PDPGuy: Hmmm
I won’t doubt that there is match-fixing at major tournaments because let’s think about this:
I’m a female footballer who, on average, earns $14k/year or a median of $20k/yr. Then someone offers me $80k (or more) to throw a match; to be honest, I would be tempted to take up that offer you're correct... the only thing giving me hope is the players seem to be playing well and Waldrum seems to have the passion to want to do well in the world cup.... Maybe he is using the Super Falcons as advertisement and stepping stone.. |

semid4lyfe: Succinct.
Our ball possession and attacking transition isn't the best but we're strong & physical, defensively disciplined, hardworking, full of running and possess gas tank for days.
England has never met an ultra-defensive team like us before and will leave lots of holes for us to exploit. please Super Falcons are not "strong" and "physical"... those are terms whyte people use to tag Africans as rough and aggressive especially commentators... so when you a supposed African and Nigerian uses such terms you're admitting that Super Falcons are rough and aggressive which is one of the reasons Super Falcons will get a red card and also cause a penalty.. never ever use such terms again... you use skillful and intelligent which are words I have never ever heard commentators use to describe African players. |

lovewins: We'll all be alive and well by God's grace.
Waiting for the falcons to be humiliated the way many have since suggested. You'll all noticed I have consistently said we may lose, but to make it seem we'll be run over? Monday Is almost here LordTheus: The disrespect 💀😭😭.
This people no believe us at all. As far as they are concerned, this match is a foregone conclusion. They're probably discussing who England will face in the Quarter Finals and the likelihood of them lifting the trophy this year.
Can you imagine the meltdown in the Women Footballing universe if Nigeria won though? 😂 If Nigeria wins that match then I will know F:I:F:A is not corrupt.. England vs Senegal in the mens world cup saw Senegal keeping a high defensive line with their slow defenders means Senegal intentionally lost that match. If Super Falcons keep a high defensive line and allow lots of spaces then I will know Super Falcons have sold the match.. Even the Final Argentina vs France, France was keeping a high defensive line and it was very very obvious "the oga at the top" wanted Argentina to win then during half time break something must have been said to France that they were making it too obvious then France wanted to kill Argentina in the 2nd half and almost won the match if not for that one on one miss.. now imagine if France had played with the same energy in the 1st half... that's not ignoring the fact that Argentina got a penalty in every match. England will get one or more penalties against the Super Falcons.. and Super Falcons will also have a player sent off with red card.. |

Angelfrost: The actual and unspeakable shame is that a top oil-producing nation doesn't refine its own fuel...! That's a DISGRACE!
Yet the same nation has had Billions of Dollars worth of crude oil and resources diverted and misappropriated! We are talking money that can build a minimum of 2 world-class refineries... This nation should be making serious revenue from exporting fuel to the entire African continent and beyond. The fuel is not for Nigeria.. the fact you don't know that there are 2 or more nations within Nigeria is another. the known 2 distinctions are northern Nigerian and southern Nigeria. Building a refinery was supposed to be the main job of Eastern Nigeria but they messed up and allowed b:ritain convinced them into starting a coup then starting a war while b:ritain made its own Petroleum company stronger by pressing the mumu buttons of eastern leaders by telling them their fellow Nigerians were their major obstacles and enemies. If Eastern Nigeria didn't convince people in Edo and Delta to create "midwest region" maybe the Western Region would have built a refinery in either Delta or Edo. Nigeria is not a nation. A nation means a group of people with the same culture, same language, same ethnicity... |

lovewins: Not sure Gift will start, but really hope Kanu doesn't. We need someone who can play with Alozie on the right and Gift did better, even though I felt she also had her own issue. There was one run Alozie made and she beat her man, and Kanu just stayed back looking. Not sure if anyone saw that but I was so furious. If Randy can drill gift to play improve significantly defensively and also to not hold in to the ball to much, I won't mind him starting her. Curtisaxel10: Gift jelled better with Alozie. I wouldn't mind her starting over Kanu. The other alternative is Ordega who at this point is worse than Kanu and Gift. PDPGuy: Yeah, I agree Gift doesn’t work as much defensively as Kanu. Aside from her goal and attempt vs Ireland that produced the save of the tournament, Kanu has been underwhelming at this WC.
If Oparanozie is fully fit, I wouldn’t mind if she starts on Monday, most especially if Waldrum goes with a 3-5-2. With that formation, Oparanozie would, among other things, be tasked with holding up the ball to bring in Ajibade/Alozie Play a front 3 of Ajibade, Kanu , Monday.. Let Kanu play as the main striker, let Asisat come on as a super sub... |

