shachris: I am an imolite living in aba. Each time i come to owerri, i see the massive infrastructural works going on there and i am amazed. What exactly is okorocha's sin against you and your type? Or are you just after party interest without thinking about the future of your children?
Please give us examples of those 'massive infrastructural projects'. If Okorocha's government is so good, I dare you to relocate from Aba to Owerri and start working there.
shachris: you people are sounding really silly. Why would okorocha organize a wedding when it would be the dream of any igbo couple for okorocha to grace thier wedding iv?
Rochas is worshipped in aba here. You people in imo would not know what you have till you have lost it....but God will not let that happen. Rochas is going to be the next governor of imo state. better go hang yourself now.
The fact that Okorocha is slightly better than T.A Orji doesn't mean that we should settle for his unseriousness, we voted out Ohakim and protected our votes while you guys foolishly allowed Orji to get another 4 years. You better start mobilising to vote Alex Otti to rescue Aba and Abia in general instead of advising Imolites.
theV0ice: he just made the couple feel so special.
but wait o....why dem look advanced like this na??
well it doesn't matter....after all a state governor graced the occasion. haters go and die
That tells you that it might not be a real wedding, Okorocha is capable of setting up anything for propaganda and showmanship. He should have gotten younger people to do this his acting for him.
modath: I wish Ndigbos will leave their noses on their faces, seperating them will never do them any good, Okorocha is trying his best to mend fences and build bridges but the resistance to all friendly overtures is unbecoming. Everyone made their choices; nowhere did the HF and the yorubas promise their votes to Jonathan.
The election is over and done with, the winner has promised to work for everyone, while the loser has asked for everyone's co operation for the incoming regime but some still insist on crying more than the bereaved.
Seems like your reasoning is upside down. Since the election results were announced, Igbos have accepted it, but others especially Yorubas keep castigating Igbos for rejecting APC totally. So who is crying more than the bereaved here?
Okorocha should sell himself with his performance instead of all these threats. He should tell the good people of Imo why he deserves to be re-elected.
ellistmedia: I think our elders should act more peaceful and elderly in their dealings to avoid ethnic violence. The Oba called for a private meeting with these Igbo leaders and most probably the Oba got frustrated after sensing that the Igbos may not back down voting en mass for JK hence the outburst.
I think the Igbo leaders wouldn't have gone to the press to cause this kind of widespread hate.
You are the biggest fool on earth for this senseless thread. The press was there and the Oba even spoke directly to them.
ChinemeOkpan: As long as you were not there or have evidence that he made those comments, then you should keep shut!
The Oba has clarified his statements and I applaud him for this.
As for your rant about Okorocha, another nonsense! The PDP deliberately stifled APC of federal funds and this will end with the incoming government of General Buhari . Okorocha will win the election on Saturday and has a good chance of winning the presidential elections in 2013
Yes Okorocha has a chance of winning the elections in 2013. FG never stifled Imo state of any funds, even Okorocha cannot claim that.
The most important thing is for their workers to come out on time with the materials. You can't fix accreditation for 8AM only for you to start by 2PM. It reduces voter turnout.
ChinemeOkpan: Stop reading meanings into things. Where you there when he made the alleged statements? How do you know this was concocted for damage control?
We don't like the hausas, We don't like the yorubas, yet we populate their states in search of our livelihood ~ Governor Rochas Okorocha
The disjointed story about the Lagoon says it all. Does it make sense? When in the history of Lagos has the lagoon swallowed people on its own for being against the 'interest of Lagos'? What is the 'interest of Lagos' in the Oba's opinion.
As for Rochas Okorocha, you should ask him what he has done to make sure that the people of Imo state specifically stop moving out of the state in search of their livelihood. What investments has he attracted? What jobs has he created? What has he done to make Imo condusive for industialisation? You see why he will be kicked out on Saturday?
WisdomFlakes: PDP's divisive brand of politics, which Jimi seems to have adopted, will always result in failure and rejected by the masses.
See the disjointed story about the Lagoon that the Oba's team concorted to cover their tracks. Does it make sense? When in the history of Lagos has the lagoon swallowed people on its own for being against the 'interest of Lagos'? What is the 'interest of Lagos' in the Oba's opinion.
Castos: This is the real statement, the former was political propaganda from the pit of hell. Igbo's hail your government sir, whether we vote JK or not. You're the Oba and we're highly honoured to be in your aboard.
Be honest with yourself, between this one and the first, which one makes more sense? They just concorted this statement for damage control. Just read the disjointed rubbish about the lagoon there and you can tell that it is made up for the sake of damage limitation.
lemolemo: I beleve yes they kill Yoruba but the proportion is so low to the Igbo, we embrace and respect their institution and we don't go about saying Kano is no mans land.
Can you show me when any of the riots in Kano was because someone called it no man's land?
lemolemo: That explain why Hausa people slay the ibos all time , they never ever respect their host. They make mess of their land , find favour in another mans land only to claim to it saying it belongs to them. A Yoruba man will not attempt all they were doing in aba or abakaliki and I don't see any South east state make a Yoruba man commisioner. So it's a choice, face the business you are here for and stay out of politics or you may as well go back home in droves and develop your land if you believe in fairness !
You think Hausas don't kill Yorubas in those their riots? You are being delusional. That was how you guys said Boko haram was killing Igbos until it became clear in your eyes, then you suddenly started condemning them.
It is one Nigeria. If Buhari can be President of Nigeria and President of Igbos against their wishes and they took it in good faith, the Oba should accept whatever result comes out of the gubernatorial elections. If Agbaje wins, it won't be because of Igbo votes alone, a substantial number of Yorubas, Hausas and others in Lagos must have voted him. If the Oba is tired of one Nigeria and doesn't even want to give Buhari the chance to enjoy his victory, he should try rubbish.
