bskyb: I thought I was the only one who has this view. This guy is one of the most successful coaches Nigeria has ever had. He came tops of his group, yet they want him to resign because of lacklustre performance. People have forgotten the time when it was a norm for Nigerians to use calculators to permutate Nigeria's chances of qualifying.
Just two tournaments have been held since his appointment: AFCON and the World Cup. He qualified us very convincingly for these two tournaments after missing out on the two previous AFCON tournaments where indigenous coaches were in charge.
Now tell me, did you really expect to win a tournament you haven't been to in a long time? But this man got us to third place. Did you really expect us to win the World Cup?
His style of play is depressing, yes, but saying he hasn't been impressive in terms of delivering results is just a blatant lie.
I stopped reading a lot of monikers' posts a long time ago. Once I see your name, I skip( I don't give a fvck if your post contains some RP knowledge. It's all deceit)
I'm gradually losing interest in this thread.
Lots of NAWALTS. Lots of pretenders.
It's simply an indicator of the lack of proper understanding of female nature. People are not ready for the truth. I even hate it that redpill knowledge is becoming more mainstream. Everything is getting watered down so that we won't be seen as misogynists. These bitches are shamelessly carrying out their acts of misandry without putting you into consideration (unless it benefits them in one way or the other) but here we are trying to water down and denigrate the very tool that brought us out of slavery.
Let's just hope that with time, they'll realise that they have no place here.
If only you guys would use the same amount of energy to speak against the constant invitations of Musa and Shehu who add very little to the team. At least we know Ighalo can score goals
What does Musa offer? What does Shehu offer? But we gotta have that quota system, don't we?
lbrichman2: For me, I kinda want Ighalo to politely turn down the invite or give an excuse not to show up He's never been a fan favorite, and if things go wrong, he will be terribly insulted Man has paid his dues, though I don't mind having him come from the bench, but Nigerian fans have not been fair to him For that reason, I hope he politely declines
.
Exactly. It's obvious most Nigerians don't like him. He already shut a lot of people up by being the highest goalscorer at the last AFCON. He has absolutely nothing to prove to anyone.
I remember when people criticized Rohr for playing Junior Lokosa out of position on his debut and then dropping him immediately. These are the same people criticizing Nwakaeme who was also played out of his preferred position on a day where a John Ogu goal was the only highlight of the match. How many of our wingers are currently better than Nwakaeme in terms of present form and also consistency?
chrisooblog: Egbon Westerhof also used to drop squad players when needs demanded. Owobokiri that was killing it in Portugal and even scored against South Africa during the 1994 WC qualifier was barely called again but Efan Ekoku that didn't do anything in the SE he took straight to WC. Ugbade that was dropped for Emenalo nko? Clemens too dropped a few notable players during his time but I give it to him he knew how to strike a balance and motivate his players.
Keshi in a bid to mold his own team I think picked players based mostly on how loyal they were to him instead of first using ability/talent as a bench mark. Every good coach has an ego but you shouldn't let it blind you from working with the best talents just because they won't bow to you.
Exactly. Some coaches are fond of this nonsense. Once they realise a player is unwilling to kiss their asss like other players do, they automatically develop hatred for that player. They start to feel threatened and will do everything in their power to bring that player down.
They'll say players need to be humble but what they really mean is that players should develop the much desired skill of ass kissing. All defaulters will get kicked to the side. It's so pathetic.
They succeeded in tying our hands, but they also want to keep our mouths gagged. They want us to be REAL MEN and WALK AWAY . I'll walk away alright, but not without dragging along with me a huge chunk of their self confidence and narcissism. Call me petty, I call it equality.
Some times, I just ignore (especially online) but silence is often seen as weakness and these bitchess need a dose of their own medicine when it comes to being rude to men.
Ogbotobo77: This right here is my problem now...I've become wary of the opp sex..It has made me more selfish..and when girls try to ask for favors I'm too blunt with my replies...I communicate well but when they try to bring in drama I'm too quick to react ...it's almost as if girls are scared of me now..even my guys feel I'm too brutal...how can I find a balance?...
