that when you have an existing sample, over time with your dedication and sleepless night, you can always do something better.

My knowledge of all C dialects, java, scala, python, etc helped to be able to develop my own language. CHapi still works with similar syntax and semantics of any PL out there.

Yes, Mail Encrypt is mainly for large organizations with vital data and information, could be used by individuals anyway and talking about discouraging light users, ME does just one important task and that is to Encrypt vital information, so if you are a light user that do not deal with important docs, then use yahoomail but for those who want secrets to remain secret, then use Mail Encrypt.

One other important thing to note is that YOU CAN DO SO MUCH BETTER IF YOU PUT YOUR MIND TO IT!
