Afam4eva: I have watched 2012 where she starred opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor. Why did that even come up? Did i say she hasn't acted any lead roles?
so which role has genevieve copped in her career that can stand next to 2012 or MI-2?
Family › Re: Rise Of The Feminist Wedding by coogar: 7:46pm On Jul 26, 2013
carefreewannabe: It's wrong to say feminists can't marry and that this is a contradiction. Check the definition of feminism.
it then begs the question - which man in his right senses would put up with a feminist and marry her? how long before the marriage khaputs?

feminism is just communism in thongs....feminism has turned women into men and i don't want to marry a man. in other words, feminists should forget about getting married! it defeats their purpose....

Afam4eva: If we're referring to American and western country then it's Thandie newton. But my point is that Genevieve has more name where she's known than Thandie Newton.
thandie trashes genevieve on every continent - go and watch 2012 before you start spewing fückery. she's been at it for aeons. you think all those yeye home videos are reckoned with outside nigeria?
TV/Movies › Re: Half Of A Yellow Sun Trailer | Festival 2013 by coogar: 6:31pm On Jul 26, 2013
Afam4eva: Genevieve is bigger than Thandie Newton in terms of popularity even though Genevieve's popularity is limited to Africa and Africans in the diaspora. A lot of people except Hollywood buffs don't know Thandie Newton. She's not a Halle Berry for crying out loud. She's just one of those Actors that have had a few lead roles but their names are not household.
you are a village boy. genevieve is bigger than who? you local nigerians make me laugh. search for genevieve nnaji and thandie newton and tell me the number of hits they have on google. maybe your eyes would clear up by then!

ileobatojo: Lol. Haters!! angry grin

@ thread. This is one for the trolls isn't it. Cause it makes no damn sense to me. This is actually a cause some people pursue? Okay now. More grease to their jobless elbows.
ileoba, are you not one of them? when i said your feminism is the mgbeke type, you wanted my head on a plate. i think we now know who the real feminists are unlike the ones puffing their chests on NL.

Wunmi10: God whyyyyy? Why are all these fetish happenings still existing here in Nigeria ?
so even after everything that's been written on this thread, you still think this video happened in nigeria?
TV/Movies › Re: Half Of A Yellow Sun Trailer | Festival 2013 by coogar: 6:20pm On Jul 26, 2013
ThiefOfHearts: True. Genevieve is in a higher league. Unlike you I dont believe Thandie is better cos she's half white. Brainwashed coon.
you can't be serious - genevieve in a higher league in comparison to thandie newton? thandie that got a lead role in mission impossible 2 with tom cruise?

what's genevieve's greatest achievement as an actor? mirror boy or featuring in d'banj's music video? you must be on a wind-up!

the comparison is not even there - compare genevieve to yvonne nelson or nadia buari. thandie is out of genevieve's league.

4 Play: The only reason this thread rapidly got fast-tracked to the front page is to stoke tribal e-fights. The fact that the persons involved in the video are French speakers was not going to stand in the way.
it's seun's handiwork - he revels in those tribal e-fights. enugu of all places cannot be that remote. there's no electricity running in the village where that video was shot and they were all speaking french. video could even be from congo republic!

dayokanu: Waiting for the NL feminist opinion on this

Ileobatojo where are you?
ileobatojo cannot be married and be a feminist. she's married so she isn't a feminist. she just aspires to be one but it's too late for her. grin
Family › Re: Rise Of The Feminist Wedding by coogar: 6:05pm On Jul 26, 2013
dayokanu: Welcome development

Why even marry just cohabit, Cos marriage is even anti feminist
that's why i said it's an oxymoron.....they want to keep their maiden name because answering their hubby's name is antifeminist. meanwhile, the maiden name is their father's last name which is also patriarchal!

see how confused these women are....

la furia: i agree with you completely. i once enter a blog about a story of two nigeria university girls fighting on the street over a boyfriend, a video was attached but the story was all lies. the video was that of two Jamaican street girls that was posted on youtube like 4years ago. i knew that because i had seen the video in past.
only 2% of the articles you read on those blogs are true. the annoying thing is they quickly tag nigeria with their dirty stories and further damage the reputation of the country. a country as big as nigeria should have a regulatory body that monitors such idiotic blogs.....i don't know why nigerians must ruin everything they touch.

i expect our ambassador in malaysia to strike a deal with the malaysian authorities to rescue this young man. i am sure there are malaysian prisoners in nigeria too. a prisoner exchange deal should be struck and malaysia should close their borders to nigerians....

the country is a haven for yahoo-boys and drug mules.

chidindufrank: The ritualist is not speaking igbo, so how are we supossed to know that is the same 4year old boy's head that he's carrying? Bad world
he is not -
this video is either from cameroon or togo/benin republic.
Family › Re: Rise Of The Feminist Wedding by coogar: 5:51pm On Jul 26, 2013
biolabee: good news... ,means that they can fund the wedding
can they? you mean a feminist would buy herself a ring worth her 6 month salary?
Crime › Re: Ritualist Kill 4-yr-old Boy In Enugu by coogar: 5:48pm On Jul 26, 2013
sicily4u: i thought as much because the people in the video speak french and not even English
i think the government should do something to the army of semi-illiterate bloggers in nigeria. they just make up false news in order to drive traffic to their blogs thus confusing the populace. there should be a strict regulatory body to put them in check to prevent misinformation.....

by the time one or two gets a jail sentence, they would all sit up and rethink what they want to do with their lives. linda ikeji and laila ikeji are the pioneers. a month's prison sentence and 3000 hours of community service to clean ladipo market should suffice!

johnstar: The news was all over the BBM world, when a young 4 year old boy was kidnapped from his primary school on Tuesday 2nd July, 2013 by 9am at his school in Achara Layout Enugu. There was a phone number placed in some Bc’s where people could be contacted if they had seen him, as at 4th of july(not certain), news broke and we heard that he has been killed by a potential ritualist. The video contains all that is needed to be seen.

