PoliticsRe: Reno Omokri Educates A Twitter User About The Collapse Of The Aburi Accord by Conner44: 11:30pm On Dec 28, 2023
Reno is either painfully ignorant or one huge fat liar concerning this issue.

Yes there was an agreement reached in Accra and no it was not ojukwu that broke the agreement. It was Gowon who after returning to Nigeria told those who asked that there was an agreement but he lied about the specifics of that same agreement.

Okukwu confronted him about the discrepancies in his rendition of their agreement signed in Ghana to the Nigerian people but gowon said there was nothing of such between them. Gowon stood his ground concerning the twisted tales he brought back to tell his government about the aburi accord even when a few people who were present at the discussion pointed out his lies to him.

This forced ojukwu to go back to retrieve a copy of the meeting in accra which he clandestinely recorded (nobody present at the aburi accord meeting knew they were being recorded by ojukwu) and he went to broadcast the meeting on national radio for all the citizens of Nigeria to listen to thereby bursting Gowons claim that his own version of the aburi accord agreement was true.

That move by ojukwu playing the full recording to the Nigerian people exposed Gowon for the liar that he was and thereby sparked outrage within the then Eastern region plus other people from surrounding regions who stood on the path of truth also berated Gowon for lying nonchalantly to the country. Gowon then became restless and ashamed of what he had done thereby prompting him to divide and create more regions in order to douse the rising tension created from the fallout of his white lies to the nation.

Reno Omokiri should sit down with elderly people in his village and ask questions. How dare him twist such important history just because he wants to gain political favor from the present government.

Unless he spoke from a point of ignorance I believe this guy has very bleak ulterior motives for his recent behaviour on social media and should be cautioned properly before he causes something he can not control.

Hmmm
Like I said before, I understand some cars TCU(transmission controlling unit) does not communicate with the ECM, so the cheap scanner would not be able to pull TCU related codes.
But for that 7th gen Honda accord it’ll pull any transmission related code (p0700-p0999) cause ECM and TCU are connected.
Also understand that elm 327 has fakes as well.
Makes sense. Maybe the ones I've come across are the fakes hence my reason for losing total faith in all of them

Namzy:
I use one and it can scan some transmission related codes.
I wouldn't trust those cheap elm scanners for the any other system than the vehicle's engine. They only show generic gearbox codes.

Example if our human body was a vehicle's gearbox system and we were to scan it for problem codes the below is what it will show you . . .

If there is an issue with the smallest toe on your left leg and scan with that elm scanner it will only show you a code for LEG , it won't narrow it down to the specific leg or toe causing the issue.

If there is an issue with your ring finger it will only show you a code for HAND , it won't narrow it down to the specific arm or finger causing the issue.

If there is an issue with your right eye and scan with that elm scanner it will only show you a code for HEAD , it won't narrow it down to tell you if its your eye, ear, nose or brain causing the issue.

So as you can see, using such a scanner for troubleshooting gearbox faults is going to be a very long thing undecided except you're a specialised mechanic already.

Stop chest beating, the reason why Yoruba don’t travel much is because of the proximity within South West. Why will someone board a flight from Lagos to Ogun , Ibadan or OnDo?
Please kindly give me statistics of igbos travels within the East I’m waiting….
All the airports in the southwest are moribund except for those in lagos, why? Don't diaspora peeps that return via lagos or Abuja take flights to their hometown?

Oh I forgot . . . All yorubas claim to be from lagos so no need for the airports in Ogun, osun and ekiti to be functional.

Well said.

But please do you mind recommending a scanner (Not the advanced industrial type) that can read both engine & gear faults especially for EOD.

I'll really appreciate this.
Find and buy the Autel AP200 bluetooth scanner as it is the cheapest unit I know that has the most useful functions for the maintenance of your vehicle. It can scan the engine, gearbox, ABS and SRS systems plus you can use it to clone your lost car keys if or whenever the unfortunate event occurs.

First time car owner. Honda EOD 2003. Any advice please. Tell me what I need to know.
First things first. Have a way to check your fault codes whenever they should pop up (cause they will) and at that time if you're lacking basic information about your accords problem your mechanic might unknowingly make your problem worse.

Buy a scan tool that can check and read your accords engine and gearbox malfunction codes. Most people buy the mostly seen cheap Bluetooth types that can't read gearbox codes, don't be like them.

If you're very DIY inclined and feel adventurous then you can speak with your accords brainbox for all its fault codes without spending a dime on scanners of any sort.

This in my opinion is the first thing you should do to make the life you'd spend with your accord better.

Car TalkRe: What Is The Law On Overtaking Police Convoy? Was I Wrong? by Conner44: 11:22am On Dec 10, 2023
This stuff happens mostly on the highway. If it's your first time coming upon such a motorcade you'd obviously want to overtake them and then have an experience.

First time this stuff happened to me was from onitsha to agbor. 3 hilux only with like 4 guys in the last vehicle, spreading across the full free road just driving anyhow. At first when we got to a hill facing upwards I saw my chance and married the edge of the right side of the road and gunned the pedal.

