the players have to bed in. the additions are mostly from other leagues, their acclimatisation can take up to 6 months. i would be happy with 2nd position, a s/final finish in europe & 1 of the 2 domestic cups in the kitty.

If we are going for an out and out striker of course Lewandowski is a better choice. But it appears Van Gaal is going for versatile players rather than specialists.
