Romance / Re: Should I Accept My Sister's Husbands Marriage Proposal? by conscienceman4(m): 9:07am On Jan 22, 2022
Are you from a useless family? Because that is the only reason that will make you accept that unthinkable proposal.
NovesaTillie:
Please I need only matured minds on this.
It's a serious matter.

My elder sister and her husband were married for 5 years and separated November last year but not divorced yet, though the families have been trying to reconcile them to come back together but my sister's husband has been adamant about it.

I noticed that ever since his separation from my sister he started visiting my place and now it has become frequent. I allowed it because I see him as a brother but now I am starting to really enjoy his company. He has been helping me out with stuffs and still maintains his kindness towards my parents.

He proposed marriage to me yesterday and I have been confused. I will be 30 by February 2nd.
Should I accept his proposal?

You see the problem with this generation of no understanding of those separated unto God.
If it's a native doctor that they didn't touch, his things weren't taken, they will agree easily that he has a strong juju.
God knows His own. If you like carry bible up and down, jump around the altar of churches. If you don't follow the instruction of God, the things that happens to those not in Christ will happen to you.

Science/Technology / Re: The Animal Or Snake That Sounds Like A Rooster At Night by conscienceman4(m): 4:38pm On Sep 17, 2021
TRULY THOSE BIG COBRAS EXIST.
AND THE SNAKE YOU ARE REFERRING TO AS RATTLESNAKES IS NOT CALLED RATTLESNAKE BUT PUFF ADDER, WHICH IS THE ONE IN AFRICA.
THREE INSTANCES WHERE THE SNAKE THAT MAKES THE ROOSTER SOUND WAS KILLED THAT I PERSONALLY KNOW OF.
LET IT BE KNOWN THAT IT IS A VERY VERY DANGEROUS AND FEARFUL SNAKE EVEN WHEN IT'S DEAD IN A TRAP.
AN IN-LAW OF OURS FROM MY MATERNAL SIDE WENT FOR NIGHT FISHING WHEN IT CAME AFTER HIM, HE WAS A CARPENTER, WHAT SAVED HIM WAS THAT HE NOTICED ITS PRESENCE IN TIME, BECAUSE ONCE YOU'RE CLOSE TO ITS ENVIRONMENT ESPECIALLY IN THE NIGHT, IT MUST COME AFTER YOU. SO HE CLIMBED A FALLEN TREE THAT PART WAS IN THE WATER, SO WHEN THE SNAKE CAME MOVING BESIDE AND RUBBING ITSELF AGAINST THE TREE TO GET ITS PREY, MY IN-LAW, HE STRUCK WITH HIS WELL SHAPEN CUTLASS AND SUCCEEDED IN KILLING IT.
SECONDLY, ONE OF OUR FAMILY FRIENDS TRAP CAUGHT ONE, HE HAD TO RUN AWAY IMMEDIATELY, CALLED A SET OF GUYS BACK TO THE FOREST WHERE IT WAS KILLED.
THE THIRD ONE, MEN, I SAW WHERE IT WAS CAUGHT IN A TRAP, DEAD BUT FEARFUL, BIG LIKE A 4 INCHES PIPE. PLEASE WHEREVER YOU HEAR THAT ROOSTER SOUND, KEEP OFF.
FINALLY, THE PUFF ADDER, ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS SNAKE IN AFRICA. IT DOESN'T HUNT LIKE COBRA OR PYTHON BUT IT'S FOOD WALKS DIRECTLY INTO IT.THIS IS ACHIEVED MY THE MIMICRY SOUND OF CHARACTERISTICALLY CLUCKING. BY DOING THIS IT'S PREY WALKS DIRECTLY INTO IT, WHERE IT IS ALWAYS TOO LATE FOR IT TO ESCAPE. IT HAS A PIN ON ITS HEAD THAT IS VERY POISONOUS, STEPPING ON IT BY HUMAN OR ANIMAL IS DEATH. WHILE IT SLEEPS, IT COILS ROUND AND PLACES ITS HEAD ON TOP.

DON'T DOUBT THE EXISTENCE OF THE ROOSTER HEAD COBRA.

Politics / Re: Guinea Coup: Seun Osewa Reacts by conscienceman4(m): 10:40am On Sep 07, 2021
Very poor reasons.
Today in Nigeria, military men are being killed like flies because of failures in those leaders entrusted with democracy.
Sectionalizing and tribalism is the order of the day because leaders see the share numbers of their people as a force to drive home any evil plots.
When democracy is hijacked and leaders starts misbehaving, you expect everyone to misbehave also, because we are in a democracy.
When democracy is hijacked along with all institutions that guides democracy by bad leaders, everyone will not become bad because it is democracy. In Nigeria today, no politician can move from point A to point B without Security forces.
Innocent citizens are being killed "up and down" without a solution.
Any government that is entrenched through manipulations in the name of democracy should be called to order, it has no respect for the constitution in the first place.
People are deprived of their rights and nobody says anything. The same right that the constitution bestows that should be celebrated under democratic dispensation.
People are oppressed, cheated, deprived, shortchanged, kidnapped, killed, tribally blacklisted and so on and so forth and the international communities playing politics with all these things with no improvement.
Then from one small corner, a young man now thinks outside the box, the box of constitution, and the whole world is shouting democracy.
May the Almighty God deliver the African man from the African mind to be able to practice democracy.
Religion / Re: Sack Of Winners Pastors: Can God ‘Uncall’ The ‘Called’? by conscienceman4(m): 3:23pm On Jul 25, 2021
Penguin2:
I left this till today that is Sunday before I ask this question so that we, the body of Christ, can deliberate on it.

