@ coogar-the fact that we have won our openng games against teams like arsenal and tottenham (who are getting their butts whipped all over the place) does not guarantee sustained battles against the likes of liverpool who have stocked up their already monstrous midfield or even the same arsenal who overnight acquired two maestros in benayoun and arteta.
we will take 6 points from liverpool this season.
they are easily the most overrated team in the league. the arsenal they struggled to beat until frimpong got sent off was the same squad united humiliated massively.

Our boys have talent but there's no big personality to drag the team up on a bad day
rooney? evra? the twins? anderson?
what are those? you underestimate your team.

I can bet my behind that if we had a sneijder or even a charlie adam, barcelona wouldn't have had it easy with us last season
charlie adam wouldn't have started for man utd.
sneijder? hmmmmmm. . . . . maybe.
we beat barcelona with anderson/cleverley. let's see how it goes.

As much as I have faith in SAF I know that he hasn't gotten his midfield right. Right now I can safely say that our midfield is operating at 60% strength. we have good ballers and scary wingers but the heartbeat in the centre of the park still lacks a big personality like keane or scholes.
anderson would grow into keane and cleverley would assume the role of scholes.

let's get something straight here. some players are too good to be replaced. the manager just have to find someone who delivers in his own way and contribute immensely to the team. when ronaldo left, there was panic everywhere cos we all wondered who could replace him. fergie bought valencia - a player who is miles below ronaldo's talent pool. however, valencia delivered the way he knows and he soon became a cult hero at old trafford.

we can never replace keane and scholes. . . . .
i am confident of the players we have got to fill the roles of that central midfield. cleverley seems fine and anderson has suddenly become a beast after continuous starts for the senior team. united still have fletcher, carrick, giggs and gibson who can come in and do a job when required. i am happy with the squad we have got and they have won every game since pre-season.

Technical knowhow is how to finish a game off? And this nincompoop says Ibime reads too much british junk. I bet 'grit' and 'fighting spirit' is technical know how too.
you are a tool!

technical know how: the procedures one complete step by step to successfully finish a task.
talent: natural endowment or natural ability of a superior quality.

and yet you tell me the 2 are the same thing. . . . .you should donate your brains for the next lobotomy experiment in your city.
fabregas and his bunch of simpletons in arsenal all possess the natural ability to pass and move. . . .but they always fail to successfully finish the task of winning football games. they still try to dribble when keeping the ball or playing for time to end a match would win them the game. that is lack of technical know how.

man utd players don't have as much talents but they know when to pass, when to entertain and when to finish off games.
the evidence is the titles after titles they keep winning where the fanciful tools at arsenal gnash their teeth every season blaming everything from the bus driver, the pitch, the physicality of their opponents, etc.

lari03:
Chill out guy,a trophy is a trophy, its a competition and we won holding on defensively haha. . . . . . . .

one of the few times arsenal have shown a bit of technical know how under wenger.
compare your performance of that fa cup final to the game against birmingham(the day eduardo lost his ankle) or the newcastle 4-4 game.

and there lies the crux of the matter. . . . .

reprobates have turned very fickle when they see a player with a lot of natural talent. at man united/chelsea etc. you're expected to be direct and have an end product all the time. we don't really do the arsenal midfield thing of playing people who haven't learnt what to do with the ball or how to fulfil a specific role yet, just because they have technical ability, otherwise pogba and ravel morrison would be starters at man utd already.

wilshere would be sat on the bench if he is a man utd player a lot of the time while someone most probably less talented but with more technical know how/cutting edge would be on the pitch in his place. this is the reason united keep winning and arsenal keep failing season after season. the double promotion your youth players get into the senior team is erroneous.

there's a reason you're the best team in the world at having control of the ball without having control of the game. cool

Dunno why Dudu keeps bothering - I have consistently said that United CANNOT have financial problems given the strength of their brand. If they want to get rid of the entire debt tomorrow, just do a partial listing and it disappears. By the way, just noticed the references to Manure's financial situation and just to correct some misconceptions

Manure's debt has not been reduced by 20 percent, what has reduced is the Net debt which is simply subtracting the cash at hand from the gross debt. Manure's debt right now still stands at 458m (after they bought back roughly 60m of the 518m bonds they sold)  while they 'had' 150m free cash at the June End of Financial year. Like someone pointed out, they strategically made those results look so good for the purposes of their PO, I'm sure they no longer have that 150m in the bank cos they weren't generating money in the summer period and would have to pay wages while they also bought players over the summer.
Its a bit like someone printing off their bank statement on the first day of the month after the salary cheque clears but before the standing orders and direct debits start to take their toll.  grin grin

Having said that, they did have a stunning financial performance and their cash flow is stronger than it ever was, if the Glazers don't simply take all the money from the planned floatation (as there is still some concern as to how the 250m of PIK loans was paid off), they should get enough to pay off that debt (depending on uptake) and might even become profitable, their period of sustained success is definitely paying off from a business perspective but the fact that the Glazers are willing to give up part of the equity suggests to me that all is not as well as they have made it look. I would still place a big AVOID rating on that floatation, the Glazers are a smart lot.

I'm looking forward to the release of ours, it will also give a very true picture of our financial situation as there should be no exceptional items inflating our results this year and there wasn't much player sales in the period covered, the player trading for this summer will be in the results after that. If we get above 10m PAT, that would be a good result indeed.
you must be a consummate tool to have typed this nonsense.
if you dunno about corporate accounts, shut your gob on something you know nothing about.
in this summer alone, they secured sponsorship deals from dhl(£40m) and beeline(vietnamese mobile group). . . .

the contracts of wes brown, john o'shea, hargreaves, gary neville, paul scholes, etc were also torn to shreds. in mumuface's deluded world, what these players cop per week is more than what ashley young, phil jones and david de gea would be getting now. i think it's a let down that most gooners rant on something they know about. 12 months ago, your prediction was man utd would go under and yet they keep breaking turnover records and operating profit records.

i dunno why you are responding to ibime.
his football knowledge has gone down the drain ever since yaradua died.

this was what christian eriksen's father said when chelsea wanted eriksen for a third trial.

The father of Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen has hit out at English clubs, claiming their 'cold' way of dealing with young players is bad for their development.

Eriksen, 19, had a trial at Chelsea as a youth player but failed to impress enough to earn himself a contract and Eriksen Snr was unimpressed with the way his son was handled by the London club.

"Chelsea thought he was too weak and not that great," Thomas Eriksen told the Daily Mail. "They wanted him to have a third trial - but I said no to that. They had time to consider him.

"But it suited us just fine because it was not the right place for him. The English mentality does not work, they are completely cold with the way they deal with players.

"If there is one player from the youth team that goes to the first team they are happy. They are indifferent to all the rest. The training facilities are good - but kids should not go there."

The Danish midfielder impressed in the 2-1 loss to England in February and has been recently linked with a move to Liverpool, which he claimed he would turn down

now you see why english fans prefer micah richards, scott parker, lampard and other zombies instead of raw skills.
it's rubbish to see things that way.

You forgot Xavi started as a Defensive Midfielder. Who told you Busquets is even a typical DM? Busquets is a playmaker type who has the intelligence to play deep.

This is the difference between Boyz and Men.
it's eriksen not eriksson. perhaps you are talking about a different player.
have you seen christian eriksen in ajax at all? ever? a player that won the best young player in eredivisie is not as good as wilshere? if wilshere was french, would he win the same award that had chicharito and nani as nominees?
