i dunno why you expect someone as daft as ibime to have foresight. . . . . .the persistence of drogba/lampard is one of the reasons chelsea have only won just one league title in the last 4 seasons. by now, regeneration should have started. chelsea were leading 4-0 at half time. there's nothing wrong with villas-boas giving the kids a run-out from the 60th minute - that 30 mins league experience would matter later in the future.

yet, you guys continue to wonder how fergie regenerates his team time after time.

it depends on tottenham's line up
if redknapp plays his dynamic 5 midfielders behind adebayor, arsenal would be destroyed!

lennon didn't make it, he would have eaten your brazilian left back. . .
without lennon or any traditional winger calling the shots for spurs on the right, the game would end in a score draw or a slim margin victory for tottenham!

United coulnt beat Rangers but beat Chelsea and Marseille.Tell me how Chelsea equates to a Euro giant.
chelsea aren't european giants? do you know how many times chelsea have reached the semis in europe since roman's era?
can bayern munich beat any chelsea side since the roman revolution? not even dayokanu would be that confident of his team beating chelsea any given time in the last 7 years!

Ask me what Marseille has done in Europe for almost 2 decades for it to be considered an achievement to beat them.
you have to beat what is in front of you - united have beaten bigger clubs than marseille.

I am a chief complainer.I agree, because I won't be deceived by attractive wing/forward play but silly midfield players like Anderson who you proclaim is the star of this United side.
https://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Football/Pix/pictures/2011/10/1/1317484638407/Manchester-United-v-Norwi-003.jpg

anderson never hides and statistics never lie.
2 goals and 1 assist in as many as 7 appearances this season - not too bad for a player you consider shyte - considering the fact no other central midfielder has done the same.

anderson is the only player that attacks and defends. fletcher has been horrible since he came back from his injuries.
i have not seen fletcher boss the midfield.

his quality tackles have faded off, he has not made a brilliant through pass all season and he doesn't retain possession. anderson is the only beast in the midfield with quality passes, holds the play and he covers for others when they go on rampage.

until cleverley gets back, we might not see anderson's maximum performance because carrick/fletcher are less mobile.
anderson needs a mobile partner where he can do his 1-2s, pass and receive and besides, cleverley can always track back when the ball is lost unlike fletcher/carrick who are too old to sometimes retrieve the ball or too slow to react to goal threats!

Again, there is no basis for comparing league and Euro form.
if you are shyte in the league, you won't even qualify for elite europe. there's a relationship between europe and the league

Madrid haven't won the CL in a decade or so.That doesn't justify slating them and writing them off for losing to Levante, when United have lost to Burnley in recent time.Your violating your own apples and oranges theory,my friend. And it's making you lol bad.
madrid haven't won the champions league in a decade and you mentioned them as one of the teams that would take united apart. madrid have lost this season, united have not! so what's your basis of comparison.  bayern munich have lost this season, united have not, where's the comparison?
the only team above united in europe is barcelona. bayern and real madrid would sweat blood to beat man utd any given day!

As a United fan,you expect me to believe there is a better team in the Premier League and name such.Keep waiting,Johnny.
but according to you, we are shyte! half of our players are not good enough.
if i have read all your complaints this season, the following players shouldn't be in our team. de gea, fabio, rio, evra, carrick, anderson, jones, young, etc. that's half of the first team! if we are so shyte, what then would you call the teams below us in the league? gold??

But you were waxing lyrical about Chelsea signing Mata with native doctor and telling me he would add guile to them.Does your Anderson offer anything to our midfield?
yes, i was waxing lyrical about him and he's been instrumental to their success this season - mata is quality!
if anderson does not offer anything to our midfield with 2 goals and 1 assist in 7 apps, then i don't know what else to say.

I'd rather be afflicted with knee-jerking than be blind.
a blind man can walk and with a guide dog, he would get by.
a knee-jerking fan is paraplegic, immobile, he would pee on himself and have his body all covered up in shyte!

So you've admitted that a corner kick which is headed by an off-balance teammate over the bar is a key-pass?
you are a tool!
how is this question similar to this:

Modric takes a corner, Pavyluchenko flicks on, ball is deflected off opposing defender and falls to Gareth Bale, Gareth Bale blazes over the bar. Modric has made a key pass (ie one of his passes led indirectly to a chance for a team mate)

Am sure Modric gets 40 of those per season. Every match at least two corner kicks are headed over the bar directly from a corner kick. The defending team doesn't have to contest the ball, they just make sure the attacking player is too off-balance to get the header on target. James Collins and Richard Dunne do that about 3 times per match.
look at this tool trying to twist like an eel!
so modric's corner headed by an off-balance attacking player should not count as a key pass? what is this fat tool trying to prove here? if an attacker is off-balance, how the heck did he get a header considering the fact he must jump to head the ball?

see how my intelligence has reduced ibime to a whining pillock.

