This is no sucking up, its a basic rule of law that if there are suitable grounds for an appeal a stay of execution is granted. UEFA governs the game and can always apply the punishment if the appeal fails.
We should rather be asking why the spineless English FA didn't have the balls to charge Fergie when he brought his 18th century phone to the stands while under a similar ban.  tongue
the fa laws are different to uefa laws. . . . .fergie read the rule-book. wenger assumed!
wenger is an idiot as usual. . . . .when jose mourinho was banned years ago, he wasn't on the stands.
wenger knew uefa rules are tougher and yet he sat down where he could be seen and giving instructions to mr. pat rice via a 3rd party.

stay of execution is granted but the case is still going to be decided. if wenger is not found guilty, life goes on as usual but if he's found guilty then he will still miss those 2 games in the group stage. but i like the fact he's been allowed to stay on the bench.
when udinese tears him a new rectum tomorrow, the excuses of wenger's absence would not surface from the teeth-gnashing gaynners tomorrow.

wenger will be on the bench tomorrow as he won his appeal for the stay of execution.
what's the brouhaha for in the first place when he could always appeal?

Coogar understands exactly what he is talking about. Your prompt dismissal of Chelsea is naive to say the least.
of course, i do.
mata is a very talented player and he will give chelsea a new dimension. i recognise quality when i sniff one and mata is superb.
if chelsea sign mata and modric, then there's no limit to how far chelsea would go this season to chase united back to the pits of hell.

the only snag is their defence. i think terry has aged and his pace is beginning to suffer.
a back five of cech--bosingwa--ivanovic--luiz--cashley would be water-tight. i don't trust terry and alex as far as pace is concerned.
chelsea are well-equipped in the midfield. . . .the matter is not even up for discussion.

the attack has drogba, torres, kalou, malouda, sturridge, anelka and romelu lukaku.
in all honesty, chelsea's squad is far scarier than city's.
if villash boash gets this team to gel quickly, the title race this season will be fierce. . . .

Im prepared to keep quiet and take your word that Cesc and Nasri were not sold to balance the books. Il wait till September 1. At least, we can safely assume that City and Chelsea are now done in the transfer market. The rest of us can now fight over the crumbs.
why wait till the 1st of september?
it's already sealed that wenger won't bring a quality player in the mould of cesc and nasri. there are no quality available players in the market. all but one have been snapped up and i doubt sneijder would move to arsenal even if wenger can afford his wages.

so what do you have left? modric? nope. . . .mata? chelsea acted faster
scott parker? is that a step up or a step down.
alcantara? guardiola would spit on wenger's face.

@ Edoyad, please reply and then I will give you my answer.
i still don't get your argument here. . . .
are you saying wenger is guilt-free in all this mess he has put arsenal into?

wenger may have a degree in economics, but for a nerd, he makes some bloody stupid decisions. i think it's his arrogance that is his failing. he refuses to accept reality and hangs on to deluded ideals. he should have accepted the cesc and samir situation months ago and spent the last 6 weeks finding replacements, instead of the balls up he now finds himself in.

i pray udinese destroy arsenal tomorrow in italy.

Good question. I promise to Answer the question, but just want to ask another question before responding.

Do you feel that a reasonably fit Arsenal squad (minus Cesc & Nasri) would be good enough to qualify for the CL or do you think that Arsenal would be unable to qualify for the CL without Cesc and Nasri?

Please make it brief if you can.
answer his question first, you unrepentant pederast.

always trying to play games in serious issues. . . . .proudly made a solid point - why are arsenal in this mess in the first place if everything has been good and dandy? wenger knew there's a possibility cesc/nasri might move - why didn't he complete all the deals of his new signings since last month? enough time to bed them in, enough time to acclimatize in the pre-season and enough firepower to have seen udinese off in the first leg.

the only difference is welbeck enjoyed a season-long loan with sunderland last season whilst macheda went back to italy to hone his skills. in a nutshell, i will put macheda/welbeck in the same echelon. i am not convinced welbeck is better than kiko.

