TheLoneCitizen: This scenario you played out is actually white supremacy.
So if I understand you: you feel the white coaches will feel too good to follow grassroot football, but the blacks will be able to?
Right?
And to add there's nothing unique about German bosses leaving Nigerians to do hard labour, or about never seeing whites doing menial jobs in Nigeria. They are a minority. this is your problem... you're trying your best to degrade, downgrade and water-down thegoodjoe responses.. even if there was a huge population of whyte people in Nigeria, menial jobs and other services should exclusively reserved for Nigerians only... thegoodjoe said "The Germans come with truck, see how things are going, shout and zoom off.", he meant they do not stay with the Nigerian workers and improve and correct what the Nigerian workers are doing its the Nigerian engineers that stay and correct the Nigerian workers.. thegoodjoe did not write anything about the oyibos doing hard labour or menial jobs, you're the one that added it just to downgrade his comments as if nairaland awards gifts for downgrading and degrading other NL users comments or someone pays you to degrade comments of other NL users when it doesn't fit your narative... |

TheLoneCitizen: I never said the terms white or black are racist words. In fact, if a white man calls me "negro" not "nigger" I'm taking no offense, because that's what I am. A negro.
Context is the key here.
Joe said no matter the qualification he will never accept a white coach. That is purely racist.
Let's flip the narrative for example.
If Pep Guardiola tells the media that he will never sign a BLACK player for whatever reason other than health concerns, that's purely racist.
But if Guardiola says he will never sign AFRICANS there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Why? In the first instance he focused mainly on skin colour, which is pure racism.
But in the second instance he focused only on a background or culture, which is opinionated.
So in the second case, even light-skinned Africans like Salah or Ziyech will not be considered by Guardiola.
But dark-skinned non-Africans like Rashford, Lukaku, Sala, Kante do not apply. There's no racism in that.
In the case of Joe, he said grassroot football is very important so he doesn't want white coaches. That is racism, because he focuses just on skin colour to draw his selection.
What he should have said was foreigners as that focuses on background and culture, not skin colour.
This is were I had to correct him. If a whyte man calls a melanin person a "nigger" or "negro" that melanin person needs to be on guard because that whyte person is a potential whyte terrorist.. whyte people who use those terms are similar to muslims who refer to non-muslims as "inf:idels" and attack non-muslims without any form of provocation just seeing a non-muslim provokes them... so whyte people who use such words will start provoking when they see an African... Unless you're intentionally beating around bush, the point TheGoodJoe is making is that the whyte person will not be as passionate in improving the players the same way a Nigerian would improve them... |

TheLoneCitizen: Look man, first of all I appreciate your professionalism. You've gone this far without using any slur or breaking any gentleman code, I applaud that.
But you see, if you find problem with yourself you need to address it.
You stated authoritatively:
"With all his CV and profile, I will take Siasia over a white man without thinking. I will take others over him. A white man will never give us the kind of Work..."
Then I told you that the use of the term 'white man' is racist, because you're discriminating based on skin colour regardless of qualification.
But then you corrected me that you meant foreigners in general not white:
"I said we should cut the white men or... foreigners because it cost more, we hardly get thorough jobs from them, and with little to show for it."
But then I showed you Eddie Newton, a foreigner who is not white, and you immediately fell in love with me. This is a man who doesn't identify as African except for his Nigerian ancestry and skin colour. He is no different from Vierra or Rashford or Ashley Cole.
You did not contest his CV nor pay as you did the whites earlier on.
This shows your bias not towards foreigners but towards whites. That my good man, is racism.
Saying: no matter the qualification I will choose a black manager over a white manager, is different from saying I prefer an indigenous manager over a foreign manager.
This means if a white man who was born, raised and identifies as a Nigerian comes for the Super Eagles job, you will not endorse because of his skin colour.
That's racism, man. If you don't want foreigners it's understandable, I also do not, but saying you don't want whites is a capital crime. In English language, the term "white" is not a slur or abusive word and means something that's pure and clean while the term "black" is a slur and abusive word and means something that doesn't exist or something that's evil So using the term "white man" is not racist... Only African Americans called themselves black before the media started trying to use on every African globally... Most Africans will identify with their ethnicities so yes a lot of Africans will pick someone from their ethnicity first or at worse someone from their country or at worse worst a person of African descent from overseas before they pick a Whyte man.. |