How long will we continue like this ? A country which is fast developing but still having traits of the uncivilised world. From Boko-haram to Ritualists and then Robbers.
you are spreading false news - this video is not linked to the 4-year-old boy that was kidnapped. this is another incident entirely. the mother of the boy that was kidnapped in school had since announced the detached head in this video is not her son...

i would still trust RVP in the box before rooney. when RVP misses, more often than not, it's because the goalie made a brilliant save. rooney just blasts the ball, he rarely places the ball away from the goalie's reach.

chamotex: With the way things are panning out...I think we will end up with second choice signings which is a shame.
I honestly think David Gill should have stayed one more season to help ease the transition of having a new manager at the club in regards to transfers.
This Woodward guy doesn't seem to be ruthless enough for me.
Having a new manager and a new Chief Executive at the same time is not ideal for the club.
fergie and gill should have stayed till 31st of july. moyes has become basket mouth. fergie would never openly tell the media about his transfer targets.

i'm not even sure woodward can point to africa on a map - he's clueless. they said he left the team at preseason to be in a better position to haggle transfer - why did he travel to asia in the first place?
Family › Re: Rise Of The Feminist Wedding by coogar: 2:56pm On Jul 26, 2013
feminist wedding?

it sounds almost like an oxymoron - so feminists do actually marry? that's a big laugh!!! no engagement ring? well, that saves me a fortune....

keeping their maiden name? why marry at all then? isn't marriage supposed to be 2 becoming one? this is the most hilarious article ever. feminists are confused!
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 2:48pm On Jul 26, 2013
chamotex: You are being too harsh...he is decent outside the box. Good first touch and he can hold up play and bring people up in build ups plus he set up a decent amount of goals too.
He scored some wonderful goals outside the box or in and around the 18 yard box and not just tap-ins plus he was the arrowhead so most of the time he would be in the box.
He won't score as much goals if he was dangling outside the box. He is simply playing his role.
it's actually fair to say RVP is better than rooney at holding the play. his first touch and close control is better than rooney's and he's more intelligent with the ball. pre-season games are what they are.....games used to sharpen the wits and fitness of players.

damiso: Ok holland nko? :PAbegi a guy that will cheat willl cheat. Its even easier for a jobless guy who happens to find a sympathetic ear while his wife is out trying to save the world. smiley
he's in the UK. infidelity here would make him miserable if his wife decides to take the matter up.

Agreed, Lagos girls no easy grin but you gotta learn to trust your man.Why is he not paranoid about her needing a bed warmer on those cold winter nights cos we seem to be forgetting infidelity can work both ways.
lagos girls use spiritual powers or juju - by the time they deal with him in naija, his eyes would clear.

As for infidelity in Dubai, Coogar forget that thing o.Dubai is a choice destination for away matches if you know what I mean.
i don't know what you mean o grin cheesy..... the few times i went to dubai, i behaved myself. dubai as choice destination is for married couple o. if the hotel staff get a sniff the couple are not married, they could bring the cops in.

Oh well its their marriage so they are the best people to work it out.
because infidelity in dubai = prison!

biolabee: It will not be so bad
Granted there is an innate power struggle between the sexes from time immemorial but it will not be as bad
All they do in the west is serial marriages
nigeria is worse - many wives are just suffering and smiling. as long as they wear the "mrs" tag, it's good in the hood. the moment nigeria's divorce laws get near what we have in the west, you would see a drastic change!

there are 7 million chics like her doing that already. she could be in naija for 8 years trying such jobs without success. nigeria is an animal kingdom when it comes to employment. written notes from the high & mighty is the currency, not CVs or work experience.

biolabee: Interesting comments
on the african male, if the western men are so perfect and share tasks 50/50, how come the divorce rate is so high

remember i asked you on the pro/con debate,.. if only one person's ideas are alway consistently more sound, will there not be resentment from the other party
i will play the devil's advocate for one hour....

now to your question, the divorce rate is high in the west because there's a big incentive attached to any divorce for the women. if such laws are put in place in africa, the divorce rate in nigeria would get near 100%. it's even your wife herself that would set you up with a mistress so she can get 50% of your wealth....

why should a social care worker shift and go to nigeria? do you know any company in nigeria that pays N11m per annum for such jobs?

biolabee: coogar according to your logic where she has only 50 men to choose from and he had 40m women, she was the more desperate of the pair
he's the one more desperate to have left 40 million potential nigerian brides, a good job, his family, his network of friends, etc to start afresh in the UK. men don't move into a woman's house by default - it should be the other way round!!!
