That is what you are arguing. Maybe you do not know. Know it now.

I said Tammy's background played a role in his success. You are arguing against it.

The background has to do with the investment these top clubs make in the growth of kids.

You are saying it does not count. That means you are saying it is a stupid process.
I never said it doesn't count.. I never used the word in count in all replies to you

Its Osimhen I was talking about not Tammy..

You're talking as if anyone who attends Chelsea academy in England is 100% sure of been a successful footballer.

My point is Abraham attending Chelsea academy didn't make him a better player than Osimhen since they are both playing top tier football...

just like Osimhen, Tammy's attitude and goal-scoring played a role in his success not background...

where is Jordan Ibe and many others today huh huh huh

LOL. Nigeria can compare with Brazil in youth development. Chineke Me. Did you say that? Even Richard Owobokiri said there is no comparison when he visited Nigeria during Nigeria 99. He explained the massive investments government makes to support local academies.

Please understand the point before you argue.

The point is head start. These Europeans have high-quality head start. The get better training early and are in comfort zones. Most of them are on scholarships early. They do not worry about a lot.

Head start.

Arguing this means you are saying it is stupid setting up academies the way they do in europe.
I'm not arguing, I'm debunking your mis-information and mis-education of other people reading comments on this thread...

Now you've resorted to putting words in mouth..

I never said it is stupid setting up academies the way they do in europe. they set-up academies and leagues in different sports to engage the children, teenagers, youths e.t.c. to provide jobs and scholarships for them at a very young age which in turn reduces the number of unemployed youths and people in the country and this ensures that they ( the indigenes ) don't end up as gangsters, thugs and unproductive youths..

That is how you talk. You say things you have no idea. Can you compare the investment Iceland made in football to Nigeria? Iceland built indoor pitches all over the country. Improved training etc.

By the way, the point is not to win match. Nigeria beat Brazil in Atlanta. Does it mean we can compare with them in grassroot development? Nigeria beat Spain in France 98. Does it mean we can compete with them in development?

You are just arguing against fact and the truth.
Iceland built indoor training facilities due to their cold weather...

Yes, it means we can compare with Brazil in grassroot development because if Nigeria didn't have its own grassroot development then Nigeria won't have the players that can beat Brazil..

Yes, it also means we can compete with spain in development because if Nigeria didn't have its own development then Nigeria won't have the players that can beat Spain..

There is no academy in Nigeria that can compete with a third tier academy in Spain or England. These kids are being coached with super facilities and UEFA pro license coaches. You should know that.

The training here is a joke compared to what occurs there. This is basic knowledge you are trying to argue.
North Macedonia does not have super training facilities that Italy has but they beat Italy..

Iceland does not have super training facilities that England has but they beat England in Euros 2016 and reached the quater final...

According to You "There is no academy in Nigeria that can compete with a third tier academy in Spain or England."

but there are Nigerians that train in those academies that can't compete with "third tier academies in Spain or England" who are competing with their top-rated players.

football is played on grass, any wide space that consists of well lawn grass and welded poles to serve as goal post is more than enough to serve as training ground for any one interested in been a footballer...

Facilities does not make the footballer, regular training and exhibition or league matches is what makes the footballer and Osimhen and other Nigerians have all this things already in Nigeria...

Now you're commenting as if Osimhen trained on mud, sand and cement.. grin grin grin grin

TheGoodJoe:

Have you forgotten education overnight? Have you forgotten about high-quality training? Have forgotten about moving to a new environment?

Tammy has been getting quality education since he was 7 years at a Club like Chelsea with some of the best facilities money can buy. Some of the best coaches. He had to concentrate and train on his game all through, why Osimhen had to hawk water for years to help the family put food on the table.

My brother, it is not the same.

As I say, give both his props but Tammy's background played a big role. If you ask Tammy, he will tell you the same.

It doesn't change the fact that Osimhen went to E:urope as a teenager and didn't have a good start..

You're commenting as if Osimhen never registered in any football academy in Nigeria and like he just went for u17 trials from selling pure water on the streets and was selected and then went to Europe directly from been a pure water seller and had zero football training in Nigeria..

It's Osimhen they are talking about and not every player in Africa

No one is downplaying the importance of Opportunity and Chance for a player in West Africa.

what Kog45 said is true... "Osimehn had it rough with Wolfsburg in the beginning "...

In Osimhen's case, he went to Europe at a young age and didn't score any league goal in his first season... unlike Tammy who was born in Europe and his first full season scored 23 league goals for Bristol City...

the point is Osimhen is one of the many African players who went to Europe as a teenager, so TheGoodJoe point of opportunities in the case of Osimhen, Sadiq , Taiwo Awoniyi e.t.c. is null and void...

England has a quota for English players. Every european league has a quota for it's indigenes.

They can never ignore English Nationals.. the first thing they did when they bought it was hire an English coach then buy English players.

Dangote is not English. Look at what's happening with Abramovich. England and any European country can stop any non-english or non-european businesses from operating at anytime and close their bank accounts.

I said State Civil Service will employ strictly State indigenes, while a company like Shell, despite being sighted in a State will employ from other States, including foreign expatriates.

Your post showed Shell employing a chunk from the Niger Delta. Not just from a particular State. Still employing from across the country and even expartriates.

