If you have plans traveling this August, i would advice you dont buy your tickets now, cause cost of air fares now are high

2 weeks after Easter you can begin to buy up until the end of last week of May and first week of June

Preferably you can contact your preferred travel agent to be on the lookout for you

Bros, u are really getting me confused o. In this post u advised that we don't buy tickets now and then in ur post to me u advised me to buy now.

Which one should I follow please, buy now or buy in May/June?

I have adviced you in the post before this, you can buy now if you are absolutely sure of your travel date

Thanks so much for this. I'm sure of the travel date so I will just buy my tickets now.

Could you please advice on the cheapest airline to book? I would be grateful if you could assist me in this regard. Here is my itinerary again:

One way, 2 adults, economy from Lagos to Vancouver int'l to depart 22 August 2019.

I look forward to your kind and prompt response.

Regards.

I can advise you on this, the best time to book any flight is 2 months before which is June. You should use Wakanow to check for cheapest flights, you don't particularly need to buy tickets through Wakanow, but they are the best in comparing prices all over. So Just compare prices then go over to the main Airline's website & pay. Do you get?

https://www.wakanow.com/en-ng/flights/

Anyway, I am also interested in getting a little info about your school in Vancouver, particularly the tuition. I expect your response.

Thanks for your response. I actually thought it would be cheaper to buy ticket now given that there's a longer time to the travel date. I just hope d fares won't go up by May/June.

The school is Thompson Rivers University, a total tuition of 36,000cad with a deposit of 9,500cad for an MBA. The fees quoted are for 2017/2018 academic year but I deferred my resumption to fall 2019. U can Google the school for current tuition.

Cheers!

Congratulations.
Pls I am planning applying for SOWP for wife and children after securing my own TRV and have few questions.
1.Do I just submit SOP for spouse alone or still write additional one to support her own application.
2.Can I just transfer all the funds to her account for SOA or I still need to provide my account statement?
3.Kids are ages 4 and 6. What type of Visa do I apply for them.

Thank you.
1.

Hi,

My response to your questions are as follows:
1. We submitted two SOP/LOE - one for the applicant and the other for spouse to support the application (I did this for my husband)
2. It's important that she has the required amount in her account being the applicant. It's also good for you to have some funds in your account, if you are submitting it. Although, i don't know if this is IRCC requirement but I did it and it worked.
3. I have no response to q3 as i don't have kids yet.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for sharing this testimony.

Many don't take this approach, mostly when the one with the study permit landed in Canada. My wife is the prospective study permit applicant (PhD), we intend to use this your approach considering our little darling daughter.
Please, what are the supporting documents that we can attach?

Hello,

Please see list of documents submitted in support of my hubby's SOWP application:

• Birth Certificate and Police Clearance Certificate
• Detailed Resume
• LOE containing info on family background, reasons for applying for sowp, career history, travel history and financial resources
• IELTS Test Result
• Sworn Affidavit and police report for loss of International passport (This was included because he lost his int'l passport that contained his valid and expired visas and stamps to USA, UK, Dubai and SA)
• Letter of Employment and work ID Card

• Visa Page and Stamps on new passport
• Statement of Account (Operating & Salary Account)

WIFE'S DOCUMENTS

• Proof of tuition deposit for course registration
• Copy of school's admission Letters (Old and New)
• Passport Data Page
• Canada Visa Page and Correspondence Letter for Study Permit
• Other Visas and Stamps on passport (This was provided to show that we have always been travelling together so Canada cannot separate us)
• Letter of Employment and Work ID Card
• Payslips from current Employer
• Statement of Account (Operating & Salary) with a balance of N1.6m in both accounts
• Introduction Letter from Current Employer confirming wife's study leave
• Pension Fund Statement and Tax Card

Hello, I've been a silent reader on this thread but i decided to share my testimony with the house to encourage someone.

I applied and got my study permit approved in September 2018 after I had deferred my school admission to September 2019.

On 19 October 2018, my husband submitted his SOWP application (online route) contrary to many people's opinion that SOWP can't be granted when the spouse has not been enrolled or has not resumed school in Canada.

Unfortunately for us, he got refused on 19 November 2018 for failure to submit evidence of LMIA or LMIA exemption. We then responded to the VO by referencing a CIC link where it was clearly stated that LMIA is not required for SOWP.

A new application (paper route) was submitted on 23 November 2018 and his permit was approved on 14 February 2019, best val gift ever!

We will both be going to Canada in August 2019. It has ended in praise las las!!!

You may not need to send your SSCE in my opinion and based on my personal experience with WES. Read my reply to similar question in the last two page. Though I'm no expert in WES.

Thanks for your response. I saw ur message and I'll try that. I hope it works for me.

