PoliticsRe: PDP Mocks Buhari's One-Year In Office With Cartoon Images by cold(m):
Sad. Buhari wasted 6 whole months wrangling with Tinubu over ministerial list. When he eventually did they just turned out to be same old, same old. But people heaved a sigh of relief hoping some work would get done. Few months down the line...nothing. Only a few weeks back the budget was signed into law after several back and forth with Nass and Buhari's apologists broke into a wild and ecstatic jubilation. Finally, we'll start seeing results. Nothing yet so far only excuses about how the entire budget will not be implemented this year. But we're still waiting.
I wonder how long it's going to take to at least see some glimmer of hope. For goodness sakes this is one whole year wasted. Or are we still going to hear choruses like 'it's too premature to criticise the government. Give Buhari more time'. After a year of directionless, directionlessness and planless, planlessness. Oma se!

I wouldn't put it past Asari to say those things. But that source is not credible.
PoliticsRe: Buhari-Osinbajo's Promise Of 24Hour Electricity Supply: We Are Still Waiting by cold(m): 6:01pm On May 26, 2016
Sigh, it would have been funny if it wasn't so pathetic. But watch out for the cavalry. How they'll storm this thread guns blazing. Shooting down any dissenting voice and blaming everyone else for their egregious error of judgement.

zik4ever:
This man retired four years ago and has to be brought out of retirement like the DG of the SSS because there is no one competent within the organization like him? What is happening to succession planning? And please don't tell me about competence because we have at least one competent person in every region and State in this country.
Like seriously. Retired in 2012, brought out of retirement in 2016. The mind boggles!

Tough luck for Nigeria. This is what you get when the inequality in the system becomes overwheming. I sincerely hope these issues are addressed asap before things really get out of hand
PoliticsRe: Niger-Delta Avengers Bomb Chevron's Escravos Tank Farm Main Electricity Pipel by cold(m): 5:07am On May 26, 2016
Hmm..the Nigerian economy is hemorrhaging badly and might just suffer a total collapse. The presidency had better get their act together and engage these militants in a peaceful and tactful manner. Rather than indulging in all these sabre rattling and meaningless posturing.

PoliticsRe: Nigeria's Kaduna State Declares 'tomato Emergency' by cold(m): 5:52am On May 25, 2016
This is what the north with so much arable land should be looking to invest in. Agro allied products with the right infrastructure for transport, storage and preservation. Rather than chasing after petrodollars which in any event, has suffered a major slump.

PoliticsRe: Senator Ben Murray-Bruce Reply To Ambode by cold(m): 5:50am On May 24, 2016
Only in Nigeria will such an act ever make sense. You have an auto manufacturing outfit in the country but a state governor, not a private individual goes to foriegn lands to make his auto purchases for state use with tax payers money. Where else in this world is that possible without the accompanying public outcry?

hucienda:
The relative silence of this man just kinda makes the present administration at the centre uneasy.
Aswerigad they still can't figure. Hence they keep prodding him by making all sorts of snide remarks and overly aggressive statements just to push to at least say something they can hold him to. Alas,he maintains a dignified silence and this is not going down well with the APC hierarchy. I sincerely hope he maintains this posture going forward and watch this directionless administration squirm in their foolery
PoliticsRe: Drop A Message For The Nigerdelta Militants by cold(m): 5:06am On May 24, 2016
freeze001:
Don't renege on your demands! There must be resource control, fiscal federalism and the release of Nnamdi Kanu. Oil wells must also be equitably allocated or in joint ventures with host communities and foreign companies. Don't give in to short term cash n wealth that does the environment and region no good. Ensure your name is written in gold and that posterity will hold u in favourable n high esteem.

Most importantly though, do not let down ur guard and never let them succeed in dividing and pitting u against fellow fighters. Ensure you are not being set up for a sting operation.
Now all has been heard/written. Here is the conclusion of the matter. Insist on equitable distribution of the nation's commonwealth and stay true to your demands. For this is the whole duty of Niger Deltans.
PoliticsRe: Fayose Commissions Hunters To Fight Herdsmen (Video) by cold(m): 4:56am On May 24, 2016
Talking tough, acting tough. This should be coming from the president. Alas, it's a state governor that has taken the most decisive step yet. The irony.

PoliticsRe: FG Plans Dialogue With Militants To End Vandalism - Lai Mohammed, Kachikwu by cold(m): 10:28pm On May 23, 2016
The situation has gone way beyond talking points. The inequality in the system needs to be addressed. Even if they get through to the militants and urge them to sheath their swords, we'll only be kicking the can down the road. Because as long as the inequality persists, the grievances expressed therein are bound to rear up again in the not too distant future.

PoliticsRe: Kaduna Refinery Shutdown Because Of Effect Of Niger Delta Avengers by cold(m): 4:49am On May 23, 2016
Until the philosophy which holds one ethnic region superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned, everywhere is war! War in the east, war in the west, war up north, war down south. War and rumours of war.
And until that day, dream of lasting peace, an egalitarian society governed by the rule of law will remain but a fleeting iĺlusion to be pursued but never attained.

I hope this one can at least justify the fact that she was about to sit for a WAEC paper before she was abducted. The whole scenario is becoming ludicrous. In any event, i'm happy for her.
