END TIME!! PASTOR JAILED IN AMERICA FOR REFUSING TO WED GAY COUPLE Photos below A 56-year-old pastor, Paul Horner, has been jailed in the United States for allegedly refusing to join a gay couple despite the legalization of gay marriage across the nation. Horner of the Christian Proctor Church in Vermont, was given a sentence of one-year jail term in the federal prison. Handing down the sentence, Honorable Myron Danus said, “Religious freedom goes both ways, Mr. Horner. “It is not your place to deny individuals the same rights that everyone else has, rights that were passed down and agreed upon in a court of law, the ultimate court, the Supreme Court. “It is not your decision whether or not you agree with the law but more importantly that you follow it and enforce it.” Speaking to journalists after the court session, Horner’s lawyer said, “We are currently disputing the guilty verdict and I am confident my client will be a free man here shortly,” said attorney Tom Downey. “Horner was just using his best judgement according to his rights and religious freedom in this country.” Investigators discovered that Horner’s church is registered with the state as a “religious corporation” which is only entitled to joining “one-man-one-woman marriages as defined by the Holy Bible.” City officials are of the view that the church authorities must comply with state and federal regulations since it is also registered as a for-profit business. President of the Vermont Family Research Committee, Steve Shand, said it is “open season on Americans who refuse to bow to the government’s redefinition of marriage.” “Homosexuals are gay. Why should Christian ministers be forced to perform and celebrate any marriage that conflicts with their beliefs? It’s a slippery slope my friend. Pretty soon these same pastors will be forced to wed animals or kitchen appliances. This is not my America!” According to NBC, Gwen Hawkins who is president of the LGBT Pride Center in Vermont said she is happy with the guilty verdict. Hawkins said, “We just want the same rights as everyone else and this guilty verdict sets a great precedent. “These fanatical Christians base their life on one verse in the Bible but they seem to forget the other 99% of the verses in the book. For example, why can’t we stone to death Bristol Palinfor having a baby out of wedlock? And what about her mother, Sarah Palin, breaking the rules ofCorinthians 14:34 which clearly state that as a woman, she is not allowed to teach or to assume authority over a man; she must be quiet. But no, they like to pick the one verse in the Bible about gay people and build their camp around it.” Proctor is a town in Rutland County, Vermont, United States. The population was 1,741 at the 2010 census. Proctor is home to the Vermont Marble Museum and Wilson Castle. http://norookiemedia.com/

abbey621:the rate at which the bank converts our currency to another is known as the bank rate. Most times this rate reflects that set by CBN. Thanks for your time |
abbey621:Please sir/madam, could you please throw more light on Bank Rate and the bearing it has with Forex? Because i understand it to mean The interest rate at which a nation's central bank lends money to domestic banks. It is also known as discount rate. It could also refer to the interest rate at which banks lend money to their customers. Foreign exchange rate is mainly driven by forces of demand and supply. For there to be a cut down in the volume of dollars supplied to importers by CBN, it invariably encourages hike in rate. Most important is the fact that demand will not fall in the same direction as the supply because importers who trade on products that have near inelastic demand will keep importing regardless of the change in foreign exchange rate because they can pass the increase in cost of those products to buyers in the form of higher price. |
Truth be told, disgusting is an understatement. The guy couldn't contain it. It so unnatural and unimaginable. #Gayworst# |
I am somewhat convinced inside of me that, that was a political statement to allay the fears of people in the south east. |
But what we could be talking about is disarmament and rehabilitation process for those who are willing to put down their weapons,” he added. First paragraph of the cript for granting amnesty to Boko Haram read. |