I would tend to agree with your argument, except that I don't exactly know what Mata will do for the Chelsea people.
He's good, but he played against us last season and didn't hurt us.
For all our comparisons he might not fit into their system. We shouldn't be buying because others are.
The reason why we need Wes is because we have a gaping hole in our middle.
I  still think we won't get him though. . .a lot of stalling by United has been done. . .
mata brings guile and disguise to their play instead of the mechanical way chelsea used to play.
players of this ilk are rare. . . . . .modric, silva, nasri, nani, etc.
he will give chelsea another dimension in my own opinion.

Man City beat Utd on the way to the finals no? Stoke got through to the finals via the luck of the draw. As I've mentioned so many times, the league competitions are the ultimate measure of where a club stands, not a one-off game.
stoke got through via the luck of the draw? which luck of the draw?
who eliminated liverpool and chelsea? luck of the draw?

I don't specifically know what happened to those monies - what I do know is that players have been signed since Toure and Ade were sold, including Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gervinho amongst others.
the quality of the new signings pale in comparison to the departures.
so arsenal take 2 steps forward and 22 steps backwards.

Good luck to them. . . .times of crisis always help to eliminate the weak and leave the strong supporters left to cheer the club on. I am sure we will likely lose many of the fair-weather supporters and that cannot be a bad thing. tongue

Romance › Re: I Really Don't Know How To Be A Girlfriend. by coogar: 3:27pm On Aug 23, 2011
Amya:

I'm 25 years old and have been in a couple of relationships, all of which have ended terribly. The reason i think for this is i really don't know how to be a girlfriend. It's a really big problem, one which i hope to overcome very soon. There's this Guy i really like who wants to date me presently and i really don't want to make a mess of things and blow it as I've blown the rest.

The problem isI like my space and don't like people too clingy. I like to do things by myself. I really don't need a guy around except for se.x, as i don't self service. I'm not the call type and i can go without my phone for a long while. If i don't have any feeling for a guy, he doesn't stand a chance, if the feeling i once have disappear, i disappear!
I don't think i have ever been in the conventional boyfriend/girlfriend relationship except for once or twice and one of which the guy disagrees with me on that issue as you would read further down.
Another problem i have is that i get bored easily, and if there's not enough drama, spontaneity and passion to sustain the relationship it drifts away without me even knowing. It's only once or twice I've had the conventional break-up, immediately any of my relationships loses steam, i'm out. Stay single for a really long time, see someone i really like and repeat the same cycle. The thing I'm not really young again and i hope to settle down in the nearest future, but if i can't keep a boyfriend, how can i keep a husband!
BTW, what's the difference between having a 'thing' with someone and actually dating someone as a guy i dated for close to a year who i was so in love with then, and who's presently dating my friend told her that we are actually didn't date, but we just had a 'thing' for a while and i was simply delusional for claiming a non-existent relationship. To say i was flabbergasted would be the understatement of the year. By God, I'd sworn we were actually dating! It wasn't a secret, everyone knew . . .we broke up officially due to some problems that cropped up much later in the relationship.

no need to be in a hurry.
by the time you clock 30, you will learn by force how to be a girlfriend.
i have met several chics like you and they learnt the hard way in their late late 20s.

Or when did I tell you that I am in charge of transfer dealings at Arsenal? huh I still maintain, our failure to win trophies is primarily (but not solely) as a result of being outspent by other clubs. Anyone can lose a final - it's a one-off game, but when trends are analysed, the conclusion is inevitable.
man utd, chelsea, liverpool and tottenham will not lose that particular final.
6 seasons without a trophy and an opportunity to beat a relegation-bound team and you said anyone could have lost that final?
that was arsenal's only chance to win something last season. . .so i refuse to accept any team could have lost that final.

FYI - it is ALL about money. Citeh is in a better position to compete for trophies because they've spent money on players, as a result, they can attract players like Nasri by offering them even more money.
citeh are not in any better position.
wolves are 3rd on the table. . . . .is it because they have outspent arsenal or tottenham?

