Doing protests against bad decisions or laws is a right of every individual. Some protests are harmful to self or the adversary but it ultimately draws awareness to the issue being disputed by the public community. People go on hunger strikes to protest in some situations. It’s harmful to them but they believe it will accomplish an ultimate goal. A sit at home is a harmless way to protest except you are the government losing billions in your economy because of it on that particular day |
With 10k you can reach Benin Republic through Cotonou border. Just do your ecowas passport and go to mile2 to enter bus. |
Gentlerespect76:Gentlerespect76 Sergio101 Stop arguing wit that guy. He’s a small boy who just wrote jamb but hasn’t seen his results yet. Check his previous posts and mentions and you’d see. |
Paxxcarl:Because your own popsi and mumsi don already kpai abi? Oloshi |

Eiyahh! You no get any comeback? Shebi you say you Sabi yab? I know say na you be the op. Na your second moniker be dis na why my initial post been pain you wella. Mugu Dundee |
Paxxcarl:Yeah but Only maggots and flies know exactly where to find the shits to swim in. you’ve had a nice swim so you can now Buzz off of my mentions. zzzzzzzzzzzzz |
Paxxcarl:Ode stop lying on a public forum. Many people here have more sense than you. |
lucaschukwuka:You lie. If you indeed made a mistake of wasting a whooping N600k on an item as superficial as a phone then you’d be looking for who to dash it to or throw it away than trying to sell it off for less than 5% of the amount you spent. |
Abba kyari is now the top actor in the next coming to America movie ![]() |
Is it a part of their official or ceremonial uniform? Why would our military top shots be acting like they all developed serious arthritis at the peak of their careers? This trend is somehow, Nigeria is the only country I know that allows this. It looks wrong to me because it portrays our military top shots as being incapacitated or weak. Abi is it ‘denge-pose’? Bugga? I don’t know if I’m the only one who finds it distasteful. |
Felicity001:It isn’t a coolant sir. It is an automatic transmission external oil cooler. Something like a small mini radiator in front of your engine which cools your gearbox oil. The number one killer of automatic gearboxes is an overheating transmission oil, followed by driving with a low level transmission fluid. The instances where your transmission fluid could overheat is when you’re towing (that is why big trucks and suvs like Ford F-150 have them installed from factory) or when you live in a hot climate and spend time moving upandan mostly in slow traffic then maybe if you have a history of an overheating engine (if your transmission fluid hoses were linked to your cars radiator for cooling or warming purposes from factor like most 4cyl honda vehicles). Keeping your transmission fluid warm at a moderate temperature is good for proper functioning of the many gearbox components and it ensures you have proper shifts. An overheating fluid damages the fluid properties and degrades it so much so that it starts to affect your clutches thereby making you have harsh shifts between gears or ultimately a slipping gearbox. Below are pictures of mounting ideas for an external transmission fluid cooler and the cooler itself. These are for those who wish to mount theirs with an extra cooling fan (good for cooling off your fluids in long and stressful traffic holdups where you leave your vehicle running with ac on like for Uber). You can mount yours without a fan but I’d recommend a fan just to be sure you have your transmission happy all the time.
|
IFSHR:your gear oil is overheating. change it with an original oem brand asap. and for other drivers in the house, if you know you want to use your car for uber for up to 2 years steadily and not have to worry about your gearbox solenoids and lubrication for that period and far longer than that then i suggest you invest in an EXTERNAL GEARBOX OIL COOLER and maybe an extra mini fan for it for those times your are stuck in traffic for hours. |
Gentlelife50:crowd mentality.... the bane of the nigerian society |
berbs112:there is a component in your under hood fuse box called an Electronic Load Detector (ELD) and this is what i believe is causing the issues with your ride. the bad news is that the ELD is very very difficult to change out of thefuse box by itself which willfinally require you to purchase a totally new or tokumbo fuse box to solve your problem. |
Felicity001:N1.7m for a tokumbo Prius is still cheaper than its Corolla counterpart and of course the only reason why people sell off their Prius is MOSTLY because it’s having electrical issues not engine or suspension or gearbox etc problems. Auto electrical issues though daunting can be troubleshooted by a competent mechanic who knows his onions. That 2010 and above Prius is overkill for Uber here. I’d do an older model first even if it might come with slightly degraded batteries |
Felicity001: baba some people been Dey talk say bubu don kpai since naw lol so we no fit Dey put him name join discussions wey concern living or survival again for now |