I hope this will encourage someone:

22nd Sept - Submitted online application
3rd October - Invited for medical
15th October - Did medical at IOM Abuja
21st October - Medical Passed
Waited to 6 weeks. One of the longest waiting time of my life
29th November - Biometric correspondence letter
30th November - Original Passport request
3rd December - Submitted passport at VFS Abuja
18th December - Correspondence letter
19th December - Passport ready for collection

Document Submitted
Apart from the normal compulsory document, i also submitted:
- Proof of financial support: 9.2m, self sponsor, 4 months
- My pension scheme financial contribution for 6 months
- Letter of Introduction from the company i work with stating that i work with them and have worked for certain number of years. The letter didn't state that i was going to school.
- Statement of purpose: I hadn't joined nairaland before i submitted my application. So, my SOP was purely from my own thoughts. It was a 1 and half page SOP. I just stated why i wanted to study in canada and why i wanted to study Electrical and Computer engineering. Last year, I was denied visa because of insufficient fund. This year, i applied to another school with a lower tuition fees. I also stated it in my SOP why i was moving from school A to school B and why i believe that i could get better quality of education in school B. Seriously, I don't believe in exchanging SOP's from one person to another. Before you know it, we are all writing similar thing and grammar to VO's. Remember plagiarism is not tolerated over there. Just sit down and get your unique SOP. Give me the guidline and let me develop it myself. Well, this is purely my idea. i stand to be corrected
- Landed Property: Well, i bought one of those village lands in Abuja without CofO. I just attached the letter of agreement from the village chief.

Document not submitted
- Police report
- Tuition fee receipt. I haven't paid tuition fees yet

Finally, Pray, pray and pray. Then, crown it with thanksgiving. We can't thank Him enough but we can thank Him some more. For me, this is the most important thing.

I hope this helps.

Congratulations.

Pls which school and what course. Will truly appreciate your response.

Thanks.

Hello seniors in the house. Please I have a question concerning my credential evaluation with WES. I completed evaluation of my first degree and ACCA certificate in February 2018. At this time, my final secondary school result was not required.

I completed my MBA this December and I intend to evaluate with WES but I was required to send my NECO transcript. My question is;

Can I use other evaluating body to evaluate my MBA or must it be WES because I used WES for my other certificates?

I'm asking because I'm trying to avoid the stress and cost of going to NECO to lobby for my transcript to be sent to WES.

I will appreciate your kind and prompt response.

Thanks.

Someone helped with my process so I might not be able to state the exact amount but this is the process as summarised by the person that assisted me:

Process and Requirements

1)Visit NECO office in Illupeju, Lagos. Go with a photocopy of your NECO Certificate and possibly the WES academic Request form (I don't think this form is necessary but I gave a completed form to the person that assisted me)
2)You will be given a remita account number to make a deposit of about N1,500 in a selected bank
3)Then you would be required to pay another N20,000 plus (Not sure exactly what the breakdown is for but it includes Courier to WES, Postage to Minna and NECO Scratch card).
4) NECO will first send the information to Minna (their head office), afterwards forward the transcript to WES

Please ensure that they inscribe your WES Reference number on the envelope and also get the tracking number for the courier.

Many thanks for the detailed info. You are so kind.

Hello Everyone,

Pre-ITA clarification

NECO has supposedly sent my transcript to WES, however when i used the tracking number forwarded to me by NECO to trace my transcript, i realized that the destination was New York and my document has been delivered and signed for by: M GUMBS

P.S I filled out the Academic request form provided by WES correctly and submitted same to NECO and the SMS received from NECO specified that the tracking number was for Canada.

Has anyone experienced this too?

Hello,

I wish to use WES for my evaluation and I need to submit my NECO transcript, could you please assist with the process, requirements and the phone number of your contact person at NECO office.

Will really appreciate your help.

Thanks

- Uncle's account statement ($24K) and financial support letter
- Friend's Company account statement (N86m) and financial support letter
- University Admission deposit receipt ($500) and online application payment receipts ($145 this year & $130 few years back)
- Retirement Savings Account statement (N2.3m)
- My Registered Company CAC Document

Supporting Documents:

Observation: Does the CIC come for physical background checks? About 2 people came to the house shortly when my status changed to "Background checks is in progress" to ask my wife questions.

It shall ALL end in praise for those waiting IJN. Amen.

In addition, to submit assessment as an internal auditor with VETASSES, be very thorough with your job descriptions.

Match your descriptions action for action with the ANZSCO descriptions and also ensure you read VETASSES' instructions on their website.

For that occupation, you need at least 80 points due to the competition in the number of applicants.

Goodluck.

Thanks so much oga bellog. Pls can I pm you to help review my JD for alignment with vetasses requirement.

Good day All,

I'm new here and I appreciate the explicit information being provided by the gurus. I have been reading from Part 1 of this thread but yet to find answers to my questions.

I intend to apply for PR as principal applicant and obtain the available 5 point for my hubby. However, I'm an internal auditor with ANZSCO Code 221214 and my hubby is a Fund Manager with ANZSCO Code 222312, can we possibly get a full skill assessment from VETASSES and submit EOI with me as the principal applicant while still claiming the 5 point from my hubby? I'm asking because we do not have the same ANZSCO Code and I don't know how this works.

I will appreciate your kind and prompt response.
