eGuerrilla: Nailed what exactly?
he nailed the proportional indices instead of the absolute numbers you herbs were dealing with.
there are 21,000 nigerian doctors in the usa, and there are between 8-10,000 doctors in the uk.
usa has got 300 million population whilst the uk is pegged down at 63 million heads.
in raw statistics, there are more nigerian doctors per population in the uk than the usa.

Gbawe: This is what we have tried to show the OP in so many ways. I even gave an example that totally ridicules his assertion and precisely describe the disparity of size (population and land mass) you mention that he fails to take into account.

When you have 21000 Nigerian Doctors practising in the USA , with 50 States and 310 million population, it is then only those deeply biased or ignorant of statistical comparisons who will not note that the UK offers Nigerians more opportunities in this sector with how 8,000-10,000 Nigerian Doctors are involved with the care of 63 million people who live in a Country that is a third , in size, of one American State i.e Texas. To put issues in perspective, the statistics show that 1 Nigerian Doctor serves 14,761.00 Americans in the USA. Meanwhile the equivalent picture for Britian is 1 Doctor to 7,000.00 patients !!!! Meaning the UK employs roughly , as a percentage of ratio, twice the amount of Nigerian Doctors America does. This is despite what we are told here by many, including those who live in the UK, that America offers more opportunities. Shame cold facts and the correct interpretation of statistics disagree.

I think many, especially Nigerians in America, forget that Britain is actually only a small Island. It may be, using averages, that many sectors also follow the medical example. We don't know for sure. What is not fair , or even sensible, is for someone to make intellectually lazy conclusions based on conjectures.

I think some folks are just confused with how relational statistics work.
gbawe, you nailed it!
the discussion should end now.

if this interview d'banj granted is the truth then don jazzie has no foresight.
he's afraid to take it to the next level cos he's afraid to take risks.
i want to know don jazzie's educational background, i am not sure he went through college.

having def jam in africa would pave way for upstarts in nigeria and africa as a whole.
yes, they would make money signing talents but the relationship would be symbiotic.
with def jam africa, nigerian stars would be under the same umbrella as def jam music.

def jam artistes would do duets with our local stars and in no time, naija boys would
perform at the grammys. why is don jazzie so afraid to take it to the next level? why
is he resting his laurels? to be a local champion or he's scared of their potentials?

i can't wait to hear don jazzie's version of this story.

The other team plays possesion football(70%) with the tendecy to overdo things at times. Which of these two teams do you think would have more shots overall?

Again I ask which Meal?

Interesting read you have there. I was in no way ranting. I subscribe to some of your assertions and i beg to differ in a few. For e.g i saw ozeil get substituted and he had 22 passes. 11 of which met the intended target. Thats very shabby for a central creative midfielder. the truth is, the match was bigger than him. Xabi Alonso, ronaldo, benzema etc ALL had below 17 passes each (i stand corrected). They won the game so they were efficient but what are the odds of winning such games with such stats? thats the million dollar question.
that's why football is all about taking chances. he might have squandered 11 passes but the pass he threaded to ronaldo
for the winner is worth the la liga title. ozil had done his job for the season with that pass. his inaccuracy earlier
would have been forgiven by madrid fans as we speak.

In the last 10 games at the bernabeau barca has won about 7 times. The rest being draws and in those games especially in the 3-1 of this season guardiola went with the 3-4-3 formation. Mourinhos tactics, like fergusons and wengers doesnt work all the time. One can just have a bad day at the office. I feel that was exactly what happened to barca on saturday.
in the last 10 games, mourinho was too afraid. using 3 defensive midfielders and 4 defenders was too negative.
the players confronted him that he should trust them and since then, madrid have put up a better performance against barcelona.
even in the 1-3 loss at the bernebau earlier in the season, madrid were the better team but they were too nervous in front of goal.
with time, they got better and saturday's result was not a fluke.

I agree that sergio busquets had to drop deep to act as a make shift defender during the game but i would blame Valdes, Tello and xavi more for the loss than i would guardiola and his tactics. after all they were home and it has served them for 54 games prior to saturday. Every record would eventually come to an end. You also have to realize that the chelsea game was on the mind of the barca players and manager whilst playing a madrid who had more to play for as the pendulum to win the La liga resides in their ambit now (EVEN PRIOR TO THE GAME)
the manager should get the blame. had barcelona won 6-0, we would hail guardiola's tactical ingenuity!
barcelona lost and he must take some blame. busquets was toothless because of the role he had to play.
whenever madrid had the ball on the flank, one defender had to trail the ball n busquets had to leave ozil
to quickly fill in the void left. it gave madrid players so much time n space to think about what to do.
barca had been successful in the past because of the way they press their opponents beyond repair.

