Gosh! My comparison is between the distance from Maiduguri to Chad and the distance from Lagos to Benin city.

Maiduguri to Chad is 270km
Lagos to benin is 320km

This makes the distance from Maiduguri to chad shorter

In order to drive my point home per shortness of such a distance i now used the distance from Lagos to Ogbomoso which is about 240km because it is the closest distance i could get comparable to the distance between Maiduguri and Chad as a physical illustration of distance

is it clear now?

Read my post again. I said Maiduguri to Chad is 90km LESS than the distance from Lagos to Benin City. (It is one full sentence with no fullstop after 90km)

Lagos to ogbomoso is about 240km

Maiduguri to N'Jamena is about 270km

Lagos to Benin City is about 320km which is why i said the distance from Maiduguri to Chad is about 90km LESS than the distance between Lagos and Benin City

You are saying the same thing as i am. They may dress like our military without their Boko Haram insignia. Read my post again. My emphasis is on how to identify they are BH.

Do they go around when they kidnap with their BH insignia boldly displayed letting everyone know who they are or do they announce who they are after a successful kidnap?

So since we are both saying the same thing does it mean we are both misinforming people?

I think the fact the BH freely roams and kidnaps people around is a clear indication that those areas are not liberated from BH. The government has made progress, but have been very economical about the true security situation in these area, putting innocent lives at risk.

The fact that they kidnapped does not mean they came dressed with BH insignia. For such a sucessful kidnap they would come dressed like civilians but only reveal their identity and that they were behind the kidnap after it was successful.

Do not assume they roam in vehicles or with clothing clearly marked Boko Haram because they do not. The only time the do this is when they make one of their forays to engage our military in a firefight and not for a kidnap. Can you tell them apart from civilians when they dress like civilians?

They drove a bonb-laden car into the building. Same way anybody can drive a car. last time i checked it's not illegal to drive. If they want to do it again, they will. It'll even be easier for them, the government will just cover it up and claim it was a gas explosion. That's the only thing the current government dos, tell lies.
You need to learn to put your country first before party affiliations. If things are going bad, say it as it is. That's the only way we'll grow, don't be a sycophant, you're too big for that.

Early 2014 Boko Haram controlled 20 Local governments in Borno. a few months to the elections of 2015 they were pushed back and 17 Local governments were reclaimed by the army. They only held 3 local governments and this was back in 2015 before the elections under GEJ.

Post 2015, ALL LOCAL GOVERNMENTS were reclaimed with BH driven back to Chad where they are making forays from today.

However because of these forays they make some roads in Borno are considered dangerous to ply. This does not mean they operate from within Nigeria but that one can still run into them during one of their forays from their new base in Chad.

Distance from Maiduguri to Chad is about 90km less than the distance from Lagos to Benin city. Better yet it is like the distance from Lagos to Ogbomoso. That is how short the distance is so it makes it easy for them to cover that distance in and out.

They actually drove a bomb laden car into the building and did not enter to plant any bombs.

That was what happened. The fact is that they had a strong enough foothold in Abuja already to get bombs in, Enough comfort and peace to assemble it and rig it to a vehicle and drove freely straight for the building.

Niger on Christmas day 25th December 2019 arrested two Turkish citizens and a local collaborator as they arrived Niamey from Istanbul for trying to provide logistical support and Weapons to the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara #ISGS & #ISWAP. The local collaborator was meant to be initiated into ISWAP.

Turkey has been using the Turkish built (Build and operate) international Airport in Niger and Turkish Airline flights to smuggle in weapons to the Salafi Jihadi groups in the region.

In the latest revelation back in 2014 linking Turkey’s authoritarian President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to jihadists, it is claimed that Turkish Airlines was responsible for shipping arms to Nigeria.

In a 2014 audio recording circulating on YouTube, the assistant executive of the Turkish airline, Mehmet Karatas, allegedly told Mustafa Varank, a former adviser to Mr Erdogan, then-Turkish Prime Minister, that he felt guilty over the arms shipment to Nigeria.