Those vehicles immediately started doing the zig zaging and I instinctively matched brake pedal in order not to hit their bumper swearing furiously in my mind at the driver only to look up and discover that all of the guys on the back had since raised and were pointing their guns directly at me in a very threatening manner.

I just chop the humble pie with my overloaded 3mz sienna and followed them at 70kmph from then onwards till they branched off the highway. One particular one of them will sometimes stand up and raise his gun pointing it at me and start shaking it, gesturing like he's saying PA - PA - PA (like how kids do when they point sticks at each other and jerk it to signify shots being fired) The guy did it to me like four times along that journey.

I just dey watch am from like around 8 to 10 cars back dey hide my face. It is only those who seldom travel by road that haven't encountered these type of things.

Me I've decided not to discuss politics here. There's no gain. I wish he would stop it too and focus on issues as it affects drivers here in a bid to encourage and not discourage them.

The country is harder now than it was when he escaped to congo. He should not make confusion hold people who have decided to gove this hustle a try. He should find one or two tidbits to assist and not tell them to face something else. There's no business on earth that would be profitable for everybody who puts hand inside. It can favor Mr. A and be a disaster for Mr. B, that's how this world works.

I no wan talk before but I think I should, Pearl is always doing that stuff because he gives out cars on rentals and his clients are mostly from this thread.

1. To woo drivers

2. To keep his current drivers on their toes
What stuff is this that you say pearl always does?

And concerning his 'wooing new drivers and keeping the currents on their toes' I don't think we cam fault him for that. Personally I think we need someone who can do what he usually does to motivate other drivers on this thread.

Many people need help in understanding the hustle especially with today's economic realities. Its too bad that some of us here banded together to chase those who were great motivators away from this thread. Maybe with time we can get such people to come here and make their opinions available for all of us to gleam something from.

This is nice coming from you. I knew that after using the former vehicle you used and taking this current one you will definitely be convinced that your former vehicle was not fuel efficient.

Now that you've realised your current vehicle is doing fine mpg wise it's now time to draw up a personalised tactic you will be utilising to get good trips that won't make you waste much fuel during trip selection. If others can do it then so can you.

Bro, the below culvert/road i spoke about before has finally been blocked off.

At the same alakija (just after passing the bridge descent heading towards mile2) where a section of the road demarcation (culvert) had been taken off to enable motorists leave the service lane and join the middle lane going towards Orile direct.
Same as the others you usually jam after every 200 - 200 meters on Gmap at places like barracks, agric, etc before cheesy

Liver kwa? Come there to do what?. There's nothing attractive in that axis..
I understand your view perfectly and its entirely your opinion which you are right to have wink

Fact is I didn't put up that detail for you, I put it up to dispel the insinuation that there weren't any detours or roads available to exit that express road. It wouldn't be useful to you but I know that the many other ANTs that will be moving lagos steady this season and onwards will need such information to make good decisions while picking lucrative trips on their apps which you decide to ignore cool

Plus what seems attractive to you might not be so to the next pilot. Some go on trips just because the money involved is worth it while others (like you) might be taking trips to some locations based on say the roads are paved with gold or huge mansions and sky scrappers with street lights adorn the sidewalks and the women all walk around with mini skirts along that axis (I am assuming this is your own definition of an area being attractive)

So baba chill, nobody will ever beg you to come this way. This way no need you tongue make una dey that una way make we dey our own kiss

Same thing with linking PPL from the middle lane

So if one isn't familiar with the route and you dey depend on map OYO!

Also the road on the service lane after trade fair enroute mile 2 is now worse
Potholes everywhere
See baba, all these places you've highlighted in your post above are not legal. They are spots and areas where the road demarcations were removed solely to ease the flow of traffic on that axis during the periods when the road construction was still ongoing around those locations. Of course you should not expect those areas to be left open long after said construction has been finished and the engineers have moved on further down the road and you should not expect Google map to realize it on time hence the reason why you're always running into big-big stones after hearing 200 meters ahead grin

The so called map I gave you in my prior post is the government verified road network available for motorists who wish to take a detour when on that route. It will be available for use both in reality and on Google map even till the next 50 years to come. It is part of the master plan the government and ecowas had for that road so nothing can close it down. The only thing that can happen is if they create new roads and detours along there but I fear they will have to demolish peoples buildings to achieve such a feat.

So try to memorise the information I gave you earlier. It will be useful to you for decades to come unless you don't see yourself coming along this way again for the rest of your life.

And concerning the bad patch of road you spoke of near trade fair . . . Mehn, so the only bad portion of road (highest 5 meters long) all the way from alaba to orile is the single reason you want to write the whole full express off? shocked

I understand you don't like driving this way but abeg sofly-sofly dey find fault with the location. There are hundreds of worse roads in this same lagos but surprisingly you'd have no problems transversing same just because you're already comfortable with those axis undecided

The complexity is relative. Do you know that if one was to write and highlight all the detours and turns just between costain roundabout straight to that jibowu bridge via ojuelegba it would take almost a full page here? grin Of course It won't seem complex to you then because you're already conversant with that axis/stretch of road wink
