In a nutshell: if Igbo like you feelntheres nothing to gain in the presidency of this country, then you should have done a "Jehovah's Witnesses" on the whole process!!!

Why label GEJ an Igbo and go ahead to align and continue to align with him. There are other ethnic groups in this country that have been quiet politically and have had gains from doing so.

You just want to eat you cake and still have it.
No body labelled GEJ and Igbo President except Yoruba guys like you.
We align with him because we like his style of governance and his transformational achievements across the country.
How is that a problem to you?

Go home and think about it.
Presidency.... How does it benefit Igbos, how has it benefitted Yorubas, Ijaws, Fulanis? No answer you jumped to state creation.
How has state creation benefitted the north? No reply.
Alliances, how did your alliance with the north help you in the national conference? How many of your specific interests did they support?
No reply.

But its igbos with more voice than yours that keep trumpeting about marginalisation.

Anyways, I'd noted it long ago that igbos are not coherent politically and are not informed enough to see the link between political power and economy. They are too emotional and therefore end up not being forthright when required.

They are bipolar about what Nigeria represents as against Biafra and this make the individuals react differently to political situations. In the end the only cohesive Igbo group is the family unit.
Questions still not answered.

Hope when d policies no longer favor the SE aand those indices start plumeting you wont cry marginalization. Who is even talkin about an Igbo presidency when your kind of mentality is the reason the Igbo are not cohesive enough to be considred a pressure group-where they can influence policy decisions in government. Look at the GEJ government and evry other government before it, d north has always bn at the forefront of favorable policy decisions-you might say they have the "born to rule" mentality but who ends up crying at the end of d day? What has GEJ done for d SE relative to the North....its ol about interest brother n not sentiments thats why its called politics!

Kai. You missed the point! The point is not just igbo presidency. The point is Igbo are not a major force to recon with politically. Igbo presidency is just a case study. Igbo has the least number of state. When it was time to create more state for SE to balance the anomaly, Igbo was yet again marginalised and instead of other regions to back ndi igbo up, others used the opportunity to request for even more state. WHY, because igbo has no allies and are busy creating more enemies. I am tempted to say SW, NC and other regions will probably get more states before SE.

True. In a sane world, there shouldn't be anything special which tribe the president come from. But in Nigeria, SE have always claimed to be marginalised in Nigerian politics and whether you admit it or not, SE see gej as a pseudo SE candidate (that's partly why he emphasise Azikwe in his name).
This is absolute nonsense.
Every region, state and ethnic group pursue their own interests in Nigeria, there is nothing like ally. No amount of alliance with the North would have made them happily agree to the creation of more states in the east without demanding for something themselves. You are Yoruba, you claim to form alliances and keep friends while Igbos are creating enemies right? Now tell me one Yoruba agenda in that same conference that was pushed forward and supported by the north.
Besides the states we have today were created by military decree not through any democratic process so you can never tell.
How is an Igbo President going to solve the problems of an average Igbo man? How are the ones who have had the Presidency faring?
How will an extra state benefit an Igbo man?
How is the north faring with its 19 states?

It may already be too late for SE. That may be the reason some people would rather sink with GEJ. They'd rather look for any excuse no matter how silly or baseless not to vote GMB.
I was told by a very respectable role model of mine that in life, their is no permanent enemy nor permanent friend - only permanent interest. You build bridges to save your interest. For example, the US interest in middle east is Israel. To preserve/secure that interest, the US build bridges and made many arab (SAUDI being the chief) countries her allies. The same US many Nigerians see as a near-perfect country has Saudi (a country many Nigerians see as the home of evil) as her biggest ally in the middle east.

SE has the least number of voters, the least number of states (and by extension the least number of governors), the least number of senators, the least number of local gov. the least number of rep members. Yet not only do they refuses to build bridges to the north and west, they even foolishly create enemies (lagos deportation is a classic example). If there is a debate in senate today about whether igbo has used their presidency turn going by their support for gej, igbo will lose out because they are the least in numbers and made very little allies if any.
It will be interesting to see how only SE votes can produce an Igbo presidency.
Your long epistle culminated in one thing.. the actualization of an Igbo President.
However you forgot to tell us what special benefits an Igbo Presidency will bring to the average Igbo man citing examples of the Yorubas, Fulanis, Kanuris and Ijaws who have ruled before.