By their fruit we shall know them. You cannot get what God does not give. Even when you think you merit them. Life is 5% what happened to you and 95% how you choose to look and react to it. |
In relative terms yes. Holistically corruption was equally alarming in GEJ's regime and the media and the awakened political consciousness of Nigerians exacerbated it under GEJ. |
porka:Your blood should calm down OK. It was just an analogy. It was Venezuela's president that i was supposed to say. He did not haul the shoe himself though. It was done by an Iraqi. Case closed |
Bjergtrolde:It was actually Venezuela. And your question, i could not comprehend. |
BekeeBuAgbara:You are right. That escaped me. Thanks |
And you want non Igbos to concour with that right? The truth be told, they are quite smart especially when faced with challenges of survival. |
Thumbs up bro. More courage to your courage. |
OP how old are you? Are you a learner? What you just Googled are all contained in a leaflet inside the drugs pack. So is a common knowledge to most users. You sound as if you made a discovery. |
Can you remember an event where late Venezuela's president " Hugo Chavez " encouraged the Iraqi who pulled his shoe and fired it at former American's president "George W Bush" while on a meeting and he ( Chavez) accused him of speaking as if he owned the world. Tinubu speaks as if he owns Nigeria in general and and APC in particular. If he could have his way, he would hijack the party and determines who gets what. Tinubu is callous who is bent on exploiting all and sundry. |
Though we love makeup and skincare as much as the next girl, we know beauty truly starts from the inside. No matter how diligently you select your products, you’d be remiss to not also consider how you’re nourishing the body via diet, which directly affects the appearance of your skin. We tapped holistic celebrity facialist Susan Ciminelli to outline exactly what foods you should be eating based on your skin type (consider this a cheat sheet for your next grocery store trip). As a general rule of thumb everything you ingest should be organic, natural and fresh—also, try to avoid processed foods when possible as they are more difficult for the body to digest. Additionally, limiting your intake of alcohol and coffee improves skin’s texture and clarity (in excess, the two can lead to cell damage, dehydration, increased blood pressure and clogging of the liver, which results in acne). Swap out your daily caffeine fix for a green tea and strive to eat skin-healthy foods. Here, take note of Susan’s tips for what to eat to make your complexion—and tummy—happy. For Dry/Sensitive Skin "Avocados are great for people with sensitive skin as they are loaded with Omega-9 fatty acids, known to reduce redness and irritation levels in your complexion. Stock up on berries: Raspberries are loaded with antioxidants and vitamins, while goji berries help to fight off free radicals in the body. Vegetables are an essential part of everyone’s diet and should be eaten on a regular basis, especially for those with dry skin. Kale is especially great for helping to maintain the skin’s elasticity. Steer clear of wheat, dairy, sugar and processed foods, as they can easily inflame skin." Source THE ZOE REPORT |
The rumour and subsequent manifestion thereof, that FG had a plan to move and the eventual movement of Boko Haram prison inmates into Anambra state has thrown the entire south east, and Anambra State in particular in disarray. Anambrarians agitate that B.H prisoners should not be moved to the state and south east in general on the rationale that the fate that befell the people of North East would befall them should there be a jail break. Secondly, the possibility of sect members, radicalising the other inmates is something to dread of. According to them, it is not a wise security decision to move terrorist to other parts of the country where peace is relatively maintained. It is better to contain the menace in the north east and tackle them from there. However, some analysts argue in support of the move. According to them, it will compel all Nigerians to feel the heat of the sect's activity. Hence, all will be actively involved in the fight against terrorism. They argue that the same objective of moving military head quarters to north east is not far from the Anambra case, which is to make the military base in the north east, Boko Harams' first port of call. That way, they could be compelled to live up to their bidding. Others, in exasperation, question the wisdom in the delay to try and execute B.H suspects ever since they were apprehended. I share the pain of the last group who question the delay in the execution of these nuisance and I will quickly blame it on Gudluck Ebele Jonathan's political interest. His political interest almost brought Nigeria to her knees. He compromised a lot of issues, especially the ones he perceived would work against his personal interest to gain support of northerners. He failed to try and execute significant number of Bokoharam's suspects and the a few he executed, were done in secrecy. Take the release of Almza Mustapha from prison, What was the rationale? The minister of interior conducted an employment recruitment that is adjudged the worst exercise the world over. What was his action? The subsidy scam and it's probe and counter probe was swept under the rug and so many other events that impacted ordinary Nigerians negatively that he allowed because he did not want to step on toes, and consequently Mar his ambition. Those are mess his administration never cleaned up and if PMB want to leverage on that to punish - so to speak, those he perceived to be GEJ's supporters, i blame GEJ. He was never selfless as he claimed . In conclusion, PMB should be reminded that two wrongs cannot make a right. Anything he does should follow global best practices. On that note, I agree with those who are of the opinion that the menace of Bokoharam should be contained in the north east to avoid infestation of the entire country by moving them to other regions. If we sincerely want to win the war against Bokoharam, they must be contained in the north east. Long live Federal republic of Nigeria Long live PMB Long live my fellow compatriots. |
Even some of us with reasonable and constructive criticism, concluded with abuse and counter abuse such that i ended up not liking or sharing any of their thoughts. We cannot move forward if we continued this way. |
This is ridiculous man! |
With due respect to PMB, i would want to remind him that anything that would not impact the lives of ordinary Nigerians should not be given attention. All these callous men seeking personal aggradizement have a plan to hijack you to dance to their tone. Ask GEJ to tell you at what point he got it wrong, he will tell you,it was at the point of his attempt to please Party members and gain loyalty. The day you where sworn into office marks the end of politicking and the beginning of governance. The former has a discriminatory feature while the later has an inclusive feature. Always refer to the objectives you have set to achieve to know the relevant issues to attend to. And ignore the seemingly an unending effort to thwart every effort by Nigerians to effect positive change in this country by politicians who use noise apparatus- one of which is what is happening in NASS. They derive joy in impoverishing the downtrodden. Lastly, DO NOT DISAPPOINT RV. FR. EJIKE MBAKA given what he went through for your sake. I wish you well. 4rm collino O42. All errors are mine lol. |
What happens after urination? You buy water, washes the sewage pipe and bags it in your hand bag? Hmmmm. It's cool though. |

If this policy was meant to increase the cost prices of imported products, and encourage growth of local industries, and the policy does not factor in other factors that informs consumers' choice of product other than price - taste, quality, ostensible nature of some Nigeria consumers etc. The policy will not achieve it's objective. Why? Because most of the aforementioned products in the policy have near perfect inelasticity. If CBN thinks that increase in prices that would be brought about by buying forex from parallel market will lead to fall in demand of imported product and consequently discourage importation, other demand determinants other than price could offset that. Total ban could have done the job if well enforced. To give more life line to the policy, locally manufactured products must be significantly subsidized by government to - in the short run compel consumers to have a taste of made in Nigeria product. And SON must do its job without compromise. |