You have no idea the gift you're about to throw away. Keep that brutal reply energy. Society prevents you from beating them with your fists, but you can beat them with your words.
MetalJigsaw: 5 Remarkable Records That Nigeria Holds In FIFA World Cup History. CalistoSports The Super Eagles of Nigeria are undoubtedly one of the best national teams on the African continent. Whether it is in the African Cup of Nations or the FIFA World Cup, Nigeria has made a name for herself. This is not hard to know as Nigeria currently has 5 remarkable records she holds in FIFA World Cup history.
As the qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup continues, the aim of making it to another World Cup is very high. Although, things seemed a bit complicated after the Super Eagles 1 – 0 loss to the Central African Republic.
After their 0 – 2 defeat of the Central African Republic, Nigeria now retains the top spot in their World Cup qualifying group with 9 points so far. After their shocking 1 – 0 loss to the same team a few days back, responding in such a fashion was the best.
Heading into the later stages of the competition, Nigeria will be buoyed by the fact that the country has been there for the second-highest times by an African country. If they make it to Qatar 2022 World Cup, they will be looking to improve on these records.
Here are the 5 records held by Nigeria in FIFA World Cup history.
5. Joint most goals in one tournament.
Although this is a joint record with Senegal, Nigeria has the joint highest goal-scoring record by an African team in a single World Cup. In the 1994 World Cup, Nigeria set this record by scoring 7 goals in tournament.
Senegal matched the Super Eagles in the 2002 World Cup. In that tournament, they scored 7 goals on their way to the quarter-finals of the competition.
4. African team with most qualifications from the group stages.
As of this day, Nigeria holds the record for the most times an African team qualified from their World Cup group. In the group stage of various World Cup tournaments, Nigeria has made it out of their group a record 3 times. Sadly, they were eliminated at the round of 16 on each of those three occasions.
3. Most goals scored.
Another record held in the world cup is the highest number of goals scored by an African team in World Cup history. In the history of the World Cup, Nigeria have scored a total of 23 goals.
2. Most matches won.
Nigeria also holds the record for the highest number of matches won by an African team in World Cup history. Nigeria has won a total of 6 matches so far. While this is not so encouraging even for the Super Eagles, it is the highest by any from the African continent.
1. Most rounds of 16 matches played.
The last record in this article is the number of rounds of 16 matches played by an African team in the World Cup. So far, Nigeria has played in 3, which is a record by any African country.
If the performances of the Super Eagles in World Cup history is compared to other African countries in a tabular form like in league games, Nigeria will top the table. As such, we could say that Nigeria is perhaps the best African country in World Cup history.
With Nigeria on course to get to the next round of the CAF World Cup qualifiers, the Super Eagles will be looking to secure a ticket to Qatar. If they do, they can bank on these records to do better. Can they? We will have to wait till they have the chance to do so.
Lol, I'm sure you intended posting this on the SE thread bro.
TheGoodJoe: I agree but we can use him the way Tuchel uses Mount. With a little training on releasing the ball earlier and utilizing his pace to run to space, he can become a brilliant, what I term, Offensive midfielder.
You will notice it when Bernado Silva plays in the midfield. Although Bernado is on another level of football.
codemaniacs: Is that how he plays at club level Because chukwueze and some other players also do dribbles when in S.E they will never attempt at club level...
Every player has what works for them i.e their selling point. It could be pace, goalscoring, dribbling, passing, etc. For Ejuke,it is the dribbles. He is a fantastic dribbler. The downside about most fantastic dribblers is that they tend to overdo it especially is crucial situations. We are happy today because he came on when we were already leading. What happens tomorrow when we may be loosing and are in dire need of a goal?
Neymar was a fantastic dribbler before he moved to Barca and that team helped him learn on how to be a team player. That led to one of the most dangerous attacks the football world has ever seen i.e MSN.
To those clamouring for Ejuke to be our new NO 10, know this : The worst kind of AM any striker would wish to have is one who doesn't know when to release the ball. Efficiency over dribbles any day, any time.