Your post proved my point without you knowing.

Finito.
nope, it doesn't..

Shell is a foreign owned company and only foreign owned companies do those things...

If an Ijaw ( could also be Nigerian ) billionaire or Ijaw consortium owned the oil company then it is under no obligation to hire foreigners or people from other states..

If a foreign corporation or billionaire owned Enyimba that is how they will operate but if an Igbo billionaire or Igbo consortium owned Enyimba they are under no obligation to operate that way..

Its the same way Dangote is building a refinery in Lagos, despite been a Nigerian, Dangote is not an indigene in the SW so his companies have to hire Yorubas... unlike if the company was based in northern Nigeria...

I didn't prove your point..

So who will pay the staff relocation fee and accomodation fee if for instance the non Igbos are employed from say Lagos?
That depends on the agreement with the company. Most Nigerians that relocate abroad pay for their visa, flight tickets, accommodation and feeding e.t.c

The company will send an employment letter, whether they pay for flight tickets, accommodation and feeding e.t.c will be in the agreement signed with the employee.

Not everyone has employment letter before they relocate some relocate then start applying for work when they get to the country which means they'll pay for everything by themselves from their savings or family back home until they get a job.

The point is simple Civil Service State job and employment in Shell. Shell will be less discriminatory in their selection, unlike the State Civil Service Employment. When I called Enyimba local, I did not mean it in a derogatory manner, if it sounded so. I am talking about the scope of recognition and manner of operating things.

Note, Shell has white expartriates, working in Nigeria in mass.
According to shell's website over 66% of their staff are from the Niger Delta area even though to me it should be 90%.

Shell depending on Whyte expatriates is due to the agreement they signed with Nigeria left to me the expatriates job should be to transfer knowledge to people from Niger Delta states then quit the job. Only 4% of their staff should be foreigners.

Other oil producing countries have their indigenous companies running and operating their oil industry because the person who owns the company takes all the profits and since it's owned by indigenes the profits stay within the country.

Shell N:igeria will pay foreign employees and still take billions of dollars ( trillions of naira even though I'm sure it's in euros or pounds ) in profits back to their own indigenous country and this affects Niger Delta states badly.

Normally Akwa-ibom will have its own oil company, bayelsa will also have their own and each of the oil producing states are meant to have their own version of Shell but since Nigeria wants to practice "one Nigeria" a lot of things that are meant to be normal will not be done and this leads to high unemployment in Nigeria.

Other foreign owned companies are also guilty of this..

You are looking at it because Enyimba is still a local team. If Enyimba is an international franchise competing for global domination. If Cooper was better, Enyimba will pick him. If Amunike was better, he will get the nod. Even Boca is still local. No top coach is going there.
isan is right. He is not looking at it as a local team. To him the word local means indigenous while to you it is a derogatory word.

Even if Enyimba is an international franchise it is still a local club in Nigeria and will favor Igbos before any other Nigerian.

In case you don't know, one of the reasons for having your own country or ethnic nation is to be first choice before anyone else is considered.

This is something a lot of Nigerians fail to understand or acknowledge.

The same thing happens in companies.
the owner/CEO will put people that have the same ethnicity as him/her as first choice before considering others.

That's one of the reasons Nigerians ignorantly scream unemployment is high when in reality they are the ones searching for jobs in companies that are not owned by people who have the same ethnicity as them or they leave their ethnic nations and search for jobs outside of their ethnic nations.

An average Nigerian has a better chance at success in the "racist" UK than he does in his homeland. Can we just look inwards and not throw the race card every chance we get.
This part of your comment is very wrong and it created the problem that led to the civil war and will more problems politically if it's not addressed and respected...

Nigeria is a combination of different ethnic nations whose geographic location and indigenous lands are located within Nigeria.

Yoruba nation is not the home of non-Yorubas even if non-Yorubas live and work there , Igbo nation is not the home of non-Igbos even if non-igbos live and work there e.t.c

The term Nigerian is not an ethnic description of anyone.

Nnamdi Azikiwe hid behind "Uniting Nigerians" to give federal government jobs that are meant to be given to qualified indigenes to Igbos and this created animosity between indigenes and Igbos and after some months or years indigenes and igbos started killing each other which eventually led to the civil war..

Bu:haree is hiding behind "one Nigeria" to build RU:GA or new local government areas for f:ulanis and his other tribes:men all over southern Nigeria despite the fact that southern Nigeria has smaller land area than no:rthern Nigeria and this has also created animosity between indigenes and f:ulanis and other No:rtherners and also after some months indigenes and fu:lanis started killing each other which has led to an underground or covert civil war been fought in Nigeria even if Nigerians don't want to admit it.

To answer your quote:
Most Nigerians are first successful in their ethnic nations or the SW of Nigeria before leaving Nigeria. It's the higher salary and security that motivates Nigerians to leave Nigeria not lack of success.

Sir,this is not about Eguavoen formation but Osimehn and Tammy comparison in seria A and how the duo does their things.
How strikers do their things depends on formation and the amount of chances created for the strikers. Tammy has played more games than Osimhen and gets other players involved in attacks unlike Osimhen because Tammy has a strike partner and an attacking midfielder or false striker behind him.
