These are the southeast leaders, they never said obi is not perfect for the job but things should always be properly done. You don't just come to a man's house and take away his son in the name of helping the family without consulting the head of the family.

Afikpo was in imo State until the creation of Abia State in 1991 and then from Abia State to Ebonyi state in 1996.
Abakaliki is the administrative headquarters of Ebonyi state. That doesn't mean that every body from the politically arranged geography is from that administrative headquarters.

This does not mean that Afikpo people are degrading Abakaliki people NO. They are Abakaliki and Afikpo is Afikpo. An Afikpo man can not leave his identity to bear another man's identity.

Op stop wasting your time dragging this issues. Even people from same Anambra State, some areas will tell you they can't marry from certain areas in Anambra that they will prefer marrying from outside Anambra.

I have stayed in awka for years, at least from my prescience days at mbaukwu till now I'm an undergraduate, an nnewi person will get very upset with you if you call him an awka person, same goes to Onitsha people but when it comes to ebonyi they tag everybody an abakaliki.
I have tried telling them I'm from Afikpo and there's a different between Afikpo and abakaliki but they wouldn't hear, maybe they feel when they call you abakaliki you will feel bad or inferior but they don't know I have passed that level, what I do is that I try to beat them in everything and many of them know this, in my class I'm well respected, I'm an exco in my department from year one, in fact we are about four ebonyi excos,both Gen Sec and assistant are from Afikpo(chemical engineering,ask around if you are in Unizik)
So I don't care what they say anymore, many of them claiming more igbo than me I taught them Gs108 and 109 in our year one which are igbo courses and some of them still failed it.

The way those abakaliki people reason is just too poor. You know when poverty has persistently assaulted some people who don't know anything about wealth management, any little money that come their way, they would want to use it to buy expensive stuff not commiserate with their status just to show off. In a short while, they will have no other option but to sell that luxury item since they can't maintain it. Common financial sense requires that people buy shoes fitting their size. Ebonyi people need to be empowered financially first before thinking of airport. Go to ebonyi, extreme poverty is killing them, the affordable means of transport in that state is bicycles and motorcycles and the stupid umahi is thinking of airport!

Umahi embarked on flyover projects many of you came here and started shouting misplaced priority without considering the terrible accident that used to happen in those junctions , he started ring road project many of still complained, he embarked on empowering the youths n widows with 250000 and many of you shouted waste of money. Before this administration abakaliki was nothing to write home about which many of you always use to insult ebonyians but visit abakaliki now and see improvement. Nigercem cement will soon commence operation courtesy of the governor yet some of you are still pained.

I think it's justifiable to tell you all to shut up and mind the business in your various states. Ebonyians are not complaining