VaselineCrew:Lol baba you have to be objective when reasoning these things that concern electricity in Nigeria. Even here people like to buy android phones with big big battery capacity and add power bank join just to beat our epileptic power supply situation in Nigeria. But concerning electric vehicles and ‘unbelievers’ well you have a point. I myself believe in electric vehicles for personal use in Nigeria BUT NOT FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES YET still due to nepa wahala here. But check it, a Tesla, Nissan Leaf etc has an average total range of ~300-400 kilometers on a full battery. In a day how many kilometers do you think an Uber driver in Lagos covers? If it is around this same range then I guess charging your vehicles overnight would help you cover working for the next day if you fight the urge to be driving without a passenger all the time. For this reason I’d definitely consider buying an EV. Finally my issue would be recharging the vehicle. Nepa is not certain. Using a generator defeats the purpose of the vehicle and even if you purchased a ‘fast charging station’ I’d never wager on Nepa allowing you use it effectively. I am a believer in taking baby steps before leaping. I’d do a hybrid before an EV here in Nigeria |
VaselineCrew: ![]() Hybrids are generally cheaper than Corolla in Nigeria today. Leave electric vehicles for now till our federal government repairs Nepa |
FuckEveryday:I know I’d invest in ride share here one day soon either by driving by myself part time or leasing out a vehicle but I can never ever buy that corolla. See the vehicles on my wishlist for the job below: Toyota prius Honda Civic hybrid Honda Insight If you like call me crazy but highest id import parts from USA to change defective ones and sacrifice two weeks of downtime. The fuel utilization of these cars engines is out of this world tori-olorhun and as at today mechanics are working on hybrids in Lagos. Nigerians naturally are a ‘crowd mentality‘ specie of human beings. Corolla was the norm everywhere until dru23 opened Nairaland guys eyes to civic then it became the new rave. Bet me when I start using my future hybrid and give feedback here you’d see a mad rush for that kind of vehicle from Uber drivers starting from here on Nairaland |
XGhost:Exactly ! It really made me sad to see people discouraging that guy to take his 2010 Kia Rio to delta. Imagine, just to Delta oh somewhere near here. Highest 4 - 5 hour journey even with traffic. I’ll still say it again. with good radiator, cooling fans and relays, oil pump and tires any car can go anywhere. The only advantage bigger engine or chassis cars have over smaller ones is speed and balance. The advantage the small engine and body cars have over larger ones is mpg and ‘snaking through traffic ‘ |
FuckEveryday:See bros, doing Uber in obodo oyibo is a full time job. There people do ride share and cover distances that make them go on just one trip and net an equivalent of N100k in a day and go home to rest. Their land is vast and road networks is superb. Google map or wayze is their paddi as all roads are mapped accordingly. That place isn’t like Nigeria where people look down on some hustles as low level. Over there even plumbing jobs cost an arm and a leg compared to our pricing here. Plumbers there drive the latest cars and live very comfortable lives sending their kids to awesome schools. Nigeria is blessed with a huge population, diverse natural resources, dependable external allied nations and a relatively small enough landmass to manage. Our only problem are these leaders who refuse to pass the baton to the people once touted to be the ‘leaders of tomorrow’ But by his grace we shall overcome in this our generation. Let’s just try to survive for now, very soon we shall start living |
Rasaq007:People who underrated such cars are the below types: “I be driver - I Sabi drive - I don dey drive siiince 10 years” . . . Yet dem nor dey near highway lie lie Even air cooled engine Volkswagen Beetle, Okada and Keke napep will travel highway journeys no Wahala. |
Chai imagine what zombies and bmc’s are typing above to support the dullness of their uncles. Helinues and co Allah help you guys |
bolutic:That your car will go to sokoto and come back no Wahala so far your cooling system and oil pump is working well. If you’re going to delta then you’d not encounter bad roads on your journey so I suggest you take the contract and cash out so far you know your way. One state in usa is bigger than Nigeria and folks there drive to and from work covering an average of almost 70-100 miles or more daily racking up mileage before selling it off as tokumbo to us here in Nigeria. Then you’re afraid of taking same car on a 200 kilometer journey just because you feel your car has a small stature? Even 1950’s Volkswagen Beetle goes from Lagos to east and back that year no Wahala. Come remain 2010 Kia Rio |
mrjaydee:We need to query Oxford, Webster and google for not knowing this word ![]()
|
cybertron88:Of course it will work well for Uber if it’s a well maintained car. The only issue is that the distance where a regular 4cyl will consume N100 fuel your v6 will take N130 |
XGhost:If Nigeria has a dracula policy ![]() Then safe to say that Afghanistan has the van helsing type lol ![]() Nor be everybody been pass GNS/GST without rubber neck that year sha and Nigerians naturally shy away from reading novels or books. we will overcome Today I need ibuprofen for headache from reading this thread |
McCoy662:mugu can you say it all again without crying? i doubtquota system product like you |
NOETHNICITY:Oh, so your issue with my post is not even that the federal government is losing money but that the figure I put up was exaggerated? How much was the country’s budget for this year 2021? It was in trillions abi? Now how many billions make up a trillion? Then how many days are in a year? Do you see why the quota system of education never worked well for you and your folks |
