My three bags are sitting well in storage until price appreciate
I have 7 bags of corn as well
I'm a happy Farmer not some online wannabe Some people earn 30k or 360k/annum. Three bags of beans is around 600k. It took you just three month to plant and harvest it. Why not our office people plant such and earn more than their easy 360k that's never enough? |

Maryam1234: Yes is profitable
Know that you'll have to spray three times before maturity
That's what alot of people get wrongly resulting to poor yield This year I planted less than 2 custard bucket of beans and harvest 3 bags
I spent less than 50k overall from the beginning to harvest labours
I did thrashing myself
If you're going into farming on a small scale make use of your energy to avoid serious cost
You can employ labour but it shouldn't be a must because some labourer won't be able to identify issues immediately it sprout
Farming generally is worth going into because the future billionaires will definitely come from the Agric Sector That 3 bags is more than what some people transport with 50% of their salary to earn for a whole year. Why not farm for three months and earn even more? |

I will tie their legs and take them on walks to places with leftover food like restaurants and grain market. I should be able to raise 150 chicken every year. |

IbeOkehie: THE CAUSE of CORRUPTION is subsidies and government ownership of productive assets & companies.
EVIDENCE -
compare corruption in private and government universities.
compare corruption in the telecoms BEFORE and AFTER privatization and deregulation of the sector.
You mentioned forex subsidy. Round tipping is a form of corruption facilitated by forex subsidy and regulated price.
In the USA the major form of corruption in the crude oil and natural gas sector involves ALLOCATION of wells located on government owned lands. Look up USA BLM oil leases scandal OIG report.
Anyone that doesn't understand these truths just doesn't want to.

IbeOkehie: ALL the subsidies are unsustainable...forex, electricity, rice, university education and health, railways and NIPOST and NTA & FRCN, pilgrimage...these are STILL being paid.
The worst part is they don't achieve any goals of the subsidy, only poor quality and scarcity.
Nigeria must scrap ALL subsidies. And STOP printing naira at rates above productivity. In fact the best thing would be to adopt bitcoin in order to eliminate inflation. Or maybe gold backed digital asset of some sort.
Good Luck to Nigerians ...and that's down to mismanagement. Power subsidy has replaced petrol and is always rising. Even in darkness. That is corruption. Govt increased the rate and most customers are paying the rate so what is the point of increasing subsidy? It shows you that wherever the money is, corruption will always be there and the solution is to eliminate corruption. |

veraponpo: Nigeria just needs to build our real economy by producing things we consume and if possible increase our export.
Once we can do that, the rate of inflation will go down and naira will appreciate in value. What we were having before was a cosmetic growth not built on the fundamental foundation of economic development. It was solely on crude export, fixed exchange rate that skewed towards the elite that had political influence thereby create arbitrage for only a select few. That was not sustainable which was why Nigeria could not meet with its obligations before
Our problem for a long time is the artificial growth we were having.
Let's produce food for our consumption and export, produce textiles we wear and if possible export. We need to reduce our consumption of foreign food and materials and encourage local production. Ina very short time, our economy will grow. Broda Yekini thinks activity and more money is the way out. |
