I have made the mistake of writing on my date 2014. Yesterday, during sermon in church, i made the error again, i checked the previous jottings and i still wrote 2014. Please share with us here if you have made that same error. |
There are some topics some people should be mindful of posting, especially Christians, all in the name of getting into front page, you allow some ignorant people to make some comments that may be derogatory to God. If you know giving first fruit is biblical and the reward works...go ahead |
I will tell him that he comes from this country Where his father was a treefeller And that the East also runs in his veins And that such mixes make very beautiful children That he is strong and very much alive I will tell him that he was born of love That we were waiting for him with excitement That every night makes way for a new day That he will grow up one day but he still has got time Yes my lord, he still has got time And that life may call to him, and that the world will await him And that earth is that beautiful and the sky so large That he is beautiful and that I love him, that he's my life, my joy That he is one amongst millions of people But for me he's a one-of-a-kind I will tell him that you have to learn everything here inside The good, the bad and even happiness That he shall never loose his eyes of a child In front of all the ugliness and tragedy That he shall always look with the help of his heart I will tell him to behave well and to be careful To brush against ice and fire To get a taste of everything but never to be dependent on anything That very little things could be worse Oh only very few things could be worse And that life may call to him, and that the world will await him And that earth is that beautiful and the sky so large That he is beautiful and that I love him, that he's my life, my joy That he is one amongst millions of people But for me he's a one-of-a-kind I will tell him the songs and the poems That there's no love without trouble That happiness is a seed that you sow That you can't buy love and health And that those things are the only riches you have I will tell him that one day another woman Will come and love him and that he will love her That I will die out of happiness and of tears But that we will be there step after step That that is life and its rules And that life may call to him, and that the world will await him And that earth is that beautiful and the sky so large That he is beautiful and that I love him, that he's my life, my joy That he is one amongst millions of people But for me he's a one of a kind |
I was given a leadership position in my church in August to head the youth. So far, analyzing my experience, i've encountered these sets of followers: 1. Those who need incentives before they follow your orders. 2. Those who always agree with your rules (even though it may not suit them) 3. In terms of levy to execute a project, they will agree with you on the fixed amount levied and even say the amount is too small to execute the project but in the end, a penny they won't contribute. 4. Those who do not have the resources to help but are great motivators 5. Those who will never agree with any of your innovation or decision. 6. Those who thinks they can coordinate better than you and when given any task to head, they flop 7. Those who are pessimistic, who wishes for failure in any task, and when there is, they quickly put the blame on the LEADER! 8. Those that are part of your team but uses words like '' na una sabi'' ''you people...'' 9. Those that believes in you, even though your weakness is more obvious than your strength 10. Those that are at first lethargic but later supportive and enthusiastic 11. Those that are faithful from the start to the end 12. Those who underestimate themselves and require special attention to build their esteem 13. Those who uses your position as an avenue to turn you into their bank where they can borrow money from when they are in need 14. Those who will never be there for you at all!!! I decided to post this so that those who reads this as a leader or intending leader will learn. Thanks. |
what do you think the devil looks like? I do watch some clips on Nollywood movies and other dramatic display portraying the devil's character. I am a stage actor. I was given a role to play in my church as Jesus, then one of my colleague was to act as Satan. We began to wear our costume and the devil character wore a designers black costume. The other colleague of mind had to tell him to change that costume that the devil is an ugly creature. I disagreed with his point, i reminded him of whom the devil was(a morning star in Isaiah 14 vs 12) and still is. Please i need you all to throw more light on this. |
hmmm, funny |
hmmm...Oscar, Oscar, Oscar. Let God's will be done. I pity him though, i guess the trial times has changed him (he is remorseful each time i see him on screen) |
I want to know the cost of producing a Nollywood movie if it worth the waste of money and time. How long was the script written cos the last time i checked...Ebola palava neva reach a month for naija! |
It was so funny today at my church when i arrived, i met the usual entrance usher who i expected to shake my hand (the usual way) to my surprise, he told me to open my palm and poured some drop of liquid soap on it, then he said ''go wash your hands at the tap.'' Entering the auditorium after washing my hands, i was ushered to a seat and i also noticed that the chairs were double spaced to prevent body touching. Throughout the service, i didnt hear from the pastor and the officiating ministers these words: ''shake your neighbour'' or '' hold your neighbours''. Funny how Ebola can change systems... |
I am a stage actor, i'd like to be involved in screenplays. I write scripts also. I'm in...perhaps meeting you would be a plus to me. My number is 08188192838 |
I remember hearing a preaching about this topic. The snake apparently was like perhaps a lizard like or a dragon-like creature....so the curse ofcourse made the offspring of serpents to be exactly like the way God described the curse...lol |
Hello Nairalanders i have been reading comments and posts, on tv and other social sites mourning Nelson Mandela. But then i ask myself this question, should we actually be mourning or celebrating him? In my opinion, i see him as a great icon, a man who has set a pace not only in Africa but the world at large, he should be celebrated... I stand to be corrected in your comments please, what do you think? |

hello my people, let us discuss about this if you see reasons with me |
I'm sorry to say this but whoever wrote this topic is just trying to make people sin against God and i call him/her a silly being. What is wrong with that? |
Hello Nairalander, i need your advice on this game. I haven't played it before on religious grounds. Recently, someone urged me to consider playing it based on how i told him about my present dire need of money. I would appreciate a good and concise advice from you ( no derogatory messages please) |
I am... PAUL IK DAIRO... Watch out 4 my new album titled ' i am... Nebuchadnezzar IV' lolz |
Since i started acting in 2002, i've not been too emotional about movies but before then, 'mother india' was touching (i wish to see the movie again) especially the scene when the mother shot her child. |
Abeg o! Cool fm is my number one hit music station o!! God please make them throw it at each other, not COOL FM this time. |
This 'charley boy' issue is getting out of hand on Nairaland. Nice quotes from his father, he detests 'charlyboy' not 'charles'. I do not see why anybody should be making a derogatory comment about a 'father' who sees the bright side of his 'son' irrespective of the 'charlyboism' in him |
