Lagos is unique. Tell me any other state that has 20 millions souls cramped into that small space. Plus the figure there is higher and Lagos is a summary of Nigeria.
May be Tinubu and co were right to demand special status for Lagos.

I see rice there.

I see beans, and tinned tomatoes. The only missing item is MEAT.

In an emergency situation like the one unfolding now, Nigerians can rest assured that as long as the walls of their houses are graced with numerous sunbathing Agama red-headed lizards, they will NEVER be short of meat to add to their Ogun State Government Stew.
In Japan or Nigeria? We don't eat lizard, Chicken does and we then eat the chicken. Get your humour right.

What happened to all the huge budget they got for health and infrastructure in the past?
Our govt like creating emergencies out of situation to further their personal interests. Any infrastructure drive is characterized by brief case companies of those in power doing a shoddy job at inflated rate.
I am sure if asked about his rating of performance in health, Buhari would have given himself a healthy pass mark.

The problem is still the media, they sample a pictures of people falling down in China and amplified the fear of what was largely unknown in something else.

The impression we had at first was that of 97% of infected people falling down and dying. All the same, Covid is a serious plague if not well managed.

You can help with mentioning one corporate entity making ventilators in Africa and Nigeria.. let's start from that..

The US with over 300m population and in existence for hundreds of centuries had less than 5,000 ventilators, while Nigeria had less than 100.. is that the product you claim Africa makes..

From your comment.. it only shows you are just bias Innoson was first to make such request fro. The FG and nothing more..

I guess if it was china that made such request, wont you applaud it while writing a cheque?..
Corporate entities capable of making ventilators. Stop sampling irrelevant facts while replying to your own imagination.

Western media has made everything non_western evil. We
need to sit down and look at it logically.
Nigeria has been struggling to fight BH for decade, US has
never shown any genuine support, infact, at a time they're
were technically supporting BH by blocking every opportunity
to access weapons. Whereas, the same US has been
building sophisticated millitary bases all over Africa with
several billions of dollars even all over islands in Africa. In a
continent struggling to provide as basic thing as clean water,
road, edu, etc. In term of infrastructural development, US
hasnt built anything tangible anywhere in Africa despite her
big economy and influence.
On the other hand, China is building projects across Africa
from electricity to train to Airport, roads, scholarships to
Africans, etc even with their own money. Let's say we can't
pay and they take over them, who would still be using those
infrastructure, Chinese? At least they brought them here, so
if we can't pay back and they take over them these things
would still be in use by Africans and improve quality of life,
just like every private business.
US/Trump that everyone is supporting call Africans all kinds
to unprintable names, visa ban, reporting weak sides of
African nations and continuously ridiculing everything we do.
The list is long. China hasnt done any of these yet, western
media still find their ways into the hearts of Africans to hate
Chinese. Sadly, enough some fake pastors joined this
brainwashed citizens.
Look at China, how many times have they tumbled African
govt? How many nations have China invaded in Africa? How
many times has Chinese embassy criticize our local affairs?
Etc
New York started have underground train in 1809, that's
200yrs, they never extended such to Africa. China started
booming just 20yrs ago and they've extended everything
technology they have to us, that have improved our lives;
From phones, train, Good Airport, Naval ship, Telecom,
Roads, scholarships, etc
Africans must sitdown and think. China is not your enemy.
China banned Christianity and want to rewrite the bible. How about that?

You just might lack knowledge on how to run and manage a business.

Ventilator is not an essential commodity like crude oil used to power your cars every single day..

Ventilator surge now is artificial, if this pandemic never happened, has Nigeria not coped for years with its limited quantity..

Didn't Nigeria pay the US $1bn for fighter jets to be delivered in 2021 because of the type of commodity?

If innoson makes it in large quantity, how many finished manufactured mechanical products are exported from Africa, talk more of a rarely used ventilator which can be improvised.. can Nigeria buy crude oil from Angola?

Of what point is making ventilators in large quantity without order when your hospitals are below par and are barely standing, and china being a stone throw away for single import.

Do you think mass production is done by hand? Automated Machines do these things and they dont come cheap..

: - On your tribal slurs on SE politicians not donating

- They are politicians aswell, they know how corrupt the leaders are.. they steal everything down to even pen and paper..

- They have donated in their private capacity aswell as their charities which they can control and manage properly..

- Moreover Peter Obi never makes his donations known, even mbaka tried forcing him, he still never did..

You can take your hate and insults to your family..
All your logic here is plain Okoro-logic.

Once he makes his ventilators he can always sell it anywhere in the world. If we want to talk about corporate entities capable of making ventilators in Africa or Nigeria, innoson won't even be heard of.

People shouting 5G may be missing something. 5G is always deployed to areas with high population density because of its technical characteristics that supports more bandwidth. Coincidentally, crowded areas are more likely to aid the transmission of Coronavirus.
I pick the theory of cold weather over 5G because 5G is always associated with densely populated areas by network providers looking to utilize its high bandwidth.

Christianity Etc › Re: Churches Should Obey The Government's Social Distancing And Lockdown Order by CodeTemplar: 9:20am On Apr 05, 2020
alBHAGDADI:
I recently read that a very popular pastor in Nigeria spoke against the arrest of pastors who disobeyed the social distancing order by the government by holding services of more than 50 people. His argument is that the pastors were arrested just as Jesus and his disciples were arrested for doing what government warned against.

Both instances are quite different from each other. Jesus and his disciples were arrested by the government for upholding God's commandments and testimonies. These pastors on the other hand were arrested for disobeying the government who hasn't stopped them from upholding God's commandments.

The lockdown and social distancing order by the government is not a persecution of Christianity as some are trying to paint it. It is truly what it is - the protection of people which is by curbing the spread of COVID-19.

If some people say Christianity is persecuted because Churches aren't allowed to hold services in the regular manner, what about night clubs, sports stadiums, concert halls, restaurants, buses, schools etc? Can those ones also cry of persecution?

The government is simply trying to protect the citizens by ensuring that the number of people infected with COVID-19 doesn't increase. Perhaps, it's when people start dropping dead that stubborn folks will understand the government's effort.

Any pastor that tries to cramp his church with a crowd is wicked and should be arrested for endangering lives and aiding the spread of the virus.

Some may say "God will protect us, so we must have faith in that by gathering as usual". That is a wrong thing to say because it means you are tempting God. God steps in when there's nothing else you can do to protect yourself. But when you have measures or escape route and still decide to walk into evil because you think God will protect you, then you will be punished.

Proverbs 22:3
A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.

Don't tempt God, obey the government's guidelines towards battling this virus. It is not compulsory you gather in a build before you worship God. You can worship God individually at home because God is everywhere and can see you.

Proverbs 15:3
The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.

The only time you can disobey government's order as a Christian is when they are telling you to disobey God's word. Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego were told by their government to bow before a statue. They refuse because it was against God's commandment.

Exodus 25:4-5
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

The three young man refused to obey the government's order because it goes against God's word. Then knew the punishment the government would visit then with. They knew God could deliver them from it because they couldn't deliver themselves. The only other way out of the punishment is by disobeying God. They didn't want that route so they trusted in God.

Daniel 3:17
17 If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king

Don't let any false pastor expose your life to danger of the virus. The worst thing is that when you get infected, same pastors who hold stage-managed miracles in large stadiums won't be able to perform a miracle to heal you because they are false prophets who don't know God.

Stay at home and stay away from conspiracy theories. Read the Bible.
How many imams have been arrested by the same govt. At least they are still gathering to pray on Fridays.
Let's be balanced when talking about constitutional rule of law. You ask one group not to gather but permit the other to gather.
