So, there was this lady introduced to me by my aunty as a single guy, you know the African way of patronizing someone who is due for settling down. The general view is that you should settle down to be responsible.

Voters should vote devoid of collecting money pre, during and post election for us to regain our freedom from political slavery and indeed right to good governance.

For me the structural influence of politicians is the big deal.
Political structure as it is always mouthed is not just the numbers of people, but the influence of key political players on their constituent voters.

The leader of one of the political parties in my district once brag to me that no politician can win his party candidate in his ward even if the politician is giving voters 20k on election day.

I then probe further to know why and he told me that he has had a strong hold on his constituents over the time by reaching out to their need in terms of their children school fees, house rent, food stuff, job opportunity etc in time of their pressing need.

He said such people can't deviate from his instruction. He further stated that he has been practicing politics since the 2nd republic, and the key decision on voters direction is made in the night to the election day.
He gathers heads of households, entertain them, then tell them their collective direction on election day.

I then asked him why should they comply with his instruction, and he said few will deviate but majority will comply knowing fully well that if his candidate fail then his livelihood will be affected. And if their helper is affected then consequently their help too will be affected.

What he told u is nothing but the truth.

I keep saying this, never borrow anybody money you cannot gift them.

Many Nigerians are very terrible people and bad debtors. So, it's better to be called stingy than have yourself killed over peanut.

Stories like this is one of the reasons why I always laugh whenever I see serial debtors complain about loan sharks.

I started observing this pattern since 2018
I was posted away from my then girlfriend to another state for NYSC hence couldn’t engage in serious relationship through out my service

…But seriously that year was one of my favorite in terms of financial success.
As a serving corper I was also working freelance for two different companies in Lagos. … coupled with other gigs … I was in money.

After service I met a lady and we kicked off a relationship, within 2months of us into the love affair, I lost the two jobs as a freelance was done with service so had to start some money making venture, but was tough, well the relationship lasted four months.

After three months of us breaking up I had a business idea, year 2020, got into it and within two months I made my first million was single for a year.

2021 I met a lady and started meeting … and within a space of 6 months, I was back to square one…

Early this year was tough and depressing, and by June, we were already having relationship problem, hence some space between us.

But from September I notice some positivity, business took off I started saving up and by November I had to buy a property to compensate myself for a hardworking year ..

Now my problem is I’m disturbed , this lady been asking for us making the relationship official .. but I’m scared loosing it all … I keep getting back to the ground when I’m in relationship…

But will I be single for life … I’m just lost.