I agree with you too on the possession craze of Guardiola but when David villa took that shot against madrid during the spanish super cup final Pep seemed to like the goal. If players would just take laws into their hands sometimes for the betterment of the team. He needs to enforce the idea that a goal is a goal over the "try to give a through pass in front of the eighteen yard box" many teams just plan to pack the bus and hope. If chesea would survive it tommorrow God only knows and if youre asking me wether Madrid would survive a game against barca playing like that again i would ask you to look at the stats and tell yourself the truth.
mourinho has worked out barcelona now unless guardiola goes back to his old blueprint.
yes, the absence of david villa and abidal has made it easier for real madrid to catch up but the point still stands.
in 08/09, messi could afford to drop deep because there was etoo and henry who stayed up and got defenders worried.
if you mark henry/etoo, messi drops deep and kill ya. if you track messi down with a defender, etoo/henry wld utilize the space
left by that defender and still kill you. barcelona were much more potent then. there was a directness in their game unlike now.
as we speak, messi's responsibility has quadrupled with his false 9 position and no david villa(outstanding finisher)
to receive messi's passes!

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by coogar: 11:36am On Apr 23, 2012
mba emeka: @ ALL

The statements about Barca and guardiola are unfair and unfounded. It was just a win. LAST season Getafe beat barca there 1-0...shit does happen in football. These same Barca beat madrid 6-2, 2-0, 2-0, 3-1, 2-1 in the last seven or so odd games at BERNABEAU!. thats a whopping if you ask me.
Secondly madrid by no stretch of anybodies imagination play better than barca (both in that game and for close to eternity). They simply won the game. Kudos to them. Barca had 70% of the possession, more chances, and even more shots on goal. It took dogged defending from segio ramos and co and jadedness from messi to secure this win. I felt with the xavi chance being converted earlier on it would have been a different game entirely.

It is an act of the devil to conclude that barca is on a downhill because of the loss. In the last two games that they have lost they bossed the whole game constraining the opposition to just behind the centre half. Madrid had to counter and search for set pieces to be alive in the game. I also felt that barca concentrated on playing too well to secure the win- they looked for neat one twos, through passes et al. It wouldnt work all the time, you would need to play dirty some times.

But the Tall striker thingy is not neccessarily the solution. As AJanlekoko (sorry for misspelling it) has rightly said, all those solutions didnt work well. Barca should just play dirty, xavi and co can take shots from outside the box they mustnt always depend on Messi to deliver the goods.

The whole farce about messi not showing up when xavi and co dont is getting annoying. Messi has more assists than both xavi and iniesta this season and Ronaldo is more heavily dependent on ozeil, benzema, alonso and co than messi is on the other lads in barca. Ronaldo thrives in teams that play for him. Notwithstanding he is a very GREAT player.

I dont think chelsea can withstand the barage they would face at nou camp for two reasons: the size of the pitch and the lone goal difference! Mourinho needed the two goal advantage while at inter because at 1-0 and say extra time barca wouldve crushed inter. If barca score an early goal or not the game would have to go into extra time making chelsea to suffer longer. forget the argument that barca would get fatigued pressing for too long. This is not a muhammed ali vs forman fight in football the longer you dont have the ball the faster you get jaded. Thats why most big teams still nick it and beat the small teams in that situation.

NB: I am an ARSENAL FAN.
this is a rant - madrid fans cannot be bothered about 70% possession or 95% possession.
it is what you do with the possession that counts. pep guardiola is an idiot - i admire his
bravery for coming up with so many attacking ideas but there are times he's done it so stupidly.

possession is just a means to an end. when guardiola first took over, attacking was their intention
and possession was a tool with which they achieved it. these days, it seems possession is the intention and
scoring has become secondary. nobody dares shoot from a distance for fear of losing possession.
of what essence is 77% possession without scoring? pep guardiola should take some blame here.

playing 3-4-3 against madrid's 4-2-3-1 is a tactical harakiri.
with madrid on the attack, busquets had to drop deeper to make up for the missing defender thus
leaving ozil with all the time in the world to cause havoc. if you allow ozil to receive the ball
and look up for a pass, then it's trouble! madrid deserve the la liga title, they have been the better team.

Generally speaking, the Asians are also affected by racism when it comes to getting jobs etc but they have alternatives like, their own businesses to build their community and provide for themselves and they support each other. the Africans/black (especially Nigerians) on the other hand have very little entrepreneurship skills and the worst part is we don't even support each other.

The only reason I created this thread was, because I was horrified that Obi Nwokeh, Christopher Omoregrie & Samson Odegbune were jailed for murder in the UK. That triggered my memory about how young Nigerian was killed a few years ago, because of gang violence.

That is the SOLE reason why I created this thread, because it seems like there is a problem. No need to misconstrue my words.