JOemmy: But some of our black african tribes like the fuanis are also guilty of this same thing their own is even far worse cause they leave the people they conquer more devastated than they earlier met them. the bri:tish leave the people more devastated than they earlier met them. If not for the hardwork and peaceful nature of our ancestors in southern Nigeria, southern Nigerians will be in poverty because the bri:tish created Nigeria in a way where Northern and Southern Nigeria will engage in endless wars... I intentionally did not mention the fu:lanis... the N:igerian police force before it was created , was a group of rag-tag northern Nigerians ( history portrays them as H:ausas but in my opinion they were mostly f:ulanis ) formed by the bri:tish to carry out guerilla attacks on tribes that were fighting against the b:ritish by burning down villages, killing, raping e.t.c.. In summary, the f:ulanis were trained by the br:itish to attack tribes in southern Nigeria who were fighting against the british.... In full text, southern Nigerians were always prepared to attack the Bri:tish if the Brit:ish attacked them. And southern Nigerians of that era empowered each other. When the Brit:ish left Nigeria there was no University in Nigeria. before the br:itish left Nigeria, the Br:itish did not build one university, our number of primary and secondary schools were very low, br:itish did not build smooth roads all over Nigeria , no housing estates, no plans for clean water for communities, majority of the private companies where owned by the br:itish and they only gave Nigerians clerical work which is what the education system they gave us is meant to produce office assistants. All the developments you see in Nigeria today from Abuja to lagos to calabar to Akwa-ibom to oyo to Enugu e.t.c are all built by Nigerians, our parents, our grand parents e.t.c the br:itish left Nigeria to rot. Everything you had and have the privilege of enjoying in Nigeria was and is through the hardwork of parents, grand parents, and other Nigerians. |

Sheriman: Since they have free us as a black country, what has any African country achieve? Especially this Nigeria we are all living. What our Nigerian corrupt politicians is doing to us in this country is more of even worse than what colonial master did then. Nigeria is country that's using resources meant for 10 million - 30 million people mostly in what is called south south Nigeria to cater for over 150 million people all over Nigeria... how is a country meant to grow with such system have you also asked yourself why in 1914 when southern Nigeria was making loads of revenue the british did not build planned housing estates, schools, hospitals, sports centers e.t.c all over southern Nigeria but they decided to join it with northern Nigeria and use part of the revenue from southern Nigeria to govern and finance northern Nigeria... planned housing estates in southern Nigeria in 1914 will have eradicated mud houses in southern Nigeria and the catastrophe of unplanned housing you see in ibadan, ogun state and other places in Nigeria.. they could also have given southern Nigeria social benefits like unemployment benefits, free education, free healthcare e.t.c.. it was Awolowo that started free education.. if the b:ritish had started it there won't be so many Nigerians without formal education in 2021 ".. some parts of Nigeria will always be dilapidated because one side of Nigeria was amalgamated with the wealthy side of Nigeria in 1914 and over 55% of that wealthy side revenue goes to the one side who were always meant to be an average country... this is the major problem people of the wealthy side of Nigeria face and most of them can't see it and admit it... 55% Revenue that should go to the upliftment and infrastructural development of the wealthy side is given with the one side, the british saw how wealthy and powerful the wealthy side will become and they put things in place to prevent the wealthy side from becoming extremely successful... |

