The Muhammadu Buhari Legacy Foundation has called on northerners to cut off food supply to the South-South for 30 days until the Niger Delta Avengers militant group stops its attacks on petroleum pipelines in the South-South Region. As LeadersNG learnt, the Foundation’s Coordinator, Sani Bello Maikusa, said they have ordered Northerners doing business in South-South region to stop supplying agricultural produce, cows, donkeys, dogs, to that part of the country. Speaking on Sunday in Kaduna during a lecture organised by the Foundation to celebrate President Muhammadu Buhari’s one year in office, Bello Maikusa lamented that the continued attack on petroleum pipelines in that region has made the country to lose 25 percent of its crude oil. He said: “President Buhari’s efforts to improve power supply to above 5000 mgw has dropped to less than 150 mgw as a result of pipeline sabotage and Avengers. “Gas cannot be pumped for electricity and crude oil cannot be pushed to refineries in Warri and Kaduna. We are therefore calling for a total boycott of the South-South region for a period of 30 days from July 1st to July 30 2016. “All businessmen, goods services, agricultural suppliers, suppliers of cows, donkeys, dogs, from the 5 regions of the country should boycott south-south region in protest to the sabotage and pipe line vandalism going there. “The 30 days boycott will show to the avengers that no region in the country can stands on its own or hold this country to ransom.” The group also added that the activities of the Avengers are simply aimed to take revenge on President Buhari’s government for the failures of PDP and Goodluck Jonathan’s government. The Chairman of the occasion, former Assistant Inspector General of Police Lawal Bawa, urged Nigerians to be patient with the Buhari’s administration s its set to take the country to greater heights http://leaders.ng/2016/05/30/pipeline-vandalism-group-asks-buhari-to-cut-off-food-supply-to-niger-delta-states/ |

Oluwamuyeewa:Erm..don't see what this has got to do with the subject at hand |
Emmysteve:I tire o! Like we're going to abduct him |
Buhari, enough with the shenanigans! Get to work already! |
EmekaBlue: lwkm..your journey to self realisation has begun |
Oh my! Smh. With the millions of prayers going up to god every mili second from Nigeria with virtually no results so far. It is either god is deaf, dead or simply doesn't exist. I'm leaning towards the latter You know it just hit me. Could it be that Nigerians are sincere with their prayers but have been praying to the wrong god all along? Hmm..the mind boggles |
Liar Mohammed is a pathological, compulsive and incorrigible liar. And Buhari has no idea what he is doing. He is out of his depth.
|
Wow! It took renewed militancy and belligerency in the Niger Delta to get this administration to finally wake up to its responsibilty. Smh! |
hahn:Haha brilliant! |
Zombies be like...It's too premature to criticise the present administration. Give Buhari more time. He's only a year in office for crying out loud. Lwkm |
GlorifiedTunde:I have no qualms with Buhari prosecuting those that have ràped our commonwealth. In fact, i see that as one of GEJ's greatest undoing. Giving his lieutenants a free reign. Even though the recent arrests and prosecution may look a little lopsided, when the PDP or any other party get into power next they should arrest and prosecute those found to be corrupt in the APC. That should balance things out. After all, it is not the fault of the APC that the PDP failed to prosecute anyone. But is that where governance ends? Have you heard of the term multitasking? What about the economy? What about electricity, what about infrastructure? Why must everything else suffer simply because Buhari is fighting a war on corruption? Do you have any idea the number of promises APC made pre election? Not one, i repeat, not one has been fulfilled. What did we get instead; a complete volte face and belligerent denial that these promises were ever made. It's really sad how you folks continue to live in denial. Rather, attacking anyone that dared to bare his mind on the current state of affairs and continually blame the previous administration for their inability to perform. The question now is how much longer will the blame game go on? Even Buhari in his private moments agrees he has no idea what he is doing
|
This is exactly what i've been saying |
Hmmm |
APC apologists are exactly the kind of people that keep blaming their ancestors for their current woes. Rather than roll up their sleeves and get to work, they sit, sulk and whine on how their father's father brother from their maternal side has been sitting on their progress and has placed a curse on their generation. Government is a continuum. Every administration inherits liabilities and try to ameliorate the situation or make it better. Truth is buhari has no idea on how to tackle the plethora of problems facing the country. He is grossly incompetent, inept and bereft of ideas. Period!
|
Sigh..you can never tell the mind's construct on the face. People can be desperately evil |
Hian! But we knew this already. The APC are like football spectators. Analysing every move from the sidelines. Criticising every footballer and explaining how every move should have been made. Give them the round leather na, they suddenly discover it's not as easy as it looks. |
Mtcheew..funny how everyone keeps going on about diversification, yet, no one is doing anything about it. All stuck on crude for the foreseeable future. Whilst paying lip service to diversification..sigh |
Sigh |
Girls are looking good. Me likey |
The absurdities of Christianity |
Madam who you kidding? Which world do live in? Smh |
It's been a long time coming |
Sigh |
Cute |
Wow! See men |
The man's reaching |
Sad. Seriously though, Nigerians are a hardy bunch. People working and going for months without pay. I can't even begin to imagine. (((Shudders))) |
Hmm..that seat is a microcsm of the state of naija at the moment. Nigeria jaga, jaga. Everything scatter, scatter |
pinkyliceous:Fair-weather. I understand we're all unhappy about the state of things presently. Hence mistakes can be made. |
Hmmm..Buhari is working. Sai baba! Lmao ![]() |
