It is expected that Moses will be taken out of the game by opponents .. what is Chuks doing? Absolutely nothing.. komekn: Exactly
Then why is Chukwueze not taking advantage and going forward. ❓ Chukwueze's mum was praying for his legs that means chukwueze will be playing cautiously at the tournament because he doesn't want to get injured. |

We may end up loosing this AFCON and not making much progress in football if our politicians begin to bring in sentiments as to who should play and sit on the bench If the other strikers get injured or get c:Ovid and Sadiq is the only healthy one the who will you want to lead the attack At least Sadiq has scored with his feet. Awoniyi hasn't scored a "normal" goal so as long as anyone scores and Nigeria wins then it doesn't matter who starts. |

We should force Ademola Lookman to play without clearance or what?
Let them declare their interest then the coach will select those he feels can make the team. Ask Iwobi. To komekn only foreign born and groomed are merit based while Nigeria born and groomed are sh*t and trash and are only playing for the national team due to bias and corruption of the NFF... That's why I'm always attacking komekn even when he is quoting comments from nairalanders who defend Nigeria born and groomed players he is always condescending, abusive and demeaning towards them. |

benji93: His point is rather quite simple. Nigeria doesn't do much in identifying foreign-born talents when they are still in diapers. You cannot wait until they start making waves and hope that by some dumb luck they will look your way. You will have to settle for the average ones. it is not wise to reach out to foreign born talents... it is better for them to be the ones to reach out same way Ashleigh Plumptre reached out, not all foreign borns identify with the country of their parents. Nigeria also has a huge number of Nigerian born players to choose from... the inferiority complex that made you say "You cannot wait until they start making waves and hope that by some dumb luck they will look your way. You will have to settle for the average ones."... why can't they be "making waves" and still express their desire to play for the SE why aren't Nigeria born players that are making waves like Samuel Adegbenro, Emmnuel Bonke, Simy and Akinkunmi Amoo called to the S.E |

In the EPL many teams have fielded teams with sometimes not a single English players.
Indeed most of the teams in the EPL are dominated by Foreign players.
Nwakali was at Arsenal with probably more Nigerian origin players than most club's barring Chelsea.

Jorginho Issa snail aka IGBIN but he is accepted in Europe You're not realizing what 12large1 is just realizing about Nwakali.. another thing most of you forget is that football is a job and most countries will want a quota of their indigenous players playing for the top teams and earning a big paycheck. Are you insinuating that CAF calls in Refs as the tournament progresses?
These Refs were already called up before the tournament started.. I didn't know the refs were already called up before the tournament started... the other continental football organisations will never ever allow an African officiate any of their competitions ( unless I'm ignorant of the any African referee officiating outside Africa )... so CAF should never ever allow non-Africans officiate in CAF because they are taking jobs away from Africans.. |

Tunisia are another strong opposition ranked above us.. If we beat them, it's more points for us The only thing that can make Tunisia strong is the referee, penalties for tunisia and red cards... North African teams are no where near West African teams level ( Nigeria Senegal and Ivory coast) and west African teams are young so west African dominance is going to last for at least the next 8 years |

Y is a Mexican referee officiating an afcon match?... because the globalists used the ref that blew whistle before 90mins to penetrate CAF and control the officiating of some matches. If you question them they'll use that referee that blew before 90 mins to say Africans can't officiate a competitive match. |

But you then get all deranged and incoherent with your irrational narrative.
We are talking about Nwakali not Osimhen , I don't know if you haven't noticed.
I was quite specific and clear with clear cut key performance indicators. But you are being in evasive and not contending with my deductions.
Well I will leave to keep singing your praise songs albeit it out of tune with REALITY You're the one that gets all deranged and incoherent with your irrational narrative. Now you're insulting thesupernerd saying he can't have an intelligent discussion when in reality it's you that can't make an intelligent discussion. As long as someone's shares a different opinion from you then that person's opinion is not intelligent to you.. Danielnino00: About Jibola Adebola... Truth be told, he did well.. His passing and set piece were on point... He could have had an assist from that beautiful ball to Sadiq...His main problem was his work rate off the ball... I think going forward, Eguavon shouldn't bring him on for games that are too physical...But when we need somebody to stabilize the midfield, he's definitely the man for the job..
As for Sadiq, the goal won't take off the fact that he was poor today..he's been poor all tournament... Seriously,he has disappointed those of us that clamoured for his call up..The knockout stage is serious business...he should remain on the bench .I'll prefer Olayinka in his place... Nwakali did well off the ball... Winning tackles is not his strong point but he was closing down players and doing his defensive duties. |

drDoom3: Haba... His poor game wasn't even due to his misses. It was due to his playing style and poor decision making. He only had two big misses, one was the one-on-one. It was clear the guy was nervous, let's cut him some slack. I've gone in-depth to analyze his game and how he's a confidence player. His gameplay is not sleek or flashy like Awo or Osimhen, but he had presence (which was something Olayinka lacked) and was very unselfish. If he can calm his nerves and sort himself out, he'll come out good. Awoniyi , olayinka and osimhen are not sleek or flashy they are direct players. Olayinka had more presence than Sadiq and he doesn't hold on to the ball for long like Sadiq and brings other attackers into the game unlike sadiq.. |

TheGoodJoe: Good result from the team but for the first time, we saw real weaknesses a good side can exploit. The Guinea Bissau team was well-coached for the game. They studied our strategy and exploited some weaknesses.
The half-space gaps were exploited and this happened due to the midfielders pushing forward. The coaching crew will need to sort that out fast. If the midfielders push, a full-back must sit. It should be systematic. We need to keep covering gaps as we exploit our opposition with our attacking play.
We are also vulnerable to long balls. I think the Guinea Bissau team reflected what Eguavoen wants to achieve with our team. I believe unlike us, the Guinea Bissau team has been working on it for some years while we are just a few weeks in.
So our weak point remains defensive gaps and I believe by going through the tape, the coaching crew can spot it and come up with a better routine for our attacking play. Guinea Bissau wasn't a well coached team if you really and honestly watched the match you'll have noticed it was the Guinea Bissau players that were coaching themselves and sometimes they were coaching their own coach and giving him instructions.. |

Joebie: Besides the wins, we have played well. I give it to Eguavoen. Super Eagles have not played against a strong team especially a team with a strong attack.. It's normal to play well against teams like sudan, equatorial guinea, an underperforming Egypt.. Eguavoen major advantage for now is the fact that he is playing attacking football if Super Eagles concedes first and changes to a defensive pattern then SE will be in trouble. Hopefully eguavoen doesn't change his attacking game. |

komekn: You are right about the through ball to Sadiq to and the other pass. But that's about it
A Midfielder job is very simple when you have the ball you attack when you don't have the ball you defend.
Under these key performance indicators he was very poor .
Work rate - very very poor. Backtracking - very poor Tackles - very poor Blocks - very poor Closing down space - oor Interception- poor Passing - below average Physicality - very poor
This is where he fails woefully.
If not for Ndidi and Ajayi covering for him he was essentially a liability in midfield. Stop saying rubbish... |

JohnBullMySon: Whenever you analyse football, try not to be biased. It's not everytime you keep saying that the player you love more is better without any evidence.
The gospel truth is that both Uzoho and Maduka have hardly been tested in this tournament to know who is better. Only Maduka has has had a save against Salah, but still not enough to make a judgement.
My assessment of Maduka is mostly based on club performance. Uzoho just made a good save. |