Sheriman: That's why they were called The Great Britain!! conqueror of many island and countries in the world. Towards the advent of Industrial Revolution the Europeans countries need massive resources and cheap labour to start developing their countries. So, they thought they couldn't be the only one living on this planet. They started embarking on a different exploration voyage around the world to discovered so many island and countries, meeting the natives. Most of these journey were successfully finance by their monarchical system of government something black people will failed to do because we don't like investing on something we would not see immediate result. During this period, explorer jobs was like HOT cake job just like working in an oil company this days. Many whites were willing to take the job to travel on a very long distance on a ship for years on the Atlantic ocean looking for colonies because of the huge amount pay they will got and the total respect they will earn. They had with them so many men of different fields and profession such as doctors, mathematician, engineers, map readers and interpreter, soldiers, nurses, captains, naval officers, cooks, e.t.c. Although, during these their voyage on Atlantic ocean, hundreds of these men died before reaching the chores of Africa due to unfavorable weather condition at sea not only that some contacted disease immediately they land on African soil for the first time but does not discouraged them from discovering many nation and achieving their aims and objective to colonized Africa, shipped so many African people and it's resources for approximately more than 400 years. This European white people are just too adventurous and fully well determined to enslaved more than half of the world. After discovering the importance and riches gaining from stealing African resources and enslaving African countries, this moved many rich whites especially from the royal families and some well to do people among them to began the slave trade business and this gave colonization of Africa more widely, recognition, popularity, support to finance more exploration of many undiscovered countries just to shipped in millions of Africa to Europe and America. The white can't do all these alone so they need some natives to help them with language interpretations for easy business transactions, deals, to sign treaties and agreement with traditional African Kings. They had taken and selected some blacks men for that job after their first successfully voyage on African soil. This trans Atlantic Slave trade exit between 15th century to 19th century. The majority of those who were enslaved and transported in the transatlantic slave trade were people from Central and west Africa that had been sold by other West Africans to Western European slave traders while others had been captured directly by the slave traders in coastal raids. Europeans gathered and imprisoned the enslaved at forts on the African coast and then brought them to the America and Europe. What also made the European slave traders to be successful in their business was that Africans Kings of the majority tribes were waging war against the minority tribes over supremacy. victims of war were sold to slavery, some corrupt and greedy African wealthy people formed alliance with the European slave traders in exchange of goodies to raid other Africans minority tribes just to sold them as slaves. Although, we still had few African Kings who fought and fought to fight the European slave traders from enslaving them but unfortunately, they were defeated due to European sophisticated military weapons even as at that time. So definitely, all of them including the King himself and his entire family be will sold to slavery. Such as we have in Nigeria King Jaja of Opobo and some Kings in Western/Eastern Africa countries. Any African King who tried to resist against the European slave traders were forcefully removed from the throne by forming a rebellion with others African tribes who had seen favour of the whites I hope I have done little justice to your curiosity. Its eu:ropean terrorism and savagery you're trying your best to sugarcoat by writing all this nonsense and ignorant jargons... If you're a Nigerian then you're the perfect slave with extreme slave mentality... |

Just because they are m:uslims does not mean they are terrorists and savages.... you said "I wonder how a nation of less than 70m people where able to conquer and colonize half of this world.".. the answer is simple using yourself and your family as example, Do you own w:eapons? Oasis001: I swear.... I hate what football is becoming. I am a United Fan and really dislike Bruno. Stats-wise he's doing fine for United, but guess what he loses possession anyhow.
He would make countless risky passes, and at least 1 or 2 gonna end as Assist. He barely dribbles despite playing as No. 10 for United. He barely supports the Pivot for transition from defense to attack.
He's either competing with No. 9 for Goal or trying as much as possible passes to get at least an Assist. That's not what I subscribed for in football.
When we were young, everyone wanna be called Jay Jay Okocha, only few wanna be called Rashidi Yekini. In fact number of football lovers that would prefer being called Siasia exceed those that wanna be known as Rashidi.
As I pointed out earlier, football is moving away from Hawthorn Effect to Frederick Winslow Taylor's Theory. Players are now robotic - they follow Instructions strictly. Positioning, Movement, Passing, even shooting Range.
Entertainment part of football is fading away. Guess what? Anytime I feel like getting entertained football-wise, I do make use of YouTube to see Clips of De Lima, Gaucho and Okocha.
E dey sweet my belle.... Also ensure you watch clips of Ben Arfa who is probably the best dribbler of the Messi, Cr7 and Neymar era just that he mostly played for smaller teams and his finishing wasn't at Messi, Cr7 and Neymar level. |

Oasis001:

Andrew...... Ronaldinho was an Entertainer, also a great footballer. He saw football an Art and so well he entertained the World.
This is Era of Stats, you know I don't like Bruno despite his rich Stats for United so far. If we are being honest, Gaucho gonna find it difficult to play for any top team presently.
He must showboat, you can't take that away from him. He's artistic with ball at his feet, you think Tuchel or Klopp gonna appreciate that?!
Every top Manager wanna play swift football from Defence to Attack. They want their players mastering off ball movements and decisive passes..... can Gaucho function in that kinda setup?!
Football is no more Art but Science.... following Frederick Winslow Taylor's Theory. Hawthorn Effect is what make Players like Gaucho succeed. Ronaldinho doesn't showboat often he dribbles.. showboating means showing off and in football it means doing feints and staying in the same spot. You don't know the difference between dribbling and showboating. |