[s]Seriously, what really is in contention? Is the concern that General Buhari does not have the academic qualification to be the president of Nigeria?

Many idiots above even have the guts to be saying and repeating over again that GMB is an illiterate.

How very absurd. For anyone to claim such, he has to close his eyes, brain and heart to a very obvious truth since they are hired for a price to do what they are doing, otherwise, under what consideration does GMB qualify as an illiterate?

Buhari joined the Nigerian Army in
1962, when he attended the
Nigerian Military Training College
(in February 1964, it was renamed
the Nigerian Defence Academy,
(NDA)) in Kaduna. From
1962-1963, he underwent Officer
Cadets training at Mons Officer
Cadet School in Aldershot in
England, United Kingdom (Mons
OCS was officially closed down in
1972).

In January 1963, Buhari was commissioned as second lieutenant, and appointed Platoon Commander of the Second Infantry Battalion in Abeokuta, Nigeria. From November 1963- January 1964, Buhari attended the Platoon Commanders’ Course at the Nigerian Military College, Kaduna.
In 1964, he facilitated his military
training by attending the Mechanical Transport Officer’s Course at the Army Mechanical Transport School in Borden, United Kingdom.

From 1965-1967, Buhari served as
Commander of the Second Infantry
Battalion. He was appointed Brigade Major, Second Sector, First Infantry Division, April 1967 to July 1967.

Buhari was made Brigade Major of
the Third Infantry Brigade, July 1967 to October 1968 and Brigade Major/Commandant, Thirty-first Infantry Brigade, 1970-1971. Buhari served as the Assistant Adjutant-General, First Infantry Division Headquarters, 1971-1972. He also attended the Defense Services Staff College, Wellington, India, in 1973.

From 1974-1975 Buhari was appointed Acting Director, Transport and Supply, Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport Headquarters.
He was also made Military Secretary, Army Headquarters,1978-1979, and was a member of the Supreme Military
Council, 1978-1979.

From 1979 -1980, at the rank of colonel, Buhari attended the US Army War College (established in 1901) in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, United States of America and gained a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies . Upon completion of the on-campus full time resident program lasting ten months and the two-year-long, distance learning program, the United States Army War College (USAWC) college awards its graduate officers a master's degree in Strategic Studies. AgricultureRe: Pastor Ashimolowo Explains The Importance Of Rice Farming by Collynzo9: 8:06pm On Jan 05, 2015
One of the major challenges is fighting hungry birds which destroy rice plantations. However, the solution has been found:
“We divided the plantation into four sections and put at least 10 people in each section
armed with catapults and whistles. We also
used drums,”
Even birds are hungry in the South west.
That is APC's change for you.

PoliticsRe: Oil Slump Cuts Subsidy To 90 Kobo Per Litre by Collynzo9: 4:09pm On Jan 05, 2015
LRNZH:
Let me tell you guys what they're afraid of.
It is 98kobo per liter because oil price is around $56 per barrel.
However, if they remove subsidy and oil prices climb back up, fuel prices will similarly climb and we may end up paying up to N 150 per liter for PMS. This is because we import most of our fuel needs and imported fuels are subject to global oil price. That will cause chaos in this country.

The ideal solution was missed by the GEJ gov't. In January 2012, we had the #OcuppyNigeria protests and the govt promised two refineries.

Fast forward to today and not even TAM or meaningful privatisation of the refineries have occured. We are not refining anything close to meeting our national fuel requirements.

Local refining is the only shock prove solution to swinging oil prices as we refine our own crude, and not buy from the international market.
You can't be farming yam and be buying pounded yam at exhorbitant price. You pound yours.

Another point is maybe the FG is the cabal and won't want subsidy to go away. Afterall, it is a massive cash cow for alot of vested interests.
Dangote and Orient refineries are being built.
As for the prices, they can always bring back the subsidy if crude oil prices increases, which isn't very likely anyway.

90 kobo per litre still runs into billions in total, why not remove the thing entirely and put the billions to better uses?