No wonder Stewart Downing made 80 key passes last season and Jordan Henderson made 78.
immaterial!
the duo had more minutes on the pitch, downing had 37/38 league apps, henderson had 38/38 league apps.
besides, they are chief set piece takers. corner kicks and indirect freekicks. so they are sure to have high numbers coupled with the fact that they know how to slip in through passes.

No wonder Modric made 64 key passes. If VDV let him take corners from the right-wing, maybe he would have made 85 key passes.
irrelevant stats.
modric is far more effective than michael essien. that is the only fact here.

if, should have, would have, had it been, etc don't matter here.
the only fact - gotten by opta stats is that modric had twice the number of key passes essien copped despite having an equal number of minutes on the pitch!

^^^I believed in 99 cos d squad was quite big and loaded with variety. From Ole, to Sheringham, to Cole and Yorke. Each forward bringing something totally different and unique. Players like Beckham, Scholes, Giggs, Neville would be better equipped to handle d pressure. Also after d disappointment of failing in semi's to Dortmund 96/97 and in d quaters to Monaco 97/98. I just felt d signings and previous disappointments, would motivate them to go all d way. Just like I felt Rooney, CR and some of d other players would blossom after d disappointment of 06/07 in d semi's.
never gave us a chance in 98/99. i thought real madrid would win it. they had better players. it was the world cup year which france had won. in my mind, i was thinking real, juventus or that german machine team(bayern). 3 strong teams. our 4 strikers pale in comparison to the big boys in europe. in short, i gave us no chance at all! it was a miracle we won the treble that season. fully forged by the team spirit - not by any individual player then. after beckham's disgraceful red card at the world cup with football fans flaming his effigy in england, i actually thought fergie would sell him to rangers. grin but that wily old fox knows how to create a siege mentality for his players. he made sure beckham had something to prove to the world - and that got the team inspired.

Never believed in 02/03 team. One big gaping weakness was d defense. As much as pple knocked Laurent Blanc, when he played in 01/02 he brought special qualities to our defending on d continent, despite looking shite in PL.  Ruud could score for fun, but there was no experience, or consistency at d back. In knockout games this is crucial as you can't just outscore d opposition. I still remember d Madrid qf at O.T. It was an annoying match as we created more than enough chances to have even won 6-3 and gone through. But you don't deserve to win d ucl if you are giving up 3 goals at home, no matter d opposition.
my best united team so far.
ruud at the peak of his powers - he couldn't do no wrong. breaking champions league scoring records for fun!
we had seba veron too. the only flaw then was that idiotic barthez but then i thought he would be fine in europe until real madrid spoilt the party.

@ Coogar,
There must be a glowing splinter in your sphincter. Hehehehe.
there must be an organism running marathon in your brain cavity.

Is a corner kick onto a teammates head not an intentional pass?
then that team-mate must direct the corner kick straight at goal. the team-mate's contact must register as a shot on target or off target.
anything short of that, then modric's corner is not a key-pass, you twit!

do i have to break your head and put intelligence in it?
so you are saying if modric takes a corner and there are a dozen contacts in the box before the ball was scored or a shot was taken, then it's modric's key-pass? grin you must be a ninny!

Regarding Lamps, Cesc, Nasri, stop daydreaming. Chelsea, Manure etc may score 10 goals max from corners per season, 50% of which won't be scored directly, but rather from flick-ons and scrambles. Maximum 3-5 assists per season will be made from Lamps, Cesc and Nani from corner kicks.
you are still a retardo. . . . .isn't it rich that you are now saying lamps, cesc, nani etc would cop 3-5 assists from set-pieces. if you knew that last week, why were you beating torres with a stick that he doesn't make enough assists when he never takes any set-piece since he arrived in england? i also realized you have changed the topic from essien is better at passing the ball effectively than modric.

ibime, you are a tropical goat(red bororo).

corner kicks would only be a key pass, if the first contact made with the ball registers as a shot off/on target.
failing that, it's not a key pass!  nani takes a corner kick or indirect freekick, for it to be a key pass . . . . .

a)rooney must make contact with the ball and hit the target
b)rooney must make contact with the ball and hit off target

if there's any disruption* to this process, then nani has not made a key pass.
if there's no disruption* and rooney scores from nani's corner directly, then nani has made an assist.

* = deflection of any sort by any other player.

Now for the last time, please tell us why all the top key passes makers are corner takers.
are you this idiotic?
apart from the fact that most of them are good passers of the ball or good crossers, they get the advantage of putting a ball into the box without any pressure e.g corner kicks, indirect freekicks, etc.

Abi do they hit corner kicks "unintentionally"? Hehehehehe
i can see the use of english is a bigger problem than your psychosis. grin