charlesemeka85: yes but added to compete Abi u no sabi the meaning of compete?
Hoijlund is already a united player which makes him first
Orban coming in as second striker doesn’t imply he will play second fiddle to the Dane but to compete with him for a starter’s shirt
Later una go Dey form say na una sabi English pass you don't understand English... Anyways its not your first language. Samueltemi337 is correct.. You said "second striker" and not he can be "one of the strikers". the fact that you said "second" automatically makes and means Gift Orban will be second fiddle to the dane... don't group people using first, second e.t.c. next time... use words like "another striker" , "he will be an ideal striker" there's no need to add "second" because that means you're putting him below Rasmus Hoijlund. you made the mistake not Samueltemi337.. |

potland: I fear for this team oh. Kanu, ucheibe onumonu, plumptre should never near first team again. They are bunch of liabilities you're not serious.. Kanu almost scored.. All Kanu needs is a good pass or good cross or good midfield and she will score.. If the midfielders and attackers can play passes among themselves better..... then our attackers will score. only problem is she does not seem to work well with Plumptre. ucheibe is a defensive rock and titan and she has defensive work rate that only Ayinde and Deborah Abiodun can match. Onumonu can press and her work rate off the ball is amazing. her only problem is lack of pace. there was an opportunity she had either in injury time or close to 90mins if she had pace she would have been 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper. Plumptre is tall and good defensively. her problem is pace and the winger on her wing and midfielders leaving her isolated. |

We need to start playing long range shorts.
Long range shots will be worse. That means giving the ball away unless it deflects for corner kicks. |

PDPGuy: Unbelievable fun fact:
For the first time ever, the Super Falcons have the chance to end the group stage of a FIFA World Cup with a positive goal difference😱 Firstly, they have to win or draw against Ireland... Super Falcons needs to work on controlling possession and not giving out corner kicks. If the opposition gets corner kick then the tallest super Falcon player should mark the tallest opposition player.. I don't know where Onome Ebi was when Kennedy was heading the ball.'' Its Nnadozie that has been saving the Super Falcons from conceding too many goals... Now that there's a good GoalKeeper, SF needs to learn possession football and clearing the ball immediately instead of passing it among the defenders, let the midfielders and the strikers learn to pass among themselves so that the ball can be in opposition side on the pitch and not Super Falcons side of the pitch. Super Falcons must not under-estimate Ireland. |

daveP: Easy on the Ajibade and Randy praises for now abeg. Yeah she did well in this game. I expect more henceforth. It's not going to go away that easily until i see consistency. She was missed in 1st game anyway. But i guess that helped her and Ayinde mentally to give their best. It worked. Give praises to people who deserve to be praised especially when the going is good.. You can't be easy on praises when people are performing well that's a negative behavior. They condemned and criticized Ajibade. SF won and should be praised for their performance after playing against Australian fans, Whyte supremacist referees e.t.c Super Falcons just need to train and master possession football and they will be unstoppable. The midfield players and attackers don't make themselves available for passing when SF is trying to pass from defense and that's what led to Australian's 1st goal. |

Her, Ajibade, Payne all have pace.
Oshoala is the crowning glory. Don't think anyone else would've got to that ball. You're correct. But they shouldn't take off their shirts when they score due to Yellow cards... the referee and VAR did not review the kick on Ohale for a possible red card even a yellow card wasn't given.. if it was an African player that made that kick it would have reviewed and red card will be given. |

BankyGee: I never expected her to be bad! Man I know she's good that's why I had to make emphasis on the range of time I used in comparing her to Linda Caicedo.
Stop trying too hard, dey calm down boss ✌🏾 When you criticize someone then you already assume and expect the person to perform poorly so that means you already expected her to be bad.... I can't be calm... After all the criticisms and negativity.. without her, Super Falcons won't have won this match... |

Pace without technicality is but of little importance. Yes everything was pace... You must criticise shaaa.. If they win you'll criticise. If they lose you'll criticise.. change your mentality... its too negative.. |

Jojodjo: Is it the same Onumonu that brought some spark to our attack ? Demehin that was shaky suddenly becomes prime Maldini to have prevented three goals indirectly .
You make emphasis on speed; what's pace without technicality?
No disrespect but I take it that you spew things that aren't valid or you probably have a different view from what's glaring as the truth.
If it's intentional, fine but if it's not you'd need to rethink your points.
Lastly, in recent time, it's an error to compare Ajibade to Caicedo..... I hope you can now see why PACE is very important PACE won us this match. Onumonu does not have the PACE that Oshoala has to score the 3rd goal.. PACE PACE PACE.. All our attackers must have PACE from now on... let Onumonu play midfield |
