forgiveness: Why do you think the bolded deserves to be getting call up?
You even mentioned Yira Sor but Ignored Peter Olayinka who is doing well in Czech league and has been consistent for the last 5 seasons if not more. He is even their captain in some games recently.
What has Onyekuru done this season that he deserves to be getting a call up ahead of Iwobi?
There’s no Awoniyi on your list despite scoring more goals in all competitions than all our strikers in top 5 leagues in Europe but Terrem Moffi with just 4 goals is on the list.
Can you please explain?
What makes you think you are different from Eguavoen? It's a general list that should be broken down to 23 players or the amount of players the tournament permits. I will include Awoniyi and Olayinka. I forgot about them. The list was beginning to have too many forwards so I just decided to stop adding players.. As for Awoniyi, olayinka, Sadiq, onyekuru, Ihenacho, Nwakwame , onuachu will never make my team. I believe in 2022 forwards are at least supposed to have speed. My likely list below: Forwards Osimhen Yira sor Dennis Dessers Lookman Amoo Ejuke Simon Chukwueze. ( On standby and I didn't like his AFCON performance ) Terrem moffi. ( On stand by ) Olayinka ( on standby and I liked the through pass he gave Sadiq against Tunisia S.E needs wingers that can pass like that and he doesn't try to dribble or hold the ball for long ). Sadiq ( on Standby because his quite fast and can press) Midfielders Iwobi Aribo Ndidi Onyeka Bonke Nwakwali ( on standby and I liked his through balls and corner kicks during the AFCON ) Defenders Semi ajayi Omeruo Ola Aina Bassey Akpoguma Ebuehi Sanusi Keepers Uzoho Okoye Any good keeper they can find. |

We Africans are behind tactically and we need to do more in tactical education.
I once read in Spain, before a player moves from most academies to senior football, they have over 700 games, tactically analysed under their belt.
In academies in Spain, UEFA pro licensed coaches coach them. . How many games did gavi play before making Spain's national team Europeans are very tribal. So it may be about supporting Span:ish and Cata:lan players . Koeman brought numerous to Barca. Wolves former coach brought many Portuguese players to wolves. Wenger brought many French players to arsenal. Conte brings Italian players to his teams. |

safarigirl: BTW, if Eguaveon listened more to the populace, Dennis, Shehu, Okoye, Ighalo and even our dear Osimhen for no make list
Onazi is on the stand by list, I am sure nobody in the country envisioned his appearance
It is insulting to even suggest that the coach will listen to armchair analysts when making decisions that could make or mar his team. How many people he wan listen to? You want his brain to burst? List of Nigeria's striker must include Osimhen. Players like Ighalo, Musa ,onazi and Shehu should not be anywhere near the S.E. Nigeria currently has a golden generation and Eguavoen is messing it up by trying to "make everyone happy". Depending on The amount of players that the tournament allows.. this are the S.E players that should be getting a call up. Forwards Osimhen Yira sor Dennis Dessers Lookman Terrem moffi Amoo Ejuke Simon Chukwueze Sadiq Ihenacho Onuachu Nwakwame Onyekuru Olayinka Awoniyi Samuel Adegbenro Midfield Iwobi Ndidi Onyeka Bonke Aribo Yusuf Tijani Onyedika Etebo Defenders Semi ajayi Ola Aina Bassey Akpoguma Ebuehi Sanusi Omeruo Balogun Ekong Keepers Uzoho Okoye Any good keeper they can find. |

Blueelf: I agree with you on this
A major contributor to Mendy's form is Chelsea's impressive defence Chelsea's defense gets beaten and Mendy saves shots to protect Chelsea's lead. De gea makes multiple saves but if your defense keeps getting beaten the way Man U defense is constantly beaten then your opponents will score at least 1. If you watched the Carabao League cup final between Chelsea and Liverpool then you'll know how good Mendy is.. |

Thomas partey enjoys shooting the ball ,because everybody go Dey look am e go Dey score ,how many shot e don take score for epl this season ? chidi1 is right.. But you guys are narrowing it to only partey. If any Ghanaian player takes a long shot Okoye may not catch or save the shot. The only good thing is Okoye is match fit.. The S.E players must mark and overcrowd any Ghanaian player with the ball in the S.E side of the field with at least 2 players. Because if they ball watch like they did against Tunisia then S.E will be in trouble and giving Okoye to much work to do. |

komekn: Lukaku started playing for Anderlecht at 16 and was a top Goal scorers since that time to date the only blip on his career is his current time with Chelsea.
KC is a flop since he has been at Leicester he has had one good season. In his entire career he has never been a top goal scorer in his league and club.
From 100 games for Belgium Lukaku has scored near 70 goals that is simply PHENOMENAL.
We ABSOLUTELY DO NOT HAVE ANYBODY near to the level of Lukaku.
You are taking balderdash, codswallop and nonsensical dross. Ahmed Musa scored 2 goals against Iceland if S.E was in any European qualifications group our strikers will be stats padding. |

komekn: Lukaku case is completely and entirely different.
Lukaku is a world class striker and has been exceptionally consistent for the past decade at the top of his game.
Last season second highest Goal scorer in Seria A .
Had been outstanding for Belgium consistently since his first cap.
He goes to Chelsea and it's apparent there is something going very wrong. The German players don't pass the ball to him Havertz the worst culprit. And Tuchel and him are not getting on at all. andrewbaba44: Have you seen what lukaku has done for Belgium ?
Don’t just bring lukaku here abeg and compare it to dessers situation that hasn’t done anything for the national team ,lukaku is one of the best in the world no matter what he is going through at the moment
We have osimhen ighalo Dennis ,awoniyi didn’t even make the list as he was just at standby so leave him alone abeg ,onuachu also on standby and you expected dessers to make there
Make una let us hear word for dessers abeg ,someone that cannot bench onuachu at genk for about 2 seasons
Lukaku that’s Belgium highest goal scorer in history that you are using to make example
Oga stop this your beer parlour talk abeg Currently Lukaku's case is not different... Ihenacho is also a good finisher that doesn't start for his club often so we haven't been able to see his own consistency. We currently have many Lukaku's ( in terms of strikers ) in the S.E so we need those that consistently perform for the S.E not for their clubs only. You can't be a Lion at your club then when it's time to play for the S.E you turn to a Cat. |

drDoom3: Many of us here like Dessers but please don't make us dislike him.
What can Dessers do that the invited guys can't? Hold up play? Dribbling? Finishing? Passing? He is a good player, no doubt. However, I don't think he should be in the team ahead of Onuachu for example, and Onuachu wasn't even in the main list. It is tough but what can we do?
If we had to carry 3 strikers to the World cup, I would go with Osi, Onuachu and Sadiq. Nacho too but as an SS. I love Awoniyi but his lack of lethality is my problem with him. We know Osimhen will start all games, so we primarily need strikers who are lethal enough to score goals from scraps off the bench and I don't think Awo is that kind of striker. Awo is better as a pure Osimhen replacement because of his work rate like at AFCON but not as a backup. Hate is a strong word.. You must be an NFF staff or related to one of the Nigerian players to make such comments. S.E doesn't play to the strengths of onuachu Awoniyi and Ihenacho so they are minus one when it comes to the S.E. |

Dessers is not better than the players that made the afcon squad ,his club form was not better than them so why making noise ? Look at Lukaku's Chelsea form but he will still make the Belgian squad. If Lukaku's was Nigerian you guys will say he shouldn't be called up due to his form . Our top strikers Awoniyi and Sadiq couldn't score goals at the AFCON.. is it against Ghana they will now score.