“I do not know whether these [weapons] will kill Muslims or Christians. I feel sinful,” Mr Karatas was allegedly heard saying.

Fact! BH is not occupying any inch of Nigerian soil. Simply because they came to attack Biu does not mean they came from Nigeria. The distance between N'Djamena and Maiduguri is roughly 270km. N'Djamena is the capital of the largest city in Chad and BH has been operating from around Chad these days. As you can see, the distance between Maiduguri and N'Djamena is shorter than the distance from Lagos to Benin city. A lot of you are so ignorant of these things which makes you assume they actually operate from within Nigeria when they do not

You are wrong. Before this outright attacks the BH once occupied Sambisa and they took advantage of this occupation by ensuring they laid mines all over and only they know where they laid it. This initially made movement difficult for our boys and this was why we had to buy MRAPS to help out and start depending more on our Airforce.

We are on the offensive against them and this is why they have been forced to retreat to Chad and have left Sambisa. The NA are no cowards and you need to retract those words. As at this moment you should be grateful to them. They lay down their lives today so you can have a tomorrow. How dare you call such gallantry cowardice?

BH do not own any portion of Sambisa. They are currently operating from the outskirts of Nigeria around the Chad area. They make forays from there and retreat there.

If you have been watching the news you would notice that much of the NA attacks which occur there are with our airforce and this is because the terrain leading there is treacherous due to already laid mines by BH.

We have made great progressive strides with this FG and the NA and this should be encouraged. The menace of Terrorism is as good as life long but we can have it reduced to the barest minimu which is what is happening now

Nigerian soldiers and members of a vigilante successfully repelled a Boko Haram attack on Biu in Southern Borno State, an official has said.

An official of the Civilian-JTF, whose members fight alongside the military against the insurgents, told PREMIUM TIMES that 48 Boko Haram fighters were killed in the battle. The military is yet to speak on the attack.

PREMIUM TIMES Tuesday night reported how Boko Haram fighters gathered outside Biu to attack the town barely 24 hours after they were repelled by soldiers.

On Monday, the insurgents, in an attempt to attack Biu, ran over two villages on the outskirts of the town killing two persons and injuring 13 others. They were later repelled by soldiers after hours of a gunbattle on the outskirts of Biu.

The insurgents returned the next day.

At about 6 p.m. on Tuesday, residents of Biu were alerted to the gathering of suspected Boko Haram gunmen who arrived at a location near Kimba, a village a stone throw away from Biu.

Security sources who spoke with PREMIUM TIMES on phone on Tuesday said troops mobilized from different locations to confront the insurgents.

A source confirmed to this reporter Wednesday morning that the troops in Biu and the ones in Damboa converged to engage the insurgents in a shootout that lasted till the early hours of Christmas day.

Backed by operatives of the Civilian-JTF, the battle continued until “48 of the Boko Haram gunmen dropped dead while some fled with bullet injuries.”

“The operation lasted till about 4 a.m. when the soldiers and our members finished ransacking the areas for their dead bodies”, said a C-JTF operative, Muhammed Liberia, who spoke to our reporter.

“We were also able to arrest three of the Boko Haram live and they are currently with the soldiers,” he said.

The military has not issued any statement on the Biu attacks, but another public official currently in the town said normalcy had returned there.

Bulama Talba, the Press Secretary to the Borno State deputy governor, who is currently in Biu with his principal, confirmed that the attackers were repelled.

“As I am talking to you now, normal activities are going in Biu town after the soldiers have repelled the planned attack,” he said.

“We heard that the soldiers have effectively repelled the intended attack, and people are carrying on with their Christmas celebration.”

The Boko Haram insurgency in Northern Nigeria has caused over 30,000 deaths since 2009. The insurgents say they want an Islamic caliphate in Northern Nigeria.