That comment was aimed at the board - to force them to keep either of those two players. Now they have left, I am sure some hard conversations are taking place between Arsene and the board. . . .I will wait for another 8 days before passing comments on what I've heard.
you are super-deluded.
hard conversations when arsene wenger told us finishing 4th in the champions league is better than winning the league. grin the geriatric pederast is happy to keep the proceeds for himself and the other board members whilst fans like you throw tantrums in your bedrooms.

What I'll say regarding the sales is this - both sales were as a result of Wenger being overruled by Kroenke and the board. Wenger did not want to sell, but was forced to sell by the board. Whether or not any (quality) replacements can be bought will become clearer in the following days.
who else is out there?
lampard? parker? messi? iniesta?
who wants to come to arsenal?  grin cheesy

We still could do with another capable player in central midfield. Ando looks fired up at this moment, but fatigue, dips in form and injuries will eventually affect him, and it would be unfair to toss Cleverley in to d deep end of hot derbies and ucl knockout matches in his 1st full season. Carrick & Fletcher are also showing their age with their recent injury lay-offs and can't make as many quality appearances as before. Rooney still drops very, very deep to help kick start our play frequently, which just shows we are missing a bit centrally. Giggs can perform this role reasonably when required, but relying on him has significant risks attached.
with chelsea signing mata and modric's deal in the pipeline, i am more convinced we need sneijder and an extra midfielder. . . . .all the top clubs have shopped well this window. united are the only club still struggling to plug a hole in the heart of their midfield.

I still think there are many players out there who would want to come to Arsenal IF we change this our top 4 ambition and actually aim to win the title. The question is, when will this happen if ever?

Aw man, not this Barca hang-over again. Look I am sure the defeat to Barca in the champs league final was quite devastating but that belongs to the past now. Do we have to keep referring to Barca in any conversation regarding United's future? I know a lot of people use Barca as the standard nowadays but United does play an attractive brand of football. This Barca hang-over surely must be over by now?
it wasn't me that raised the bar. . . .barcelona did and fergie promised to take the challenge. . . .

fergie said this. . . .
"The challenge is always to improve yourselves," he said. "Over the years, we've done OK when confronted by things like this, and taking [Barcelona] on is another challenge. We've some very good players and, of course, where we start to find a way forward is something we'll mull over the summer. We're not lacking in ideas . Hopefully we'll come up with the right ones.

"You shouldn't be afraid of a challenge. We want to improve. Of course, next season, we must improve even more. But we have a challenge with Barcelona. We all do. It's no consolation being the second-best team. I don't enjoy being second-best. Any club with the history we have – Real Madrid, Milan – they'd say the same."

fergie's next challenge is to knock barcelona off their perch. . . . .i don't care if we win the league again this season or not.
the victories are tasteless these days. . . .it's becoming a bore. united win 20th league title will not excite me as united beating barcelona in the semi finals or the final of the champions league. . . . .i dunno about you but the champions league is more important this season than the league.

I am of the opinion that you are seeing the realities of Fergie's thoughts 3 games late. However you insisted Berba was rested.
berbatov is being rested. . . .
this is the exact time for fergie to bed in his fledglings when the race is just starting.
chicharito was fit yesterday but he could only start from the bench, is welbeck also better than hernandez?

giggs? js park? carrick? all rested!!!
that a player is on the bench in man utd does not necessarily mean he is washed up. . . .man utd don't have a starting xi. . . .we have not used the same starting xi in about 200 games now.

But hey! Who am I to argue? Coogar says it's illogical to argue that your golden boot striker is bench-warming if not that he is being rested. My question is how about 3 games later? Is it still illogical?
it's still illogical.
giggs has been rested until yesterday and when he came on. . . . he got an assist(that's the quality united keep on the bench when they want to).
when was the last time js-park played? fergie kept them on the bench to show-off the future of man utd. with berbatov and giggs on the pitch, the whole chest-beating about united's average age of 22 would have been impossible.

By cancelling outmoded deals signed in 2003/4 and renegotiating better deals now, like Liverpool did with Carlsberg, like Chelski did with Fly Emirates. Investors want a clearly defined unique selling proposition - if this proposition is not made to them, they will not sign on.

