Women were sold as slaves. This is a fact and evidence are plenty.

Even some of the Dahomey women warriors were taken as slaves also.
you're wrong and I'm sure If you have any evidence to use prove your point it will be evidence gotten from eu:ropeans or their African collaborators..

Women are more than men... it will be impossible to capture one Afric:an woman in that era because all or at least 96% of them had military training...

You could have just searched the name (seriki of Badagry) on Google instead of disgracing your ancestors like this
I don't need google, you're the one disgracing your ancestors because you rely on google to tell you history...

the Yoruba nation and the other ethnic nations that were surrounding it were policed and controlled by women... the seriki of badagry doesn't stand a chance against them...

like musicwriter already said on this thread "that place wasn't a slave market"...

google and "the history" you read was written by e:uropeans and their African collaborators to support the eu:opean version of African history...

If eu:ropeans brought gu:ns and gu:npowder to Africa then every African language will not have a word for gun...

but like I said, It is you that is disgracing your ancestors because you lack the intellectual capacity and intelligence to use your brain to decode things... you rely on "goo:gle"...

They should make the statue of Seriki of Badagry exclusive.
A very famous slave trader that sold 20 young ladies for one umbrella, 40 men for a gun and 10 boys for gunpowder.

He sold 10 ladies for a snuff box amongst other record breaking sales.

Seriki of Badagry, his descendant is into politics. I won't mention his name.
Stop spreading false information...

During that era, 96% of the women were warriors and soldiers it was impossible to capture women or a single woman because they moved in groups.

Messi will find it difficult today gumming the ball and skinning players. Today's game has seen most top teams adopt to the modern game. So it is not easy as it was when Messi was in his prime.

Same with Denilson.
TheGoodJoe:

A well coordinated press will nullify any top player. It is far harder today to just skip past players. That is why people feel today skills is dying. The truth is that defending is far better now.
benardo silva, emmanuel dennis, chukwueze , ejuke, reece james, saint maxima, ben arfa, mbappe, vinicious junior, salah , mane, nicolas pepe, foden, jadon sancho e.t.c. all skip past players easily and are not even on Messi or denilson's level...

Oshimen needs to watch players like Benzema, Lewandowski and Kane to learn shooting techniques. For me, Aribo is our most technical player. Shooting, ball control, touches, body movements etc. However, I think he needs to improve on his passing!
Osimhen does not need to watch Benzema, Lewandowski and Kane to learn shooting techniques..

Osimhen is playing for Napoli, while 2 of the players you mentioned are playing for 2 of the best teams in the world with very good midfielders and chance creators, If Kane was playing for Man City he would score more goals than he does at Tottenham...

same goes for Osimhen, If Osimhen was playing for Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Man City he would score more goals than he does at Napoli.... but it also depends on how the coach plays him..

Its the same reason Oshoala scores more for Barcelona than Super Falcons even though she misses opportunities when playing for Nigeria..

Lukaku is also playing for a world class team but his not scoring regularly... does that mean he should also watch Benzema, Lewandowski and Kane to learn shooting techniqueshuh huh

Osimhen has scored more goals than Kane this season so its Kane that should learn from Osimhen.....

I don't need YouTube to know about Denilson. I recently pointed out that I believe the Brazilian team of the early 2000 were the best and most gifted. I listed some of my favorite players in that team which include

Kaka, Adriano, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Rivaldo, Robinho, Ze Roberto and Denilson.

Denilson played for Real Betis with Finidi George and I got to watch him well.

However, Finidi George openly criticised the tactical acumen of Denilson and pointed how poor his timing was.

What I am saying that on today's game, Denilson will need a lot of work despite his flair and would get nullified with tactical defending.
robinho wasn't in the team of early 2000 at least not until 2003...

In today's game Denilson will never get nullified, Denilson's and most players with his type of playing pattern will destroy today's team same way Messi destroyed teams in his prime...

Players like Denilson drag opposition players out of position and create space for the striker or any player in the box or outside the box to take tap-ins or shoot... In the past midfielders covered for defenders that were dragged out of position unlike todays teams... there's so much space in defensive side of football in 2021 than in the 1990s and early 2000s.

I believe the birds today fly better than the past but the defending is too good for you to notice it. How many wingers of the past are better than Hazard in taking on players. Watch the swarm of players around Hazard then. Today, it is even fiercer.

I disagree with players not being good at dribbling. There are loads today. Watch Joao Felix, watch Veratti. Watch Salah. These guys are crazy. However, it is wrong to dribble in tight spaces. You are losing the ball. Counter attacks are insane today. You just don't take thiat risk. It is suicidal.

Bring Ronaldinho today and he can not try it. Have you seen tricks from Vinicius? They are brilliant but you must limit it and abide by tactics to succeed.

maybe building of refinery is like building market that you will just wake up and build, if is that easy why is it that FG that is benefiting from it didn't build any since more 50 years? For your information, more 30 companies has been licensed to build but till today, non of them has managed to build one. Ask Dangote that has been build one how much it has cost him so far. Please understand government, it's not a business sector.
Dangote is building a 600,000 bpd refinery at a cost of at least $7billion and it takes at most 4 years to complete such a refinery as long as funds are available.

In my comment, I said 500bpd or 50,000bpd refinery which would vary in cost from a 600,000bpd refinery.

In fact the comment below from Google proves it's cheaper:

"The capital outlay for any 100,000-barrel per day (bpd) refinery is about $1.5 billion or more, while a 24,000 bpd modular refinery is roughly $250 million".

