Okay, ladies. I know we all like our bakasis to be on point in those jeans but really tight jeans are not sexy. You want a little bit of breathing room.  When I first heard this from a stylist, I shrugged it off but once I tried it--my thighs felt relieved and I felt sexier.   kiss

Thanks a lot for the info.  I am definitely taking it to heart. And yea, I couldn't figure how you can apply glue to your hair ***though they say you apply it to your skin*** and not lose it. Anyways, I'll stick to my sew-ins. Thanks a million!

Ladies, I am in love with lace wigs.  I haven't actually tried it but I love what I have learned about it so far.  One thing that is holding me back from trying it, apart from the money, is that I don't want to lose my front hairs.  Anyone knows anything about that?  Has anyone tried it? Your thoughts, please**pics are more than welcome**
Jobs/VacanciesRe: My Embarrassing Interview Situations You Need To Learn From by Comfort86(f): 9:05pm On Nov 17, 2008
omg!  I went in to interview for Countrywide Financial and the interviewer asked, "Why do you want to work for Countrywide?"  And before I tell you my response, know that I was, at the time, a newbie in the workforce as you will obviously soon tell grin.  Anyways, I responded, "I feel that God is behind your company because you do right by your customers."  Boy!  I was in for a big surprise when I found out, months later, that Countrywide wasn't doing "right by its customers".  I'll never regret what I said because it was pure from the heart but I do regret saying in such a setting.  Oh yeah, I didn't get the job as if you didn't already know that  kiss

Fashion***my NATURAL hair*** by Comfort86(op): 8:04pm On Nov 11, 2008
Help me!  I have had natural hair for just about two years now.  I usually fix my hair so I won't have to deal with it but I think it is high time I learn--to manage it, that is.  I haven't been very successful, however. And I think the problem is I know the problem is that it lacks moisture. Black hair, or should I say African hair does not moisture very well.  With no or little moisture, the hair is subject to breakage.  That's why it may seem our hair cannot possibly grow as well as our white counterpart's; when in actuality it can and will grow to whatever length we desire if we can just get some friggin' moisture.  I have tried searching high and low for remedies and  . . . . . . . . . . yeah I'm still searching. Someone help me, please!

***p.s., if your sol'n includes shea butter, maybe you need to tell me how to use it. Do I use it when my hair is wet or when it's dry?  cry

Abeg, Chef Amaka. I wan learn how to make easy n quick stew using tomato sauce and paste.  I normally use fresh ingredients and it doesn't taste half bad; but I want to make a delicious stew using just sauce, paste, red bell pepper, and habanero. one thing i am picky about, i like my stew to have a good share of oil surfacing when finished-- it look enticing. thanks! kiss

Foreign AffairsRe: Colin Powell Endorses Barack Obama by Comfort86(f): 2:47pm On Oct 22, 2008
samorijack:
To all my African Obama lovers I have some hard truths to tell:

1. Under an Obama Presidency US Policy towards Africa will not change. Rember the US economy is in a recession (though the white house for obvious political reasons will not want to publicly admit this), this policy can only become more extractive as the US competes with China for resources and influence in Africa. Obama can do nothing about this.

2. In the business of empire building and world domination there are no gentle giants. Empires are not built by goodwill, more so as America does not have the near total hegemony it once had. It now has to deal with a resurgent Russia ( powerd principally by natural resources) and China. Brazil , South Africa and India are also making their claim for more respect. Obama can do nothng about this.

3. The fixation of Africans on American culture and politics is so ridiculous. Take the Director General of the N.S.E actively campaigning and raising funds for Obama and her really stupid defense!!! angry angry it get even more bizarre, do you know that in Benin republic their is a public holiday know as the GEORGE Bush day? this is a country with out a Kwame Nkrumah or Steven Bikko day , or even an African liberation day. Do you also know know that Nelson Mandela was only last year taken of the US State Departments list of terrorist?

4. Afica has been left behind and continues to lag behind largely because of the insincerity of it's leaders who have done more injustice to their fellow Africans than any colonial master did. If Africa is to succed an intellectual revolution must take place, that's why ofcourse "they" keep our schools underfunded and closed and open up the motor parks, Obama owes Africa nothing.

5. Africa must stop interacting with the rest of the world on the the platform of foreign aid. For this to happen we must create the conditions for a lot more African Obama's to emerge.
A bere.  Professor and such has started kiss j/k.

But really, let us elect Obama first and see what God allows him to do.
Foreign AffairsRe: Colin Powell Endorses Barack Obama by Comfort86(f): 4:17am On Oct 22, 2008
It's official: FOX is garbage.  This America sef, it can be hilarious at times.  What is wrong with a black man endorsing another black man based in part on race?  So that means Colin Powell would have endorsed Barack Obama if he and John McCain were of the same merits, right? Well that would largely help the cause so many African Africans have fought for and sadly enough, are still fighting for.  For a half-black man to win presidency in United States? That is definitely top tier.  It is high time African Americans are treated as first class citizens; as one rightfully is in his/her country of birth.  Unfortunately, it is a sad world in which some of our fellow human beings have yet to grasp the absolute knowledge that no race is superior within the human race cry.  But God dey o! cool

Oh my goodness, I just saw "If I were a boy."  I almost shed a tear there at the end when the roles were back to normal.

@Poster
I don't know how the video could damage relationships.  I would think it helps--it gives men a glance at how we hurt when we are dealt with in such manner.  Hopefully, it saves some relationships and strengthen some.

Plus it is kind@ gay considering you're a dude. There's nothing to hate about Beyonce really.
Disagree with ya. So if a guy doesn't like a fine girl means he is a gay? Please stop putting men in a box.  Whatever happened to other attributes like character, intelligence, etc?

@topic
Whatever Beyonce chooses to do is what she chooses to do. I think the themes of her earlier songs as part of Destiny's child can be damaging, at the same time do some good.