When was the past? 2010 summer or few months ago when the German U21 sodomised Engerland once more?
Definitely English sides would look better when they are filled with foreigners
club football is not national team.
bayern are actually allowed to play as many foreigners as they wish.

Man Citeh With at least 8 foreign starters too would claim they are English or Chelsea?
Last man Utd time out in EUrope they had 3 English players starting, Last Chelsea time out in Europe they had 3 English starters, Last Arsenals European game they had 3 English starters. Last time bayern had a European run out they had 7 German starters.
The success of English clubs are representative of the performance of various nationals and less English
hypocrisy at it's best. . . .
the last time bayern played in a champions league final. . . .
van buyten, van bommel, demichelis, robben, altintop and ivica olic started. . . .if ribery wasn't suspended, he would have also started.
that's 7 foreign players in bayern's most important match since 2001. . . . .

U17 Germany 4 Engerland 1 FIFA U17 Korea 2007
U17 germany 4 Engerland 0 UEFA U17 2009
U21 Germany 4 Engerland 0 UEFA U21 2009

this does not prove phil jones is not better than any german defender since 2001.

but there's no defender in the whole bundesliga that will start for man utd, never mind bayern munich.

Oh shut up you muppet - Arsenal has more worldwide appeal than Liverpool, it simply hasn't been tapped to the same extent.
arsenal have more appeal and it hasn't been tapped?
excuse me, mr retardo. . . . .how do you tap appeal? grin grin grin grin grin grin

it's either the appeal is there or not. arsenal as a brand must be shitty. . .if it's valuable, investors will find the brand no matter where. . .
liverpool are a bigger brand than arsenal. . . .that is a fact unless you are a brainless gaynner.

The biggest club in the biggest city in the UK has more appeal than some has beens from the North West.  tongue
the biggest city in england is manchester, not london.
the 2 clubs combined in the north west have 37 league titles between them . . . .i urge you to add up all the other clubs in the country to that of london and you are nowhere near 37.

At least there are 7 German defenders under the age of 23 better than Fil Joans.
I bet that was the way some geriatric English commentator said about the German team before the World cup Second round match
oh shut up and stop living in the past.
the truth is, german players only look good in their national colours. . . . .in club football, they are utterly useless.
tell us why the bulk of the current german side that looked decent in the world cup have not won anything in europe for club. . . .

In case you have forgotten see clips below or is it the 4-0 demolition job by the U21 at Sweden or the 4-0 demolition job by the U17 led by Buchmann or the 4-1 demolition at FIFA U17  led by Toni Kroos in 2007 or the 4-1 demoliton in SOuth Africa by Muller and co all in the last 5 yrs
of course, super eagles had a better team than germany in 1987 because victor igbinoba sodomized the germans in china 85. grin

FACT is Phil Joans of fuckever he calls himself cant play for the German Female team
no german defender in the last 10 yrs is good enough to start for man utd.

Just watched that second goal again . . . the attack was actually started by De Gea from the back.
His ball distribution looks really good.
his ball distribution is the best i have seen at old trafford for a long time. . . .
van der sar kicks them out of touch under pressure. . . .de gea chips the ball beautifully to a free player on the pitch regardless of the distance.

all he needs is just to beef up a bit and focus.
i think this boy will give us 15-20yrs of quality service before he retires. . . .and we should be thankful he's not from the barcelona academy. grin

Silva copped 14 or 15 assists in his first season in the EPL. Silva is the most creative player in the EPL. Nani has been in EPL for God knows how long. . . Odems scored 15 goals in his first EPL season playing in a newly promoted West Brom side. Aguero played against Swansea? Aren't Swansea in the EPL? Shane Long, signed from the championship, has scored two goals in two games playing against United and Chelsea. . . EPL is a piece of cake.
you are a tool. . . . .
silva had 9 assists in the epl not 14 or 15. nani's assists doubled that of david silva. silva is the most creative player in the premier league? you should donate your brains to the apes. nani has been in the premier league means what? he was the highest assist provider in his debut season at man utd. the team had giggs, scholes, ronaldo, rooney and tevez. you wanna compare silva to aguero? what a reetard.