This means that a 500bpd refinery will cost at least $6million to build while a 50,000bpd refinery will cost at least $600million to build..

Refineries are not expensive to build.

Cost of building a bungalow is cheaper than building a one story building or an estate.

Oga we are talking of petroleum produce not palm oil. The price of Petroleum is determined by international markets, it has nothing to do with local market. This is an international business not local business. So if Rivers state build a refinery today, bunkery will stop? You are saying as if it was only Rivers state that patronised them, you don't know the business, they refined and sell even to neighboring countries.
You're talking of Rivers State alone. Once Rivers or any state in Nigeria builds a refinery states like Bayelsa Akwa Ibom, Delta Edo ondo will be motivated to build their own and that will increase the amount legal refineries in that region which will indirectly push out illegal refineries out of business because the more the amount of legal businesses selling that product the lower the price

Odidigboigbo:
So to your mind, if state government build their own refinery, illegal bunkery will stop? Hmm, tell me something. This shows that you don't know the meaning of the business.
It's simple logic.

Illegal businesses need customers so that their business will continue to operate.

If someone or state or federal government builds a legal version of that illegal business and sells at a cheaper price than the illegal business then that illegal business will lose customers which will lead to the end of that illegal business.

Odidigboigbo:
You are not getting the facts, a state government can do little or nothing in that sector, it's wholly under the purview of the federal government. Does the state government controls the police, civil defence or navy that secure the sector? Do any of these agencies report to state government? Or you want the state government to set up security outfit that will police against illegal bunkery, while the money the sector makes goes to the FG? under whose expenses? You want the state to use his resources to fight against illegal bunkery while those that feed from it is in Abuja right? Just explain to me how you want the state to fight against it without spending it's resources and without the federal government benefiting from it?
The state government can build 500bpd refinery or 50000bpd refinery and put those people out of business.

the money the sector makes goes to the FG because the state government doesn't own or sponsor any refinery or oil and gas and other petroleum companies.

Blacks are the most susceptible race to Sickle Cell Anemia with occurrence as high as 4% in some population.

People with sickle cell trait can be found most heavily in areas of the world that have malaria. This is because sickle cell trait can protect a person from becoming infected with malaria.

Largely because sickle cell disease is a Blackman challenge.

Because the white man does not carry the sickle gene that evolved solely in the black man in order to help him survive malaria for thousands of years in Africa.

Sickle cell is solely a black man's disease.

Alusiizizi:
"Survival of the fittest" you say. The sickle cell gene evolved in regions with high incidence of malaria. It evolved to offer their carrier protection from the otherwise deadly pathogen. Last I checked, malaria is still a problem in most parts of Africa.

grandstar:
SS mostly affects Blacks. If a white person suffers from it, they most likely have Black ancestory. So, it need not be an issue for dating or marrying.

However, it is a silent problem amongst African Americans. It may not be as pronounced as it is here but many over there suffer from it.

Forget about that marriage stuff. We are increasingly living in a world tilted towards babies born to baby-mamas and papas rather through a marriage

In such a clime, genotype be damned. Fulfilling lust comes first with its unwanted pregnancies and children.

The issue is why is Rohr playing Ekong when Akpoguma is playing well in Germany?
the striker dived... that was poor officiating from the refereeing officials..

the striker's studs were on Ekong's leg, it should have been a yellow card for diving for the striker or a red card for the striker stomping or stepping on Ekong's leg...

what's even worse is that the commentators were already blaming Ekong.. which shows that what the commentators say may be influencing those in the VAR department...

Under normal circumstances, yes, it is a flimsy excuse.

However, remember that if he goes to this tournament, his club (which pays his salary) will lose his services. During that time, the club could purchase a player to replace him and he could lose his place in the squad entirely. His club could also lose all their games and be set for relegation due to his absence. At the end, it would be to what purpose? To sit on the bench for a coach that doesn't rate him.

Las las, it's all CAFs fault. They should not be holding AFCON at this kind of time. For me, any player that is not assured of theirs and their clubs safety shouldn't honor AFCON invitation because it will affect their long term stability and development as a player.
if CAF does not hold AFCON at that time then no West African country should be allowed to hold AFCON...

I don't know what the June - July weather is like for North African countries, Southern African countries, East African countries and I think Central-African countries may have same weather as their West African counterparts...

besides, Watford needs better defenders for them to avoid relegation..

For the South to be powerful, they must put aside all this false history the North has bn using to run them down, and forge a common front to defeat any northern forces.. Then, the rest will b history
the two major ethnic nations in the south can only have a common front by investing in their regions.. during regionalism , the common front was regionalism but the Igbos abolished it due to the fact that the western region was doing much better than their own region...

the north has not been using any "false history" to run the south down, was it the north that told K:aduna Nzeogwu to do the below ( gotten from wi:ki ):

"According to a Nigerian Police Special Branch Report, Nzeogwu executed at least 4 army and police security personnel including one of the men on his team (Sergeant Daramola Oyegoke). Nzeogwu also participated in the execution of Col. Raph Shodeinde, his superior officer at the Nigerian Military Training College and is reported to have shot indiscriminately at fleeing women and children.."..

the statement above shows pure hatred for Yorubas and a lot of "Easterners modern babies" like you called them all have this similar behavior towards Yorubas..

the South cannot be powerful because one of the two regions in the south will be more powerful than the other and right now in 2021 that's the eastern region ( SS & SE ) due to its natural and human resources..