Last week, the entire media space was awash with the news of the sack of about 38 pastors by Living Faith Ministries Worldwide aka Winners Chapel.

Those who broke the news claim the pastors were sacked because they were not financially fruitful but Bishop Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the church, in a counter, claimed the pastors were sacked because they were not spiritually fruitful; they were not winning souls.

But does either of the reason justify the sacking of a pastor?

I ask this because before someone is called a pastor, it is supposed that there must have been some calling from God. A voice must have spoken to him. Like some inner prompting must have occurred that made such a person decide to answer the call.

Now, when that person decided he wanted to answer that calling under Winners Chapel, I’m sure some sort of screening occurs for all applicants and the successful candidates are subjected to some period of training.

At the training or during the training, the candidates, I suppose, should be made to understand the word of God better, understand the church’s tradition, philosophy and theology. But most importantly, the calling of the candidates is subjected to test to determine if they were truly called by God or if the voice they heard was that of Satan or the yearning for the material accompaniments that comes with being a pastor.

Now, at the end of the training period, successful candidates, who passed those tests, are consecrated as pastors. At this point, the candidate should now enjoy all the benefits of his office and some security of vocation being that his calling has been vetted.

In the Catholic Church, at the completion of your seminary training, you are ordained ‘a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek’. Nothing you do will ever make you stop being a priest; whether you are not financially fruitful or not winning souls.

Well, that’s the Catholic Church. But isn’t that the template that the training of pastors for organized religious institution like Winners Chapel should take?

Or do you think that God can ‘uncall’ the ‘called’?

Penguin is a bird of reason!

Family / Re: Well, She Called Off Our Wedding. by conscienceman4(m): 6:48am On Jul 25, 2021
don4real18:
Some months ago, I was supposed to get married to a lovely lady (Alias-Celia) whom I thought the universe made just for me. I find it unfortunate that this beautiful story was just never meant to be. This write-up is my story.
______________________________________________
Five years ago, while we both stared at the moon sitting in my compound and telling tales of our childhood, I studied her profile. She had a perfect-shaped jaw with rounded edges, full lips, and her ability to smile with so much ease. Her skin glowed against the moonlight, and her aura filled with so much innocence. It was no surprise when I finally popped the question asking her to be my girlfriend.

Four days later, I got a yes as her reply, and it became a beautiful relationship. Our companionship was a show of true love, or so I thought. She taught me to be a better kisser, and I made her be a better lover. We did almost everything together, and when challenges came, we solved them even though she was stubborn; A bit more than me.

Many moons down the line of love and sometimes distrust, she was to relocate to the FCT, the state where her family resides. I knew I was going to miss her, and it wasn't easy letting her go.

We did part ways at the airport, and ever since then, we were always on calls. I did notice later that I did most of the calling, and as time went on as it must, the regular calls became once in a while, and soon, it became longer.

I did play a little with other girls and tried getting into a relationship with others, but it just didn't work out. Perhaps, I wanted the kind of love that they could not give in return. It was no surprise when years later, my calls with Celia became regular and, I didn't mind doing most of the calling.

Soon, I traveled to Abuja, and she didn't seem enthusiastic about seeing me, even though my love clawed at my heart with a renewed burst of energy. This time, I decided that I wouldn't let go. I stayed in FCT for a while, I met her family, and I guess her feelings returned.

I returned to Lagos to continue working, and some months down the line, I was in Abuja again to see the one that I loved. We agreed that she would have to come to Lagos, and some months after I left Abuja, she arrived in the rowdy Lagos.

She met my family, and I popped the question, "will you marry me?" in a romantic atmosphere, and she was so happy that she was going to spend the rest of her life with me.

We made plans until the event of Corona took place, and it greatly affected my business. I became broke, but that didn't stop me from traveling to 3 different states to meet her family members and her pastor in FCT.

We did agree that we were going to have a small wedding, and the day of the introduction came, and I traveled with my family, spent a lot of money on hotel bills, etc. It did go well, and that was when it started.

She reneged on our agreement on the size of the wedding. She told me that she wanted to have her dream wedding although she had no money. I could not bring myself to spend so much on a wedding only to end up eating hand to mouth in my marriage. It became a back and forth argument. Her dad wanted it small, but her siblings wanted it big. My mum did try to advise her, but she felt my mum shouldn't have a say in her wedding being a supposed generation Z.

I did have to look for ways she would be happy without spending too much. Then the counseling issue came, and I was informed to come back to Abuja by her pastor. It was inconvenient, so I told her to recommend virtual counseling because I'm not ready to go and spend a lot staying there. She was mad at my response, saying that it was disrespectful, suggesting such to a supposed man of God, making it disrespectful to God.

I did try to let her know that we could use the money to do something else, but she was adamant. After some time, I did succumb to her demand, but she felt that it should not have led to an argument in the first place and decided to call the wedding off. I tried calming her down and even suggested that we postpone it, but she wouldn't budge with a reason so petty. It hurt at first. It made me lose focus for a while, but I guess I've pretty patched up now hence my decision to share with you all.

God bless us all.

She even disrespected her father.
What do you think she will do to you?
She's started already.
Let her go.