odems scoring 15 goals means what? it means he will score 40 in la liga. diego forlan scored 25 la liga goals in his debut season for villareal, his highest for man utd was 6. guiseppe rossi couldn't cut it in england, he scored a whopping 32 goals for villareal last season. . . . a bench warming van nistelrooy in man utd clinched pichichi in his debut season in la liga.

aguero scored against a welsh team and you are creaming yourself like a donkey. when he came against bolton, what did he produce? epl is a piece of cake? you are a pinhead!!! when i see what players like forlan, rossi and kanoute have achieved in la liga, it tells me la liga is not worth the hype.
any goat can go there and dominate.

Torres' record of most goals scored by a foreigner in his first season is still waiting to be broken. . . Ballack was an undisputed starter at Chelsea. Robinho was the 2nd highest goal scorer in his first season in the EPL. Robben won two league titles with Chelsea. No winger could hold a candle to Robben when he was at Chelsea.
and what has he produced since then? that same season, cristiano ronaldo(winger) outscored torres. ballack was shyte at chelsea. shevchenko was shyte in england. this poof can lie. how was robinho the 2nd highest goal scorer in the league in his debut season? when he was conveniently outscored by anelka, ronaldo and gerrard? no winger could hold a candle to robben? you are a mor0n. cristiano ronaldo was better than him, so was giggs.

You even mentioned Fabregas. The same Fabregas that has the most assists in Europe in the past four to 5 seasons? quit watching footie. . .invest that 90 minutes in something like, em. . . washing undies grin at least, you'd make money from it.
and what did fabregas win with his bazillion assists? fabregas wasn't even in the pfa team last season. . . .you are a crackhead.

Silva butchered Stoke City everytime they met last season including at the Britannia eventhough it ended goalless. . . . This Stoke City argument is third world meaningless.
silva didn't do nada. it was yaya toure that won the fa cup for city, not david silva.

Two assits at the world cup. Three assists at the Copa America. What are Ronaldo's  goals outside United and Madrid?
for a player who had scored 100 goals in la liga in the last 2 seasons, 5 assists and no goals is a good record indeed.
if i were you, i would hang me head in shame with your inaccurate statistics and blind arguments.

what are ronaldo's goals against man utd and madrid? 2 different teams? are you a dunderhead?
ronaldo has proven his scoring prowess in 2 different teams, messi hasn't. even if we look into the goals scored for their respective countries. . ronaldo's ratio is much better than messi's.

Messi has better teammates to turn his assits into goals? compare their chances created.
messi has better team mates unless you are a ruminant animal.
the same messi had 42 shots in the last 2 tournaments with argentina - he scored 0 goals from them.

Arne Riise scores headers too:
http://m.bleacherreport.com/articles/331443-juventus-roma-john-arne-riises-last-minute-header-stuns-10-man-juve
yes, john arne riise also scored 42 goals in the premier league.
john arne riise also scored 40 la liga goals(unprecedented).

i am done arguing with a bush rat like you.
your stats are awkward, your theories are not even comprehensible. . . . .like dicksett, you are just pissing in the wind.
deco who was a force in la liga came to the premier league and was super anonymous. . . . .la liga players? they are too wacky.

True, Welbeck was fairly anonymous in d first half. But he looked a lot better in d 2nd half even before his goal. He was playing upfront alone most times with Rooney dropping really deep and sometimes in such a role you have to bide your time and take your chances when they come, which he did.
i trust fergie to start him again against the arses. . . . .what a game that would be!!!

^^ Not really about being a 'top side' - its about being commercially savvy.

Liverpool's shirt sponsorship is nearly four times ours - I don't think anyone would claim they've been more of a 'top' side than us in the EPL era.
they are. . . .
they have won the league 18 times plus 5 champions league titles.
what have arsenal won? even if liverpool are not doing too well these days, they have a better brand out there than arsenal cos of their rich history.
